I am new to wordpress I just have started using it. Can anyone suggest me some useful tools / plugins / setting for SEO? I am further intrested in sepeeding up Wp. Any good advive on wp an seo would be appriciated.

Just noticed your reply below, with regards to speeding your WP site up, try a cache plugin such as WP Super Cache - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/

I am still waiting I got no ideas on speeding up so far or someone may suggest good plugins as well

Can also recommend Wordpress SEO by Yoast: http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/
Has a lot of the features mentioned from the other SEO related plugins, but all-in-one.

1. Best SEO plugin for Wordpress is All-In One SEO. Its a fantastic plugin that allows you to manage each page accordingly in terms of setting your meta titles, meta descriptions and so forth.
The great thing about this plugin is that there is loads of documentation and talk out there about how to maximise the settings to suite your SEO task.
2. Google MXL Sitemap: Remember your sitemap plugin. There are many great sitemap plugins available for wordpress.
3. Clickbump SEO: This tweaks your article in terms of correct H 1-3 headings, keyword density and so forth. The great thing about this plugin is that it gives you a seo score based on most of the common factors for that a rticle.
4. **SEO Smart Links Business: **SEO Smart Links Business provides automatic SEO benefits for your site in addition to custom keyword lists, nofollow and much more.
5. **Then lastly, look at **Jetpack . This great plug-ins gives your live stats on visits and other kpi's within wordpress panel. Obviously its no seomoz
but it still does rock.Hope that this gives a more than average good start

Site Launching, not SEO Ready
Hi, So, we have a site going up on Monday, that in many ways hasn't been gotten ready for search. The focus has been on functionality and UX rather than search, which is fair enough. As a result, I have a big list of things for the developer to complete after launch (like sorting out duplicate pages and adding titles that aren't "undefined" etc.). So, my question is whether it would be better to noindex the site until all the main things are sorted before essentially presenting search engines with the best version we can, or to have the site be indexed (duplicate pages and all) and sort these issues "live", as it were? Would either method be advisable over the other, or are there any other solutions? I just want to ensure we start ranking as well as possible as quickly as possible and don't know which way to go. Thanks so much!

WordPress post indexation speed
Has anyone noticed any increases in the length of time it takes for WP posts to get indexed by Google? I have a website with the following: domain.com - CMS with lots of pages/content blog.domain.com - subdomain for the blog using WP It's odd.. the pages on the main site are indexed almost immediately. The posts on the blog are taking between 2-5 days. The blog posts are all unique content, here's an example of a recent one: blog.looksfishy.co.uk/2013/three-rivers-angling/

Will invalid HTML code generated by WordPress affect SEO efforts?
Hi all, I'm new to SEOmoz and SEO in general really. I run a small but well regarded freelance website and graphic design business, and until very recently had an employee who handled the SEO side of things. I'm now looking to step into this role myself and hopefully learn the in's and out's of SEO. I've no doubt there will be much to learn, but the SEOmoz tools and it's community seem excellent and helpful. My question then is basically, if WordPress generated HTML code can have an effect on SEO, when it's reported as invalid by tools such as the W3C HTML validator? I'm used to hand coding the majority of my websites for clients, where creating valid HTML and CSS code is something I can do with relative ease. A new client however wants to use WordPress - for ease of updating the site content themselves. The client does however consider any potential SEO implications to be a very important factor in choosing a hand coded vs. WordPress based website. I am aware that WordPress itself is just a means of generating HTML code, and that to the search engines there is no difference between this and the hand coded websites I usually produce. However if WordPress is generating HTML that is being reported as invalid, would this make the search engines penalise the site? On a second note, will the search engines look negatively on a WordPress site where it is being used as a standard website, and the content may not be updated as frequently, as say, a blog? Index or Noindex Wordpress Categories?
I've read a few different opinions on this, but I'm still unclear as to the best practice. I use my categories more like tags. Let's say I write a post about about seo, local marketing, and indexing. I would use the categories "seo"+"marketing"+"indexing". Therefore, that same post will show up in all three category pages. If these category pages are all set to be indexed, what impact does that have on my post being indexed? Should I noindex all of the categories except for the main ones to avoid too much duplicate content? Or do you recommend noindexing all of the categories? I know some seo plugins make this easy to do (I'm using Yoast). The only reason I'm hesitant to noindex all categories is because some of them rank well for their subject. I also already tried noindexing about a month ago and lost a lot of blog traffic, so I reversed it. Now some of my category pages have overtaken my post rankings, which makes it harder for the reader to find the content, but my overall blog traffic is back up. With my situation, what is the best thing to do long term? I just started using my blog a lot more so I want to know that I have it setup correctly. Thanks in advance!

Yoast canonical SEO question
Hi I've installed Yoasts SEO plugin. I've just set it up as a campaign in SEOMOZ pro and i now see 14 notices about rel=canonical. I haven't added the rel=canonical myself and is in connection with the Yoast code on the site. Why does it do that and should i do something about it?

Ecommerce SEO with 130 keywords
Hello everyone, My name is Davys and I'm what you call a newbie...so the question may sound stupid....But where we go. In this campaign I will be targeting around 130 to 150 keywords to my store. So here is the technical question. What is the right way of indexing 150 keywords? Should I attempt to have all 150 going to www.mysite.com or should I break it down into smaller pages if I can put it that way. Like www.mysite.com/pages/bikiniwax for example. Even if I break it down, what is the right amount of keywords that I should SEO per page? Or do 150 pages? Please helppppppppppppppppppppp.... 🙂 Thanks a lot for your help.

SEO LINKS
New to S.E.O. so excuse my naivety. I have made lots of new links some of them paid for e.g. Best of the Web but I don’t see any change in the latest competitive link analysis. Some of the links we have been accepted for just do not show. Also the keywords we are trying to promote the most have disappeared off the radar for over 2 weeks now.
