Nigel is right, though I did not get if there any website. If yes you need to set redirects, if no - just keep .org for your needs.

RE: Rankings dropped 71% in Google and 65% on Mobile
I guess the reason of this can be the latest algo update, I read that many forum users had detected fluctuations in their ranking this week. Some are happy with the results and some are not. I'd wait for 5-7 days and see the outcome. My websites are stable so far.

RE: The most efficient anchor text distribution technique
I'm of another point of view. If done wisely link building brings good. I've been using this pattern for a long time and it worked very well. None of my websites were penalized. That's why I'm convinced that such a distribution does not hurt rankings but I was wondering may be someone is using another scheme that performs better.

The most efficient anchor text distribution technique
I have many client websites and of course my goal is to do my best in the results I show. Share how you distribute anchor text which work the best.
Such a scheme works the best for me naked/ branded/ generic
Would you add any other strategy?

There can not be a definite answer as all tools have their own algos

RE: Is it still true that 3xx redirects don't cause you to lose any ranking?
Redirects do not affect ranking, only in case when they are used in a wrong way. 301 is more preferable.

RE: Buy domain, redirect, get all the good links (+link juice) and disavow the spammy ones?
If you're OK with domain age, niche etc. you can disavow bad links.
Or you can try to remove them manually. Contact website owners to request them.

RE: On page vs Off page vs Technical SEO: Priority, easy to handle, easy to measure.
on-page,
technical,
off-page
On-page is basics and should be done first. You can see its effect just in a few months or weeks sometimes. When it is done properly, websites start ranking (of course with low competition keywords, but still it is the you're doing it right).
What is great here is that you can improve on-page SEO occasionally and detect what brings the best ranking results.
Technical issues are important too as indexing, mobile friendliness affect SERP in a positive way and actually they are important ranking factors.
Off page SEO is being discussed much though backlinks still work. There are good services for backlinks purchase just choose the best one matching your needs.
Hope that helped a bit. Good luck!

RE: Pages are Indexed but not Cached by Google. Why?
This is a weird situation, though in my opinion the damage is minimal as the main thing is that the page is seen by search engines.

RE: How to fix duplicate content for homepage and index.html
"I currently have a 301 setup for my http to https page" - great! Also, you should check if your inner pages redirecting from HTTP-versions to HTTPS too.
index.html should redirect to the homepage main version with 301 Permanent Redirect.

RE: Increase of non-relevant back-links drop page ranking?
First thing to remember is not to place a backlink on a page that already has more than 10 backlinks because you will have a lack of link juice to your site.
Second thing - Joseph is right and you will not be penalized for it. You just will get too low impact from this link.
