That will make you look really good if messages like that are plastered all over every blog in your niche.

Would be best to buy services like this for your competitors. lol

The most likely negative result is that Google will know that the links are paid and they will pass no value - thus wasted money.

Another potential negative result is that these links will stink up your link profile and your rankings will suffer.  Nobody knows exactly how google detects of measures this.

If you have a great site stay on the white hat path.... if the only way you can get links is by shady methods... guess you are stuck with them.

On-page optimization, or link-building?

If this is a content site.... neither.... Spend the time to make social sharing very easy.    Any left-over time trying to get links from hub sites in that niche.

If this is a retail site... would go for links from the easy industry and community resource sites.

For both sites would ask for 8 more hours to brainstorm highly linkable content that the site owners will produce.

I would pay a fee to protect my best content in the Google SERPs.

ha ha...  I think they did rush this out.... they were quickly trying to pull up their pants after getting embarassed from the JCPenny problem... they needed to bust a few heads quickly...
