Do you have negative keywords on keywords you don't want to show.  Negative keywords play a big role in what keywords the ad should show up for.

I just have to say it even though it may not be the reason, does your subpage have more keywords and content than the home page for bots to crawl?

Another reason may be because you are getting more backlinks and social share on your subpage than your home page.  Google may find that your subpage provide the better result to searchers than the home page because it might have more backlinks or contents for them to crawl.

You can use he Geo Target Tool in Webmaster to tell Google that .com/asia-en/services1.html is targeting only people in Asia.  You can use this for each of your location pages to tell Google each page has a specific Geo target and this should avoid duplicate content.

Furthermore, you can also use the href=language tag in HTML to tell Google this page will be in english or spanish and targeting different locations.  http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2012/05/multilingual-and-multinational-site.html

Using these two tools mentioned above hand in hand will help you avoid duplicate content issue within the same website (company.com).

I believe that if you use the geo-target tool in webmaster, it wouldn't compete with your .com website.  Your country subfolder sites will be found by people in that country via search engine and your .com website will be found in US.  They are targeting different location; therefore, I don't see any conflicts.

You can't control these listings, i.e. what to display and what not.  You simply have to optimize all your pages and Google will see them as related pages and will put them together.  I believe this is called Domain Crowding (I can be wrong) and it is used so that the same domain will not appear on the SERP twice so Google can provide more or better results to users.  Google will decide what to show and whether they want to list all your subdomains.

I don't believe having toooooooo many pages will hurt crawling and ranking.  Actually having a lot of pages will give crawl bots more pages to crawl and when someone searches for keywords related to your pages, your pages might show up.

The only 2 problems I see from having too many pages are

1. With all these pages, are they all unique?  With a lot of pages, it will be hard to manager and to keep track if all of them are unique.  If you don't have unique pages and have a lot of duplicate, that will hurt your ranking.

2. The second problem is are you inter-linking all your pages?  Can the bot crawl all your pages?  You will need to have a good linking system and direct bots to different pages for them to crawl.  Having a lot of pages will be difficult to manage as I mentioned above.  Can you interlink all of them so the bots can crawl all of them?  One solution I see to this is submitting a Sitemap but I am not sure if they will index everything since I had a problem with Google only indexing 4% of my sitemap and still can't find solution.

I believe your suggestion or what you have in mind is good.  Your Alt Text includes keyword and describes the image.  It is ok to have similarity in title and alt text as long as it is not exact similar.  Just make sure all your alt text and titles are different and be as descriptive as possible.
