Google My Business - duplicate and previous owner uncooperative
Hi there,
One of my SEO clients, a summer camp, is having a problem with their GMB listing.
They have two listings: the one they set up, with the correct address and other business info, and the one the previous camp owners set up, with an incorrect NAP. When we try to edit the duplicate listing, we're unable to verify that we own it because it's connected to the previous owner's phone number. They've passed away and their sons are now the contact, but they're not interested in helping out.
Any suggestions on how to close the duplicate listing without being able to verify that it's your own business?
Thanks,
Susannah

RE: Google My Business - two locations but same name and phone
Thank you so much, Miriam! This is hugely helpful.
I'll check with my client to see if they do have a separate phone number for the two locations. It's possible they do and I just don't realize it. If they don't, do you have any suggestions for what we can do?

Google My Business - two locations but same name and phone
Hello,
I manage SEO for an orthopaedic practice and I'm wondering what to do about their GMB listings. They have two locations, but I'm starting to think we shouldn't have separate GMB pages for the two locations because of the advice about other GMB questions I've been reading on this forum.
I read a helpful response that said you must ensure the following if you want to create separate GMB listings:
- Unique name
- Unique address (even if only a suite / office number)
- Unique phone number
- Clearly different categories on Google My Business
I can only ensure one of those - unique address. The business has the same name, phone number, and categories at both addresses.
What should I do about this? I would think it's important to list both addresses so that patients can be guided to the appropriate location, but is there a way to do that with just one GMB listing?
Thank you,
Susannah

RE: How much should I pay for one hour of content creation work?
I'm a content creator/copywriter. When people ask me about writing some pages for their site, I quote anywhere from $50 to $75 per hour, or I give a flat fee that's based on that rate. A blog post might be $150 to $200, and a "money" page might be $250. I've been doing this for about six years.
I know some copywriters go up to $100/hour, which I would do if the piece involved reporting and/or a lot of research. But for a blog post or a smallish site, I wouldn't charge that much.
I hope this helps!

403 errors in Moz but not in Google Search Console
Hello,
Moz is showing that one of the sites I manage has about ten 403 errors on main pages, including the home page. But when I go to Google Search Console, I'm not getting any 403 errors. I don't know too much about this site (I handle the SEO for a few sites as a contractor for a digital marketing agency), but I can see that it's a WordPress site (I'm not sure if that's relevant).
Can I assume this a Moz issue only?
Thanks,
Susannah Noel
