I don´t think its a problem, different would be to have a such links in the footer / sidebar, but just in one url should be OK.
Anyway, nofollow them just in case
it can be that both pages are semantically similar and the robot is not sure which one from both should it rank
You could try to create an internal link in secondary category "url" to the url you want to rank, using the keyword as anchor. It may helps
First think i would do is to check the url with Screaming Frog SEO Spider, anyway a link would be really helpful
I think your are doing right!
It´s their site and they can decide whether to nofollow their links or not. You also can ask 4 a dofollow link of course, but i think such a big site have for sure automated processes and probably many e-mails per day, so I think it be difficult that they pay attention on such things, but who knows..
Anyway most important is that this is a clear signal that you did an awesome job and as you say, nofollow links are also important
If you do a good job, you will not lose any ranking.
You should:
Check that all the meta tags / canonicals / titles reminds as before
Be sure that the url structure reminds exactly as before
I would recommend you not go process the modification directly in production. Use a dummy server for it and check with Screaming FROG that everything is ok. And then, when you are sure everything looks ok, go to production
Just check in the html code if the meta description exists.
Tip in the brower -> view-source:[YOUR_URL]
And try to find smt like
So you will be able to determinate if you have a meta description or NOT
The main difference between them is that long tails refers something very specific and the short tail something more general.
For example:
Car -> Short tail
Where to buy a cheap car in london -> Long tail
If you are starting with a new project, focus your effort in long tails, they do not have much traffic volume but they are easier to rank and they definetly convert better.
Also if you rank many tails you also can get a looooooooot of traffic I´m focusing one niche on long tails and it´s going quite well
That´s not good, you should distribute your backlinks in different urls and not always the home. I would recommend you to start to do it
I did that, ScrapeBox is awesome tool, but for automatically generate links there are better options in my opinion
To generate massive links automatically you can try GSA Search Engine Ranker
I would never send massive links to the Tier1 and would protect my MS with at least two TIERs, that means send the massive links to the Tier 2 ( or even Tier 3 ).
The answer is easy, just do it when you think such link will provide profitable information to the users
You have the normal meta tags, probably included by your or the wordpress theme and then, you also have og metatags automatically generated by Wordpress SEO Yoast pluggin. The og metatags are used on social networks like facebook.
I would not worry, it looks ok
More information about og metatags here -> http://ogp.me/

Links are nofollow and are brand-name-based.
In my opinion a link that generate referral traffic is always good link, also in the eyes of Google
I would not worry about it
One tip that is really working 4 me
1. Localize the top domains from the keywords you want to rank.
2. Check their link profile with a software like "Open Site Explorer".
3. Localize the repicable links, and replicate them
Do not generate all links on the same day/week/month. Link building needs to be progressively done. It´s an ant work
The article from Alick300 is nice
I would really recommend you to focus your first efforts in long tails with not so much serp competences to start to generate the first traffic, that´s very important point in my opinon
Well, ideal case is variety of anchors, but you are speaking about internal links so i dont think it´s a big problem.
Problematic would be if those links with same achors would be external links
You can see it on this link -> http://moz.com/products/api/updates
Next one is next week ( hopefully! )
I would not disavow, it sounds that you links are totally ok, but if you are not sure, try to use "nofollow" and you should be ok
Br
You could check on your WMT account if your domain has been affected with a manuall action, but doesn´t look like, actually, looking into my seo tools, I can see that your domain start to rank well after a penguin atack ( October 2013, right? ).
Anyway you really should take care of the SEO of your website, as Richard told you, your link profile is not totally clean, you have lot of links / less domains and i guess that´s coming from footer/sidebar links, which are in many cases not really good for your domain.
You also should take care a little about your seo on page, you have a lot of urls with duplicate title & description tag, i really would recommend you to download Screaming Frog SEO Spider to check it.
Hope this helps
Well, i would do it! So you will sure that google will not index this useless links
Hello,
i took a look on the http responses in my browser from that pictures and they are definetly ok
If you are using some cache system, try to clean it, it may could be that you modified them recently and Screaming Frog is getting a cached version

One thing I would recommend you is to write comments in the top blogs from your niche, most of thoses blogs allow you to link your website in your name.
The comments need to be good, so that the people that read the comment will join your website to know a little more about you
I´m doing this in my personal blog and im getting 600-800 users per month and those visitors are really interested on my niche, proof of it is the low bounce rate they have
Hope this helps
P.D: Despite you get a link, it doesn´t have to do anything with link building ( link will be nofollow most of the times ), it´s just a practice to gain visibility which is actually working
Hello Ted,
sorry, my mistake, i meant GWT -> Google Webmaster Tools
Br
//Oliver
This is for sure a follow link so they are followed by the search engine
But the follow link is not to your website, rather redirects, so i´m not sure how much link juice is your site getting.
I would try it and check in GWT if google detect it is as a link from linkedin
I will not remove backlinks just because they have a low DA value. Variety on your link profile is very important
And about your question, difficult to say since it will always depends in which niche you want to rank, for example, if you want to rank in domains/flights niche, you will need a huge authority ( almost impossible ).
That´s why it´s important to analize the competence of a niche very good before starting with a project
Hope this helps
Br
You don´t need any proversion to check your PA/DA, you can do it with the browser extension Mozbar
Just look in google "Mozbar extension" and you will find it
The MOZ DA value is updated each 2/3 months
Wait till the next Index Update, next one is 11 of March,
I will not focus on increase the Domain Authority from Moz, but for the search engine
You can earn that writting good content that fulfil the user demands & get good qualified links from websites with good authority
Doind that, you will also increase the Domaint Authority from Moz
I can do that, send me a private with the domain/email
Hello
As Laura said, you can can use the robots meta tag, but it will take a while till google remove your site from the results.
In case you want to remove in a short time, use Google Webmaster Tools ( Google index => Remove URL ).
If you use 2nd option, is also recommended to use the first one to prevent google indexing your url again
Br
In my opinion this is a very obvious case of negative SEO against your client domain
More information about Negative SEO here: http://moz.com/blog/preparing-for-negative-seo
I would really NOT wait to see if this links affects the rankings and do disavow as soon as possible. Why? Because it´s possible that the domain is still not penalized because "Penguin" has not checked your client domain yet, but once the domain get caught, domain reputation will be ruined.
Good luck
No, i meant other domains linking your site.
About outlinks, try to link domains that are "healthy" and use "nofollow" attribute if you are not sure
Hello,
the true is that google is against link building strategies, they follow it and penalize your website is they find out that you generated links in an "articial" way.
But it´s a fact that link building still works, very good to be honest
But before you start any link building strategy i would recommend you to read a lot about it, because if you don´t do it properly you are going to be for sure penalized.
Some link building tips i wrote somewhere last week, they may help you
- Anchors: Do not use the exacly keyword you want to rank as anchor, instead use long sentences including your kw.
- Variety: Do not get just "keyword" links, links with url, branch are also important.
- Nofollow: It´s very important to include nofollow links in your link profile.
- **Footer/sidebar: **Avoid links from footer/sidebar, specially if they are nofollow.
- **Variety of domains: **Get your links from different domains.
- Avoid links fromk penalized websites: It´s also very important to analyze the domains your site is going to be linked are healthy enough.
Good luck
If you are starting i would recommend you to focus on long tails, generic terms are generally harder to rank.
Btw, another good tool for finding long tails: http://keywordshitter.com/, found it out last week, it´s really interesting ( in combination with Google keyword planner ):-)
Hello,
if you modifed the html code recently, could be that its taking a cached version?
Anyway don´t worry, most important thing is that the html headings structure of your landing is ok, and it is
Btw, mozbar detects your H1 element

From 100 links, 40 pointing categories looks ok for me.
Google is against link building practices and follows such practice ( PENGUIN ), so if you want to do link building and not get caught, you need to build a very natural link profile:
- Anchors: Do not use the exacly keyword you want to rank as anchor, instead use long sentences including your kw.
- Variety: Do not get just "keyword" links, links with url, branch are also important.
- Nofollow: It´s very important to include nofollow links in your link profile.
- **Footer/sidebar: **Avoid links from footer/sidebar, specially if they are nofollow.
- **Variety of domains: **Get your links from different domains.
- Avoid links fromk penalized websites: It´s also very important to analyze the domains your site is going to be linked are healthy enough.

if you have a high html/content rate, the google robot will need less time to crawl your site content.
In my opinion is an important SEO on page factor that´s why i´m always trying to:
avoid javascript inlines
have a clean & simple HTML code
optimize the code deleting unnecesary characters like spaces.
Last december, I changed my wordpress theme to one with a better/clean code, after 4/5 weeks I improve considerably my rankings, coincidence? I don´t think so

I worked some .info domains ( some microniches ) in the past and they ranked ok! But i read very often that they dont rank so well as .com
Hello!!
I took a look into your website, your seo on page looks ok, no duplicated content and your link profile is quite good
The only problem i found is some broken links:
http://lonestarperio.com/periodontal-treatments/treatments/osseous-surgery/
http://lonestarperio.com/technology/lonestarperio.com
http://lonestarperio.com/periodontal-treatments/treatments/gum-grafts/
http://lonestarperio.com/periodontal-treatments/treatments/crown-lengthening/
http://lonestarperio.com/periodontal-treatments/treatments/dental-implants/
http://lonestarperio.com/periodontal-treatments/treatments/gum-disease-treatments/
Please fix them, google hate 404 errors, they are a big link juice hole

Well i´m not sure that such "likes" wil impactive your website in your positive way! But in a negative way? I don´t think so, but who knows
Hello guys!
i´m wondering what is your opinion about EMD, they still working like they did in the past??
Thanks in advance
Br
For sure is to high.. don´t worry to much about keyword density! Most important is that your visitors find what they are looking for in your post.
I´m working in a niche and some of my articles are ranked in 1st position just containing the kw in the url/title/h1.
The keyword stuffing era is over, so be careful with Panda
