I working on a new project that collect news items from websites like Bloomberg and CNN, I'm take the title and the full content of specific articles and publish them under my domain. At the same time my writers publish unique articles on the site.

Sure, I'm adding "Source" for each duplicate article with the link to the source.

POST TITLE BLA BLU | My Brand
The "post title bla blu" is the H1 and title of the article and | My Brand is my brand...
I can keep it as is with the My brand? or remove it?

what about posts with long title for example "POST TITLE BLA BLU POST TITLE BLA BLU | My Brand"
What is you suggestion, I know Google doesn't show all the text and we'll see "...". it's still important to write the brand name in the title or just the post title? (without the brand).

If I'll change the meta-title and ill keep the title of the post as is, for example:
Meta-title (yoast) - TEXT for Search engines | My Brand name
Post tilte - for users - TExT For Users and BlaBla

Because my post title too long and I know that Google show only the 60 characters. so it will show like this:

If I understand you correct, you meant to keep it as is? 404 -> homepage?why? why you changed your decision?

I have a website with +3000 visitors per day, I don't know how many 404s I have in my old website because all of them redirect to my Homepage, I have no any idea how many.

Don't forget: I have a news websites with 20,000 pages (live). it's okay to keep the redirects as is? )(to homepage?)
all the 404s came from forums/comments from third party websites.

1. Keep it as is. old articles -> 301 -> same article different URL
2. Remove all the duplicate content and create 301 from the old URL to my homepage.
3. Keep it as is, but add in the meta-tags NoIndex in duplicate articles.
