I recently landed a client about 2 months ago. About 1 month ago organic started to go down. I'm not 100% sure it's Google hummingbird. Has anyone else looked at their GA or GWT and seen a decline?

When using OSE, where does it pull the Facebook data from? Open Graph? Like this? https://graph.facebook.com/http://www.moz.com I am trying to find out because my URLs are coming in with completely different information: https://graph.facebook.com/http://www.discoverhawaiitours.com/to/discovertheroadtohana_21a.html We are using the ShareThis plugin and I think it's not reporting the right info.

Hey ya'll! We are looking to re-build our backoffice website. It's a dynamically generated site that pulls information from a DB. The DB is populated by the quote form. The DB contains the customers' info, shipping, email templates, and everything to process orders. The backoffice website is custom made in JAVA, but the owner is not happy with the programmer. I told the owner we may want to go to a PHP Framework. My question is which PHP framework would you recommend and why? Zend CakePHP Symfony CodeIgniter

I try and answer many questions here on SEOMoz Q&A, but the page load speed seems so slow I think my browser is going to time out. I don't remember it being this slow. Anybody else noticing slow loading (especially when asking, answering, or replying to questions)?

Piece of advice from me to you... if you are trying to rank higher by doing something that can be easily done (like paid links, directory submissions, article submissions, and even crappy guest blog posts, blog network for backlinks), there is a HIGH likeliness that you will unintentionally hurt your site. Ask questions here in Q&A before doing something stupid, but 1st read the beginners guide.

I just saw a big drop in Facebook URL Likes on my clients' websites. Has anyone else seen this too? Looks like Facebook is cleaning out the SPAM Likes.

I know SEO, PPC, some web development & CSS, Google Analytics like a ninja, BUT I don't know crap about php. Can anyone recommend  books or online courses as a great starting point on learning php?

I want to find websites that have linked 404s to my competitors. My goal is to contact webmasters who have linked to my competitors with 404s, but I cannot figure out how to get Open Site Explorer to give me that data. I can easily see this in GWT for my own site, but I need this for my competition instead. Does anybody know a quick way to get this information?

Does SEOmoz have a glossary of terms. I answer many questions in Q&A and many people don't know what things stand for. "Uuhhhhh what's GWT?" "UUUUUhhh who's Matt Cutts?" "DDuuuhhhhh What GA?" I think it would be good to have a Glossary. SEObook has one, but I don't want to link from this forum to SeoBook. I want to keep it all in the Moz family of subscribers. (DDuurrrr, what's a SERP?)

I have a prospect in the credit repair industry. Does anybody know of some software where the clients can log into their own accounts to see the progress? The feature I am looking for is like a Real Estate website where the brokers can create their own accounts and upload their own properties.

On my homepage http://www.shipoverseas.com, I have 142 FB Likes, 9 Tweets, 3 +1s. In OSE it shows, FB Likes 86, Tweets 4, and 3 +1s. Does anyone know why there is a discrepancy? I am using AddThis.

There are many schemas for products, but I don't see any for services. They have intangible offers, but it's still for selling a product. I contacted Schema.org an no response. I am about to land another fat client and it's in a highly competitive industry. While looking at the competition, it is clear to me that the competitors have an SEO link building team. Since Americans are too expensive for the budget allocated to this project, I need to outsource to India, Philippines, or some third world nation. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD LINK BUILDING COMPANY IN A DEVELOPING NATION (EDITED: 3RD WORLD) COUNTRY?

My client has way too many emails coming into his inbox and it's preventing him from closing orders. He wants to be able to split the email load among everyone in sales so he isn't burdened with answering all the emails while his staff sit on their asses. Can anyone recommend a system where emails sent to info@example.com are answered like a customer service system?

Anyone recommend one over the other? If so, why? I don't care about price.

Last week I implemented Facebook Comments and Addthis to my site. Rankings went up for nearly all my keywords.  I have people from Africa, Europe and USA asking questions. Every time someone comments, it is shared on their Facebook Wall. I want to know if anybody has experienced this besides me? Here's my site if you want to see it in action.

I was doing some link building and some SEO's said that the Panda update affected many websites. I am going to use eZineArticles.com as my example. EzineArticles was affected by the Panda update and does not show up in the SERPs as much as before. But they still have doFollow Links coming from the articles I am submitting. QUESTION: Regardless if EzineArticles was affected by the Panda Update, isn't a "Follow Link" still a "Follow Link" OR am I completely wasting my time on this devalued website? Edit: Yes I know a PR 0 page is not as valuable as a PR 9 page. I am asking from the standpoint of the affected Panda Update domains overall.

I am way past OnSite SEO. I want other avenues of earning links, not chasing people for links. I have about 20 articles that I want to put on my upcoming blog. Doing this will not build links immediately, but what about high quality article submission? I have example.com & I plan on creating example.com/blog. I need links to my site within 2 to 3 months. I feel becoming a freelancer for Demand Media (eHow) or a writer for Ezinearticles would be easy & faster than waiting for natural link building. Of course my articles would have embedded links pointing back to my site. ANY SUGGESTIONS? How about a White Board Friday on this?

When the last linkscape update happened, I saw a new incoming link from USA Today Travel. SeoMoz rates the link as a 9.5 for DA and PA is 24. The article was written by someone from Demand Media. I tried contacting the author to work out a deal. Since I did not receive a response, I investigated Demand Media myself.  They are a large group of content writers. I have finished building the site and now I'm in the link building process for highly competitive keywords. My 2 Questions: I can write articles all freakin day about what I do. I NEED to build links. Should I become a freelancer for Demand Media? I don't care about the pay because I am well paid. Is there anything to be concerned about with the Panda Update? All responses are appreciated. Please give me a thumbs up if you found this question interesting (because apparently some other post says nobody gives thumbs up)

I have a client I landed about 1 1/2 months ago. The only traffic coming to the site is from Google Adwords.  The goal page is the "Get A Quote" page and the closing ratio is 32.4%.  So about 1 in 3 visits fill out the quote form.  I usually do eCommerce and I am used to seeing 2-3% goal conversions. But 32.4%???? Is that normal for a regular static site (non-ecommerce).  It's been like that for a whole week! Should I toot my own horn here?

Here the setup: Server is hosted inhouse. It got attacked using a DDOS from 20+ IP addresses spoofing in different counries. Our server overloaded and didn't work anymore. URL is registered at GoDaddy. Signed up at Dreamhost.  We pointed DNS to Dreamhost successfully. Attacks kept coming and messed up other sites on the Dreamhost shared server.  We didn't know we were being followed at first. We originally thought they were attacking the IP address on our inhouse server. Dreamhost noticed the attack and put us on a seperate IP and disabled our URL until the attacks 'stopped'. MY QUESTION IS: What do I do if they don't stop? Close shop? 99% of the business is internet driven. This has to be the blackest Blackhat SEO ever.

I have a client who already has rankings in the US & internationally. The site is broken down like this: url.com (main site with USA & International Rankings) url.com/de url.com/de-english url.com/ng url.com/au url.com/ch url.com/ch-french url.com/etc Each folder has it's own sitmap & relative content for it's respective country. I am reading in google webmaster tools > site config > settings, the option under 'Learn More': "If you don't want your site associated with any location, select Unlisted." If I want to keep my client's international rankings the way it currently is on url.com, do NOT geo target to United States? So I select unlisted, right? Would I use geo targeting on the url.com/de, url.com/de-english, url.com/ng, url.com/au and so on?
