Hi yacpro13! Did Eric or Thomas answer your question, and if so, would you mind marking one or both responses as a "Good Answer?"
Otherwise, what questions do you still have?
Hi Eric! Our Rank Tracker can certainly show you your rankings vs. competitors. However, we don't gather that data if you're not tracking it, so if your client wants to know how they used to rank against competitors before the campaign was created, you're out of luck.
Jordan mentions SEMRush, and I believe they may have a tool that can help.
Hi Krishna! It's a bit on the older side, but Cyrus Shepard wrote a piece a while back called Keywords to Concepts that might help you get your head around this.
Personally, I'd say to make 100% sure all your 301 redirects are placed properly, and that each old URL is redirected to the absolute best new URL to get the user what they're looking for.
Hi blackbowchauffeur!
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Are you looking for suggestions to boost your PA and DA, because your site isn't ranking? If that's the case, you'll need to build more high-quality backlinks to your site. I'd recommend starting with our Beginner's Guide to Link Building. Otherwise, you may be best served reaching out to a paid consultant.
Hi Krishna! We'd love an update—did Dmitrii's or Patrick's response(s) help? And if so, would you mind marking one or both responses as a "good answer?"
Thanks!
I'm gonna have to second EGOL on this. Sounds like you've got a pretty sweet thing going.
Hi Ioannis!
How's this going? We'd love an update.
Hi Jarred! We'd love an update on this. Did Eric's response help?
Hi friends! To be as clear as possible, this functionality is now available in Moz Pro. You can learn about it here.
Hi cckapow!
Any update on this? Did you ever get to checking the AdWords traffic, as Robert suggested?
Hi WWW SEO! How is this going? We'd love an update.
Hi Teamzig! Did Chris's response help? We'd love an update.
Hi there!
Thanks for posting in Q&A. It looks like you've gotten some solid tips!
That said, we really try to discourage posts that can be construed as job listings on this forum. If you're looking to post still, the Inbound.org job board is a great place.
I'm going to lock this thread to further responses. Thanks for understanding, and good luck on the search!
Hi Caro!
We'd love an update on this. Have any of the responses helped? And if so, would you mind marking one or more as a "Good Answer?"
Thanks!
Hi Danny! How'd that crawl end up? If Andy answered your question, mind marking his response as a "Good Answer?" It'll get him some bonus MozPoints, and it helps us keep track of things in the forum.
Hi TrueluxGroup! Did this get resolved? We'd love an update.
Agreed. Out of curiosity, Eric, what's your opinion of then placing "noindex, follow" on the tag-or-category pages? I've seen cases in which the pages themselves are close enough to look like duplicate content.
Hi EliteVenu! I'm so glad Ryan pointed you in the right direction. If that turns out to fix the problem, mind marking one or both of his responses as a "Good Answer?"
I agree with Eric, and I also think this may be a good use for UTM tracking URLs. You could easily set them up using, say, the video titles as your utm_content. You could then shorten the URLs with the UTM parameters. Google has a great URL builder tool here.
Hi Jay! Did Eric or Jordan (or both!) answer your question, and if so, would you mind marking one or both responses as a "Good Answer?" It'll give a few extra, appreciative MozPoints, and it helps us keep track of things on this end.
Otherwise, how can we help?
Hi there!
The Crawl Test tool is limited to 3000 URLs, but your actual campaign(s) crawl far more than that. With a Moz Pro Standard subscription, up to 250,000 pages (total, across your up-to-five campaigns) are automatically crawled weekly.

Hi Michael!
It looked like you also asked this question on 3/29, and that there are some responses there. To keep everything together, I'm going to lock this thread to further responses. Friends, please provide your responses in this thread:
https://moz.com/community/q/what-is-optimal-site-for-large-website
In the future, please refrain from asking the same question more than once.
I'd like to add that there's a lovely Moz Academy video that covers this sort of competitive link analysis.
Hi localwork!
If Ryan answered your question, would you mind marking his response as a "Good Answer?" It'll get him some bonus MozPoints, and it helps us keep track of things.
Hi friends,
Because of the discussion already happening in the newer thread, I'm going to lock this one to future responses. Please continue the discussion here:

Hi Spel! Any luck taking care of this? We'd love an update.
Hi Paul! Did John's response answer your question? If so, please mark it as a "Good Answer." It'll give him a few bonus MozPoints, and it helps us keep track of things.
Hi there! Out of curiosity, when you say that pages are being marked as spam, do you mean they're being given a spam score? And what is that score?
Hi there! Generally, no, you shouldn't have to create a new campaign, though that would definitely ensure that everything works properly. David's response here covers it: https://moz.com/community/q/http-to-https-2#reply_323889
Hi Sandeep! If Russ answered your question, mind marking his response as a "Good Answer?" It helps us keep track of things, and it'll give him a few extra MozPoints (less important since he works here, but still).
Sure! It's almost like it's my job. In general, your timeline is accurate. Campaigns—including crawl report, keyword rankings, etc.—update weekly.
Hi Endre!
For 1, have you tried your search in an incognito window? Is it possible that you're seeing personalized results? And how new is the page?
For 2, have you run any sort of competitive audit? It's entirely possible that your particular competitors are just particularly tough on that term.
Hi Anoop! I agree with VERBInteractive—this is one of those questions that requires us to be able to see the site and the pages that aren't being indexed.
Oh, and just to say: Congrats on your content getting picked up. That's pretty rad.
Hi Marcus!
What I'm getting from your question in that a high-authority site has a roughly two-week-old page featuring a piece of content of yours. Is that correct?
Generally, a PA or DA of 1 simply means that we don't yet have information on that URL. As I explained in my response to John, we gather that information through our crawl of the web as documented in our Mozscape index. That crawl takes ~1 month.
PA and DA are based on pretty much the same factors, and those factors are almost entirely based on the strength of the backlink profile. According to the Open Site Explorer home page, the last index was released March 2, and the next index is expected to be released March 30. That makes March 30 the earliest you can expect to see information about that page. It's quite possible that you still won't see it until the following update.
PA and DA are both based on pretty much the same factors, and those factors are based almost entirely on the strength of the backlink profile. The difference is that DA is based on the backlink profile for the entire domain, while PA is based on the backlink profile for just that page. PA can be raised by building links to the page. If it doesn't gain links, PA won't improve (though I'd expect it to me higher than 1 once it's been crawled and indexed).
Now, lastly, you ask about your boost in the SERPs. I assume you mean you're expecting a bump for your site, since the high-authority site links to you through the content it's picked up, yes? In that case, you may see some benefit on the SERPs well before the change is reflected in PA (Google crawls a lot faster than we do). The amount of a boost you get will depend on a lot, including your competitors' link profiles and whether the content that got picked up also appears on your site (if it does, I hope the high-authority site is pointing to the original content on your site with rel=canonical, or you could find yourself competing with them).
I really hope that makes sense. Let me know if you need more clarification, or if I'm just totally misunderstanding your question!
I just want to add a point of clarification to #1 there:
It could actually be several months before PA and DA update to reflect changes. This is because PA and DA are link metrics based on our Mozscape index (the index that also powers Open Site Explorer). Index update times vary, but it's fair to say they take an average of 4 weeks or so to compile. So, link metrics update approximately once per month.
But!
Say your site acquires a new backlink, which may have an affect on its authority metrics. If Mozscape is still in the process of crawling and indexing the web and hasn't yet crawled your site, then provided your site gets does get crawled you'll see the changes in the next index release.
If, however, Mozscape is still in the process of crawling and indexing the web and has already crawled your site, you won't see any update for 2 or more index cycles. This is because your site has already been crawled in that cycle and won't be recrawled until the index is released and we start on a new one.
You can see the date of the last release and the expected date of the next on the Open Site Explorer homepage, or here.
Does that make sense?
Hi Veebs! Did Laura answer your question? If so, please mark one or both of her responses as a "Good Answer." Otherwise, we'd love to get an update on this! Have you learned anything more?
Hi Stephen!
Thank you for posting in Q&A! It looks like this question is very similar to this one you posted yesterday:
https://moz.com/community/q/ranking-opportunity-if-we-omit-county-in-citations
I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread to responses to keep the answers consolidated in that thread. Email me at mattr(at)moz(dot)com if you have any questions.
And we worked it out! In case anyone else has a similar question:
When you pair a keyword to a page in the Page Grader tool—such as the page /laptop-bag/leather-shoulder/ paired with the keyword "leather shoulder laptop bag"—the tool will scan the page for exact instances of the phrase. So, even though the words "laptop," "bag," "leather," and "shoulder" are in the URL, the tool doesn't recognize the phrase "leather shoulder laptop bag," and so suggests adding it to the URL. If the URL is /laptop-bags/leather-shoulder-laptop-bags/, though, the tool _does _see the exact term, so it bumps up the score and removes the suggestion.
In this case, though, Deacyde is totally right—/laptop-bags/leather-shoulder-laptop-bags/ is, well, kind of terrible. The thing to keep in mind is that a score of 100 in the tool means that the keyword for which it's evaluating the page is in _absolutely every _keyword optimization position. That doesn't always make sense, especially for a longer-tail term like "leather shoulder laptop bag."
So in this instance, 95 is better than 99.
Actually, I'll PM you. It's hard to say what I'm actually trying to ask without giving away your keywords (I can see 'em 'cause I'm an admin).
Hi Anirban! I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here. Can you clarify at all?
Hi Deacyde! I just want to make sure—is "laptop bags" the keyword you're optimizing for in the tool? Because unless I'm mistaken, it sounds as if the tool is trying to optimize for "leather shoulder laptop bags."
Completely agree. I'd recommend writing blog posts that will be useful to your visitors, and _if _a link to a product or service page is justified organically, then go ahead. But I really wouldn't recommend shoehorning a link to a landing page into every blog post.
Out of curiosity, would users need to be logged in to be redirected? Or would it be entirely based on the cookie?
