thanks for the reply. I can understand your point but the issue is that there are hundreds of sites for each of hundreds of keywords. It is almost impossible to contact the webmasters and report that their sites are hacked. They also keep on adding new sites

RE: Massive Google Search Spam

Massive Google Search Spam
We have come to know that one of competitors of our client is spamming Google search results on massive scale. If we search with keywords like "iphone spy apps" , "text messages spy " etc then most of results from 3rd or 4th page onwards show totally irrelevant sites but when we click on those results/pages then all redirect to either http://topspysoft.com/ OR http://www.mspy.com/ . They have been doing it on massive scale for last few months against hundreds of queries and populating hundreds of search results. If use some country specific Google site then again hundreds of results come from totally irrelevant country specific domains (au,nz,uk etc) and they all redirect to topspysoft.com or mspy.com.
Can you please tell how they are doing it and how they are able to do it on such a massive scale without getting noticed by Google ? Is there any way to report this issue to Google as the current only allows one link ?
Following are some of the spam urls to give you an idea
www.crcincva.com/doc/20-best-iphone-spy-apps/
chefitupkids.com/top-10-spy-apps-for-iphone/
jarestaurant.com/text-spying-apps-iphone/
www.lisamishler.com/qn/phone-spy-apps-uk
tigerdenus.com/spy-apps-for-iphone-no-jailbreak
palmhousestl.org/templates/phone-location/iphone-spy-apps-uk.htmlI'm also attaching couple of images which show that almost 80% of results on those pages are actually spam pages

RE: How to build links to landing pages?
We have already tried that but what happens is, when an infographic is published on a blog page and embed code points to another internal landing page then people don’t really use that embed code. Most of the links we get from infographics point to our home page because bloggers do alter embed codes and prefer to link to infographic post and home page.
As you know infographic images are generally large and if we try to add infographic to our existing landing page then page size will further increase which won’t be good for the user experience and can also affect page load time.
Can you please give reference of some landing pages which are using infographics so that we can analyze those further ?
Thanks,

How to build links to landing pages?
I have been using link baits like infographics to get quality links to my site and I have observed that these tactics are great to get links to the home page or that particular post page where infographic was originally posted. But we have various other important landing pages and we want to transfer some link equity to those pages.
Whenever we publish an infographic we post it on out blog with an embed code carrying anchor text pointed to our site’s home page. People who share our infographic, normally links to the home page or to the post page where they find that particular item. So, what are the possible ways to get links to any other landing page? Can we post some bait on other landing pages as well. I need to know some more techniques to attract deep links.
Thanks

How much important is the connection between content and backlink relevancy?
My question is about the connection between web page content and backlink relevancy, how much it is important?
Let’s have an example:
If I publish a guest post about “cell phone model review” and get a link back to my website which is on the subject of “cell phone monitoring”.
Now my question is:
Is this a relevant and good quality backlink? As content is about “cell phone Model Review” while the backlink is about “cell phone Monitoring”, How Google would take this as if;
1- Anchor text is “cell phone monitoring”
2- Anchor text is URL based

Can we publish two guest posts on one domain with same pen name but different linking website?
Can we publish two guest posts on one domain with same pen name but different linking website?
Actually I have been doing guest posts with pen name “Jane Andrew” for “abc.com”(bit old and well performing website). Now I need to post for a new website “xyz.com” on some old domains (where I have already published my articles) so the situation is that I want domains and pen name to remain same but linking website would be different. I had few questions in my mind regarding that and I would be grateful if you help me getting the required information. Is it right from SEO, branding and marketing point of view? How Google interprets this? Is there any harm for the old well performing website or for the new one? And also both websites are owned and managed by the same owner.

How to idesntify "inorganic" links
I am intending to remove spammy link of my website http://cellspyexpert.com/ which has been ranking well but I noticed a sudden drop in its ranking. I took a lot of care while building links, I tried to get links from relevant high authority websites with high page rank. I used profiling and guest blogging method only and never participated in any link scheme but received following message in google webmaster tools "
Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links to http://www.cellspyexpert.com/"
I got this message on 19th Sep and ranking dropped on 6th Oct
1- Is this EMD issue?? I am pretty sure it is not because of EMD (Exact match domain) as I have been using phrase match, brand name+phrase and other anchor texts. I used exact match also but only 2%.
2- If it is bad quality, inorganic link issue?? Then I am intending to remove inorganic links so that I could send reconsideration request but facing problem in detecting inorganic links.
Please advise!!

Fetch as GoogleBot "Unreachable Page"
Hi,
We are suddenly having an error "Unreachable Page" when any page of our site is accessed as Googlebot from webmaster tools. There are no DNS errors shown in "Crawl Errors".
We have two web servers named web1 and web2 which are controlled by a software load balancer HAProxy. The same network configuration has been working for over a year now and never had any GoogleBot errors before 21st of this month.
We tried to check if there could be any error in sitemap, .htaccess or robots.txt by excluding the loadbalancer and pointing DNS to web1 and web2 directly and googlebot was able to access the pages properly and there was no error. But when loadbalancer was made active again by pointing the DNS to it, the "unreachable page" started appearing again. This very same configuration has been working properly for over a year till 21st of this month.
Website is properly accessible from browser and there are no DNS errors either as shown by "Crawl Errors". Can you guide me about how to diagnose the issue. I've tried all sorts of combinations, even removed the firewall but no success. Is there any way to get more details about error instead of just "Unreachable Page" error ?
Regards,
shaz

RE: Does this count as Copied Content ?
It is not that copysace always shows 30% match . Normally it is between 8% to 15% but the source is always mentioned with proper details.
Please tell me if it counts as duplicated content from Search Engine point of view or not. Are Google Algorithms intelligent enough to understand that copied content is used only for reference and not to steal anyone's work ? Can google understand the intent of copied content if source of original content is also mentioned ?
Thanks,

Does this count as Copied Content ?
Hi,
we are publishing news on our website blog. In the news we use excerpts from other websites but do mention the source like "according to XYZ news source" etc.
Does it count as copied content as sometime copyscape shows alsmot 30% duplicated content due to inclusion of references from different sources in our news stories ?

Directory submission after Google panda update
I am very much concerned about directory submission after Google panda update. I have few questions in this regard
1- Should I submit the home page URL or deep links in directories? What is better practice?
2- Can I submit more than one link in one directory? What are the consequences of submitting both (home page and deep link) in same directory?
3- Should I start directory submission aggressively or I need to take care about the quantity?

Looks like your connection to Moz was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
