I utilize a variety of keyword tools when I'm doing research, Google keyword tools, word tracker, keyword spy, etc but as soon as I throw in a city or state, the numbers seem to drop drastically or disappear. I understand that naturally these numbers will decrease because it will be a less popular term, but I feel like I have a great phrase and i don't understand why there isn't ANY local data for it. I was wondering what process you go through to specifically identify local terms.

I too agree with Steve. Googles numbers do seem a bit "off" especially when you try to use local terms with it. Although I like Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery too, i think their data is also "off" (my opinion). I think its just a matter of utilizing multiple tools and looking for a common theme. I've also found keyword spy to be helpful as well. Even their free tool is pretty nice in comparison.

Thanks for the quick responses! Let me see if I can do better explaining. In my campaign I click "Manage Keywords" and I see "my keyword" in the list of keywords. I really would like it to say "my keyword city" instead. I was hoping I could just update that but I don't see how I could.

Sounds like what you're saying is that its technically a new keyword so I would have to just add it. That makes sense I just was hoping I could simply edit it on both the keyword list and in the On Page Optimization section.

I have a list of keywords in a campaign that I need to update. I use the keyword report card to review those keyword performance by page.

I dont currently see a way to update those keywords, I only see the option to add or delete. I don't want to delete and re-enter because then I will lose that "mapping".

Is there a way to simply update a keyword?
