Your canonical is correct, (this is your root domain), also is a good practice, all the links from deeper pages pointing to your home page should be pointed to http://www.example.com/.

Additionally is a good practice to use the 301 redirect (avoid duplicates on the home page):
http://example.com/ redirect to http://www.example.com/
http://example.com/index.php redirect to http://www.example.com/
http://www.example.com/index.php redirect to http://www.example.com/

Furthermore, we haven't gotten any email from Yahoo Team; something is wrong with our submission or need to contact to?

To be honest with you, several month ago I was talking with google adsense Team about one accoutn suspension and they allegues "you trus is bad on WOT"

Think on this, also WOT is included in google chrome as plug in ....

The key is keep the important pages as upper as possible from home, in some cases several categories turn into a problem, one of my sites a shareware repository has 154 categories and today I think this was an error, with half categories the site should be running better

I agree 100% with you, this is our first DMCA and it applies only on one particular product page.

Yes our traffic was down in 10% and no other pages with this issue, our site is a Shareware directory, we include products from authors.

What is your opinion ? what is your recommendation as next step?

Today I get from Google Webmaster tools a "Notice of DMCA removal" I'll paste here the note to get your opinions

So I perform these steps:

1. Remove the page from the site (now it gives 404).

2. Remove it from database (no listed on directory, sitemap.xml and RSS)

3. I fill the "Google Content Removed Notification form" detailing the removal of the page.

My question is now I have to do any other task, such as fill a site reconsideration, or only I have to wait.

I found this history google update doc http://www.seomoz.org/google-algorithm-change

and Penguin starts on Apr 24 and Apr 27 another Panda.

In conclusion (I want to share my point of view coming from your knowledge):

1. Penguin hits our site because, we has a few high quality links and some of them was hitted by Penguin. Possible solution get more links (natural etc).

2. Panda, some of our pages specially categories and sub categories were including repetitive content and canonical problems between them (this issue was partially resolved). I'll continue resolving this.

Finally please give me your opinions about this.

Dear EGOL,

No warnings from google, only traffic drops -50% (actually our Home page ranks well) but the internal pages not.

I extract from SEOMoz the links and I start sending them emails asking for link removal and no one has responded, and some of them don't have contact form or email details, I'll try contact them via Whois records.

Do you recommends perform this HUGE and slave task with minimal results or only forget and go ahead.

Our traffic drops on Apr and May at 50%, and some pages (not home) was performing well (google 3 first positions) and now they are on the 2 or 3rd page.

Dear Mosers,

Before Penguin update we start a link back profile study about who and why are linking and we found hundred of garbage sites like these:

http://rakeback-blogger.com/links/

http://personalinjuryattorney-fl.org/get-a-fl-personal-injury-attorney-instead-of-crying-over-spilt-milk

and hundred more...

They don't have contact form or email address, so what is the best way to remove our link from there (there are any quick way), these sites are damaging our rank.

1. Panda = "Pour quality content" usually duplicate content with other sites or pages with small amount of content.

2. Penguin= "Unnatural Links "

If you suspect about 1 and 2 try to work hard to resolve these issues first.

... And later check other things, I have some sites with very pour html and great content and natural links and they are ranking great.

Remember the Google recommendation "useful content for visitors= more external links (votes)" which means high quality site.

Dear all,

I was removing tons of old pages from my directory (about 400 pages), I was setingup a 404 custom page, all is fine, so when I go to an existing page I get a 404 and redirected to my 404 page.

The problem is Google Webmaster tools list all these pages as 404, and never clean my list (1 year til now), so I assume something is wrong.

Question what is the best way or natural to remove old pages from one directory?

Note: previously I tryed add on these pages the NOINDEX/NOFOLLOW meta tag and I got from google Soft-404.

Yes, 100% agree Irving comment about the IP's (same network), also google looks the domain registration owner to determine if both sites comming from the same person or company.

You're looking as a link schema from google point of view, you should remove all links between A and B, google nows both sites (domains) are owned by the same person.

The site to be improved after Google Penguin is freesharewaredepot.com actually it has SEOMOz domain authority only 56 and I know it is very low compared with other similar directories.

We need to get quality links from reputable directories, so I was thinking paid for inclusion in yahoo and other reputable directories and for us $300 by/Yr is not expensive at this time.

So I should paid for inclusion and it can help to extend our link profile and SERP ?

1. use the attribute on the current sitemap withing the prop or build a separate sitemap for images.

To be honest Im not sure what is the best way and Im worry about sitemap related issues

Dear Collin,

I agree 100% with my mates, but I want to add some of my experience, for years I was doing this :

1. the exactly content of your title tag (I assume you're using your most important keywords) should be in the H! tag and this H1 tag should be as close to tag as is possible (prominence) you can use only one H1 tag on the page.

2. The use the H2 tag is optional and you can use it two or more times (no bother), usually I use two H2 tags with keywords related to my H1 (main keyword).

In the past months I was feeling the H2 is not important as in the past, and google now disagree with "over optimization" thats mean "pages with perfect keywords distribution, prominence and density".....

So you should use your primary keyword in the title tag and H1 tag and optionally H2 tags, the key is original and useful content for visitors.

You can do this by browsing on your WEB log files and looking for the string "http://www.google.com/bot.html"

How often your site is crawled by google depends on many factors ie.:

1. How often you add or modify content.

2. How many links are pointing to your site.

3. and more.

In my experience this crawler freq. is a good signal of active and quality site.

In the past I was dealing with the same issue, to solve it I implement these 2 fix :

1. Canonical tag ie.:

rel="canonical" href="http://www.yourdomain.com/your-page.asp">

This tell the Search engines specially google the page is the referred as canonical

http://www.yourdomain.com/your-page.asp?page=1

http://www.yourdomain.com/your-page.asp?page=2

from google perspective these pages are http://www.yourdomain.com/your-page.asp (canonical)

2. On each page I add (dynamically) Page # on both title and description meta tags

<title></span><span>Your page title - Page: 1</span><span></title>

name="description" content="Your page Description meta tag etc etc - Page: 1">

This resolve the problem on both, HTML issues in Google WMT and the rank flow because you're joining all pages into the root page.
