I use You Tube and Vimeo Plus.
And also Amazon S3 with EasyVideoPlayer.

I would actually recommend you use them ALL for maximum exposure.
Use Tubemogul to broadcast your video throughout all of the video services. Make sure to subscribe to your own comment threads so you can interact with the people that are watching your videos.

If you're looking for SEO benefits, the obvious answer would be YouTube as there's a ton of potential traffic & visibility through their search alone, there's also the possibility of receiving benefits of video listings on Google SERPs with YouTube videos thanks to their ownership.
The only downside is that you may end up having a competitor advertising via advertisements on your video.
Another option is Vimeo, but they have very strict rules on commercial content, so it would depend what you're planning to upload, even with a pro account I think some people have had issues with commercial content.

Granted: ultimately you cannot hide video as a person can take a screen-capture/video camera method ultimately. Having said that. Is it still worth going the RTMP S3 route? Vs say Vimeo and Wistia. Will it help a bit or its a technology that is dying? Also with Vimeo PRO vs Wistia generally Vimeo is better value, but how is their analytics compared to Wistia (per user stats) if possible? Vimeo is a very popular, therefore downloaded 3rd party apps exist plentifully, is Wistia's platform unique to Vimeo in terms of its embed format if its same format this means that the commonly available tools as for Vimeo will work for Wistia, how ever if its different, and less popular as RTMP S3 is in this case less tools are available for it. Is that the case for Wistia?

Local SEO: Specific pointers on how to improve my campaign
Hello, I changed my address midstream in my campaign, from spelling out "Suite H" to now it's #H. Wow, what a cleanup job. I'm in at least 3 dozen directories I've found, and it looks like there are more. I'm adding myself to all the main directories that yext lists here. I've also used whitespark for a couple of months. My site is here. The term I'm targeting is "Boise Weight Loss. I"m on page 3 and not in the local results. Could you guys give me some pointers on how to get up into the top 3 of the local results? I'm planning on cleaning up and adding directories. I don't know how many I'll need, and of course I am looking for pointers on the other factors (besides citations) as well. Thanks!

Hosting Video both on YouTube AND Independently on Site?
I've got a pretty good handle on the pros / cons of hosting on videos on a free service like YouTube vs. hosting them independently with something like Wistia. But one question I've never heard answered is "Why not host the same video both ways?" Why wouldn't I publish a video to YouTube (to get the exposure and better chance to rank) and then also host the same video independently on my site with Wistia (to get a second listing in the SERPs, as well as a thumbnail that links to my site)? Is this seen as a spammy practice? Duplicate content? Would love to hear your thoughts on this as it's something that seems to potentially be a win-win, but haven't heard it discussed. Thanks!

Video SEO Markup Test
Hey Everyone, I'm trying to get a video marked up on my (test) website and it is not working. I was hoping someone around here could lend a hand. the post is www.zachsemago.com/?p=28 This is my first ever markup attempt. I assume I just put the markup that applies in the appropriate place in the wordpress post. I thought I had it setup right, and the google rich snippet testing tool told me it extracted some video data. I chose to rank for something without competition so I targeted "how to buy a car on jupiter, mars". The post shows up #1 for that term and some other related ones, but no video. I thought I had covered all my bases, can someone please take a peek and let me know if I'm screwing up somewhere? FYI, I don't have a video sitemap operating. Of the articles I read, it seemed a video sitemap was not mandatory. But regardless my brain has turned to mush on the subject so if I should/shouldn't use one pleas tell! Thanks

Can this make one's local listing vanish from Google local search?
Hi All, Does anyone know if selecting "Yes, this business serves customers at their locations" under "service areas and location settings" in Google Places can cause a business's listing to disappear from Google local search? My interior designer client has a bricks-and-mortar location, was ranking at about #20 for "interior designer" in Portland, and now has dropped from local search. I had "No, all customers come to the business location" selected previously. In the past week, before the vanishing, I made these changes: 1. changed the service area to "Yes, this business serves customers at their locations", 2. removed "Portland" from the description in Google Places, and 3. submitted maybe two dozen directory listings to high DA sites (using Whitespark as the tool for determining where to post). Video Optimization
Our videos are not appearing in Google video search. We use Brightcove for our videos and thety are in embedded in the site as flash and html 5. We are using meta data on the Brightcove videos We have added a video sitemap and submitted it to GWT - but after several months, our videos are still not showing up Any ideas how we can address this problem and better optimize our videos for the search engines? While we post some of our videos on Youtube, we use Brightcove when we embed and publish the videos on our site
