i have set up a site in wordpress and used a plug in to create a holding page.it has created the same meta data but with the open graph tags - have an og:: prefix.
is this ok?
hi
i am setting up a new site but have bought two domains to cover those who may type the wrong version. So i have:
i am just setting up both on my wordpress host with a coming soon page (to include social links and sign up form). but had a few questions:
as the main site is .co.uk should i just set up a redirect from the .com to the .co.uk
as the root folders on the two will be the same (regionwithchildren) i need to change one as host cant have two identical - what should i change the .com one to?
any other considerations for this kind of set up would be much appreciated?
thanks
neil
i have the domain "region"familyholidays.co.uk for an upcoming site.
i was pleased as its memorable and tells the user what its about. i am targetting keywords such as:
region family holidays
region family hotels
region famliy cottages
region family campsites
is it something i should avoid because of potential penalties. i will be adding plenty of good content and doing all the offsite things but dont want to start with a handicap with an emd?
thanks

thanks guys and yep this it the template i am looking at for my own site - just trying to ensure it can do everything i need seo wise - i was told that as content was dynamic rather than static it wouldnt index as well?
hi
i have been looking at this template but as the content will be generated from their database will it index well - am i better to build a static equivalent using something like visual composer as i am not that technical:
ah ok thanks - i am not that technical so would my best bet to be choose the best theme and then use the ravan plug in and add schema where i can (though accept that it might not cover all options)? guess some schema is better than none?
I'm putting together a holiday listing sits and as seo is key would like to add schema data. Does anyone know of any themes that are easier to do this with for a non techie - have looked at plug ins but they get a mixed review
Thanks
Neil
From an seo perspective the domain is regionfanilyholidays.co.UK so thought category page would be /hotel/ etc
Wow thanks don - I wasn't sure how much content it was appropriate to put on this site so had kept quite generic. But to get stuck in.
It's a family holiday site listing different types (hotels, cottages, campsites, holiday parks, caravan parks) of property - Max 12 in each category and we will be personally reviewing them all. Companies pay to list so seo is key.
I am aiming to finish listings in 12-18 months so have time. The other issue I have with static though is I don't know how I can then add any further filtering /sorting to the 12 listings - though with good bulleted descriptions/icons may not benecessary.
Does that help?-
Hi, I'm developing an accommodation site with a limited number of properties in 8 categories. I had been looking at making the properties blog posts and then using category function to show lists but its going to require a lot of customisation and I have seo concerns about the dynamic content as the category page is crucial.
As I don't have a lot to add and listings will remain the same my latest thought was to create all as pages. However if I create a page with a list of 12 properties on a category page is there anyway of adding some sorting criteria to that page (would be 7 options - swimming pool, near beach, on site creche, budget, mid-range, luxury)
Thanks for any tips
Neil
perfect thanks andy - thats what i thought so wont rely on it
