just update the page I have done it quite a few times in google places also try to update most of the main citations you have on the web
It looks like someone used a commenting bot on your site.... Not much you can do about it
so if it was not you or your seo company than probably a competitor
just disable javascript and you can see how the search engines see it they are just using java to create the motion those links are seen and followed by google
Well I think you should for sure get some pages on your website with the videos on them and a video sitemap setup.
A way to get them in the press release have a picture of what the video looks like with a url to your website.
Its cheap but if its a good video people won't bounce cause of it.
Just an idea
There are very few directories that are worth much anymore because they have so many external links the links are devalued I think you still might get some benefit from the few super popular directories like yahoo & dmoz.
Stick to paid.. or human verified
It will pass link juice. But a sub-domain acts as its own domain so think of it as another domain.
I do not think it includes onpage optimization at least from what i have seen
Get some more content on the home page about emv cards than run some campaigns for backlinks like infographics or press releases you shoudl be able to get in the top 3
If you 301 to the new page from that url it may change idk if having 404s after a redesign is a good idea
the crawl is done by servers you can shut down your pc i think it emails u when done
I would guess they might have made macros to organize data they get from analytics, seomoz or some other tracking software. That might be a benefit to there clients but you could do seo without it if you didn't have a huge ammount of keywords and pages
if its 301ed the pagerank should flow how long has it been since you changed? You should try to get some links to you new url if possible aswell?
It all depends on your keywords generate a keyword list and create a campaign
In an easy answer yes they are helpful but they don't like you spam links so be smart about it. And what you are trying to accomplish
Im still getting my hybrid places/natural listings with 5 stars but for some reason a few pages of mine stopped displaying the 5 stars for an unknown reason (maybe traffic)
I would not suggest reciprocating links to start get your google local listings in order and submit to every local placement site. Go for citations more than links at this point try to work on social media. Don't be in a rush to build links it could hurt you.
Just about every site when you search google that offers backlinks for money you should avoid....... Try local news sites and sites like Patch
Search Engines do not use meta-keywords for ranking.................
I would never use all the keywords you are targeting in that meta it makes less work for you competition to outrank you
I know if you get a manual spam penalty changing the domain & 301 redirecting will get around the ban. But if its an algorithmic change you would think that the new domain now has the same bad links still flowing to it so it would not matter. but i'd like to see a test on that subject
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/sef/10134
This is what we use it does all come down to the extensions you have installed. But you can exclude any extension that does not work right '
But a new stock site if configured right does just as well as any other site in the serps
The First Page of the Checkout is sometimes the one that most users drop from. I would not make any changes till you figure out the problem. Try setting up analytic event on every button in the checkout process and see where people are dropping off.
Also you may want to make your header smaller up top so that people don't need to scroll in the checkout process.
one of the main problems is the cart system in most ecommerce sites have you used clicktail to watch visitor flow?
Also check where your traffic is coming from "are they coming through a good keyword on google"
Most of the time it's a/b testing to increase conversion rate
I have so far put it in the main content & in the header both seem to work fine
yeah i prob should have read the title......................... Can I ask what industry cause in the lawyer sector There is 100+ article/blog sites 100+ LOCAL directory sites 100+ Other Related Sites
a good place to get some backlinks is patch they use sub domains for each town so every area you market to you get a listing (and i think there blogs have follow links)
search "asbestos attorney" A very competitive term that I have not yet tried to target (over $100per click in adwords)
The First 3 are big sites (aka:sokolove) than it goes to domain targeted sites. Sokolove Targets some 300 or more keywords and his domain alone helps outrank most of his comp
as well a not so comp keyword "pradaxa lawyer" that we just started targeting by just creating a page without much seo gets #5 rank
I can see creating a domain for 1 keyword in an area a seoing it crazy and getting it in the top 3 but doing that 100 times seems like years of work... if you could get it to rank in a month
why wouldn't you be using internal pages as well only have to build 1 page authority unless you have 100 people that can each work with an individual domain and get it authoritative
I just google search the term I want to rank for than see who comes up than through them into places like ose and see what they are doing & if I can beat them
I change my titles all the time on my homepage about 1 time a month testing to se if the result is better or worse
You can always change it back its not going to drop you that far
I think its worth mentioning that the side module merges with the content to much try making it blue.
Phone number + login + google plus needs to be reworked i would make that phone number big
And if you want people to actually read the content get rid of mist the links if you want people to talk to a local attorney try a better call to action
Also is the traffic local, national or international cause we get local traffic for legal stuff bouncing at about 40%
I would take each suggestion and do just 1 at a time & see if it helps
We use 1 account / email for 14 different locations if the business name is different they will both come up in a search if the names are the same it will only choose the one closest or most optimized
lolz thats about 1/2 of what i do at work but to be honest a team effort really helps one person can do that because is mainly managing services. '
But if you want to be the best in both adwords & SEO you should have 2 people working together
We just went from just me to now 5 part time people + me
If I am not mistaken it really depends on what users are searching
if they are only searching lawyers names than just find a structure that looks pretty and has the lawyer name in it.
But if there is any traffic data that points that people search the city or phone number along with the lawyer name than it might be wise to have that in the url structure
also ever thought of using subdomains? havent seen that in a lawyer directory yet but some of the major article sites switched to subdomains
Just as a quick answer I know the domain relativity counts more on bing so if you have your keywords in your url you will come up higher on bing than google.
Activity is important but google does not use GA to determine the activity more than likely your CTR off of google and social activity.
I think compete is just a best guess....
its really cheap to use a cdn like amazon rather than do it yourself
there are other things google looks at in a photo beside the name im sure they have an originality check as well as they check the text around the image to see what the image is about but If you want to for sure get the image indexed make it original and rename it alt tag it and put some text about the image beside it
Google does index image maps I have been thinking of converting mine to a more interactive map with javascript but google analytics if setup right can give you some info on image maps
We use the address in the alt text & it gets indexed by google as a normal internal links to the page
I don't think the theory matches what google is trying to accomplish with many businesses the best thing customer can do for themselves is fill out a form & get what they need I think its almost like saying google would penalize you for putting your phone number up top.....
Though I would say the main reason why you have a bad bounce rate is the source of the traffic if they were coming through a targeted keyword from google you would have a better bounce rate. So you have to put something at the top to get a visitors interest. but if your traffic is anyone like me (don't drink) they just bounce because of the topic.
i Have 15 locations I have basically done the same thing on all of them but only a few show reviews from other sites.
I would make sure all info is exactly the same phone, name, address, etc...
I would also try to get more google reviews if google sees reviews are relevant to your type of business they may go look for some on the web.
I have noticed the more work I do on my google places the more they tend to try different stuff with my places
Eli
It's too bad you just don't do the seo yourself. There is a very easy way to get traffic and high rankings for cell phone related stuff
Eli
Whats the point of getting backlinks that google can't find. Look for quality backlinks that show up on google webmaster tools
ummmmm... I think you should be using your main site for the seo and redirect if user is on a mobile. At least that's what I did.
If its a static website I would create static mobile site to redirect through if its a cms like joomla get a good mobile template
I tried a few converters they all sucked
