How to Define Best Structure of Title Tag and Meta Description?
-
I want to define best structure of Title Tag and Meta Description for my eCommerce website. There are too many categories over there and many be increase in near future.
There are 7K+ products live on website so, it's quite hard to develop Title Tag and Meta Description for all product pages. That's why I have set automatic Title Tag and Meta Description creation with help of developers.
I want to do similar stuff for my category pages. Can anyone suggest me structure of Title Tag and Meta Description which suppose to help me in well over Google's organic result.
I have define structure as follow.
Title Tag:
Category Name: FREE Shipping & Discount Category Name | Vista Stores
Meta Description:
Category Name with FREE shipping, 100% price guarantee, Buy and save 20% to 40% on attractive, modern and discount Category Name.
Meta Keywords:
Category Name
I also want to give real time example with specific URL. (http://www.vistastores.com/69_21/outdoor/patio-umbrellas.html)
Category Name = Patio Umbrellas so with help of above structure Title Tag and Meta Description will be as follow.
Title Tag:
Patio Umbrellas: FREE Shipping & Discount Patio Umbrellas | Vista Stores
Meta Description:
Patio Umbrellas with FREE shipping, 100% price guarantee, Buy and save 20% to 40% on attractive, modern and discount Patio Umbrellas.
Meta Keywords:
Patio Umbrellas
So, Does it matter for good performance? If any inputs in same direction so I am eager to read it.

How your tags are generated are not considered in any form. Your e-commerce solution can automatically generate the tags, or you can manually create them.
The content of the tags themselves are what's important, not how they are created.

Oh great. BTW: Automatic Meta info creation will not mesh up my organic ranking. Right??

Meta Keywords should not be used at all. They offer absolutely no SEO value. It is simply extra HTML code which needs to be processed every time a page loads.
For the title tag, there are two considerations: ranking and CTR. From a pure ranking perspective, your title should be short and focus on unique keywords or phrases people will use to locate your page. Example: "Patio Umbrellas" or "Patio Umbrellas | Vista Stores".
From a CTR perspective "Free Shipping" is attractive, but I would recommend using that phrase as the first words of your meta description, not the title tag. Example of Meta Description: "FREE Shipping on Discounted Patio Umbrellas. 100% Price Guarantee!. Buy today and save 20-40% on attractive, modern Patio Umbrellas."

Is Bing also ignoring meta Keywords tags?
Hi, I originally asked about pros (or lack of them) when it comes to using meta keywords tags here https://moz.com/community/q/importance-or-lack-of-meta-keywords-tags-and-tags-in-drupal. It was most likely related to Google, I guess. Is that the same if it comes to Bing as few sources are not sure how this SERP consider using meta keywords tags and people only speculating. Anyone has any kind of "confirmed" responses or experience? Thank you in advance.

Is there any benefit to removing brand name from the title tag?
I just signed up for Moz recently, and have noticed that in my crawl errors, I have hundreds of issues with my title tag being too long. My business is selling prints for landscape/travel/nature photography, and I've built these pages dynamically to where the title tag for pages selling individual photos has the title of the photo for sale followed by a hyphen and then the brand name. The same goes for gallery pages "Gallery Name | Brand Name". Would it be worth it to shorten the title tags by removing the brand name from these pages? Or will that actually harm more than help? Thanks in advance!

Title tag terminology on website
Hi,
On-Page Optimization | | KasperGJ
I own a website (www.maleribasen.dk), which i'm currently making SEO on. The site actually ranks pretty good, top 1-2 on important searches. The title tag on the frontpage (and lots of other pages too) are "Maleribasen.dk - Buy and sell paintings" (translatated from danish - Maleri means painting). I'm thinking of changing the titles to "Buy and sell paintings | Maleribasen.dk" And then try to use the convention "| Maleribasen.dk" on every other title page. Sometimes use "Buy and sell paintings | Maleribasen.dk" as convention when title is too small. Like the overview of articles would be something like "Articles - Buy and sell paintings | Maleribasen.dk" A specific article would be "How to paint using oil painting | Maleribasen.dk" What do you guys think?0 -
Whats wrong with meta title? In SERP it looks different.
Hi, can someone tell me why my meta titles looks different in SERP? I use Prestashop CMS and meta title in many pages looks similair to this one: Puodų Rinkiniai | Puodai | Iki -40% Akcija | ŠefoSvajonė.lt And in SERP it looks like this: Puodų Rinkiniai - sefosvajone.lt. sefosvajone.lt Why can this be? Its freshly indexed. Rather than set Meta Title text it shows just name of the Product or Category and then shops adress twice or sometimes once. Thanks!

Page Title - What is better?
Hi SEO Heads, I have another question if someone would be so kind in answering What page title of the 2 below is better for SEO (i) Chocolate Cake|Chocolate Cake Recipe|Xmas Cake or (ii) Chocolate Cake | Chocolate Cake Recipe | Xmas Cake As you can see (ii) Page Title has a space before and after the | (vertical bar) I know the second page title looks better to human eyes but on some pages I had to forego the space so i could fit my keywords in the page title. is this a good idea? Can anyone help me? Cheers Aidan
