Blog outgoing links to a certain domain?

Hi Mozzers,

I am working with a website with very decentralized ownership. There are two different languages, each with a different owner.

Owner A keeps linking to crap sites, that hurt the entire site.

My question is this: Is there a way - through .htaccess or robots.txt - that Google can be asked NOT to crawl the links to external crap sites?

The problem is that Owner B cannot control Owner A's html, and thus not implement rel="nofollow" on links.

hmmm.... that sounds kind of sneaky...

...Not an answer to your question but... maybe Owner B should just get a new domain and 301 his URLs over?

Meta tags not being displayed for Mobile version of a blog even after the blog is indexed

I have updated the meta title and meta description for my blog. After updating the meta tags, blog URL was submitted in the webmasters and it has been crawled and indexed by Google but only for the desktop version and not for mobile version. Decrement in Domain Authority

Internal Links

I have a page that I am working to rank. Open Site Explorer shows that I have 69 internal links and a competitive site (ranked #4) has 822 internal links. The page I am looking to rank is on my main navigation menu so it should have an incoming link from every page on my site. My site is 6 years old and has 497 pages indexed according to Google Webmaster Tools. What do I need to do to improve the number of internal links that are being recognized?

Internal Linking From Blog to Website

Hi all, I'm just seeking opinions on something an external company have told us about linking from our blog to our website... Our website is; www.XYZ.com and our blog is www.XYZ.com/blog I add content to the blog on an almost daily basis and generally link on average 3 times from the blog (internally) to a various relevant pages on our website. Today I was told that by doing this I am 'diluting' the link juice which I understand but don't agree with... All I am doing is a form of internal linking which as far as I am aware is a good on-page technique? Just curious to learn other people's view on this... Many thanks Andy

Adding Tags in the blog is good or bad?

Hi Friends, In my blog I used to write unique content in between 300 to 450 words and add the related tags up to 15. When I research about adding tags in the blog I come across this video from “Matt Cutts” says Is it worth spending time on creating tags and categories? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A96yDPqa2rs Key Points from Matt Cutts Video are given below: No Need Tags - In general, Google figure out what your post is about, so don't worry too much about it. So my question is do I need to remove all tags from my blog or can I reduce the tag count to 5 alone? Currently I am using 15 tags to each post, is there any dis-advantage by adding tags like this? Duplicate Content: Snippets from Blog on Website

Our company has a website and a blog, each on a separate domain. On our website's home page, we include snippets from some of our blog posts and links to such posts. The snippets include the same photo, title, and first line or so of text. We have been told and am concerned that search engines will categorize this as duplicate content. Any recommendation as to how we can get around this issue aside from not including the blog posts on our site? I imagine we are not the first company to want to do this. www.angelicolaw.com Thanks,

Pages or Blog posts?

Hi, I am currently building content for a customer's website. There are approximately 50 new content pages I am building about the business, products they serve, how-tos and tips and advice. The website is built on Wordpress so my question is would it be best to post this content as a different blog posts or as separate pages in Wordpress and link them up to a 'hub page' as mentioned on this post about How to rank (point 16) Thanks for any advice.

Internal Linking - Same page

Is there any benefit in internally linking back to the same page? I have no other relevant pages in the site I can link to so wondering if it's worthwhile to use anchor text to link back to the same page?
