Choosing the right keywords
-
With the Pro tools at SEOMoz, how do you know if your going after the right keywords on your website and do any of the tools suggest keywords you should be going after?
-
I see what you are thinking but take it as an investment, if you calculate witch keywords convert you will be able to rank for them. SEO takes time and why put a lot of work into ranking for bad keywords?
And if the keywords dont convert you could look into that and change the page so that you do convert.SEO is just wasted time if you dont convert! Site structure, navigation and user experience should come first. Adwords is great for finding you and then position spesific pages to rank.

I don't even use Adwords anymore. The problem with Adwords was it costs abotu 80 cents to 1.10 per click. I am selling a book and the profit margin is only a few dollars. So unless 100% of the people who clicked on my ads purchased the book, it was seriously ripping into my ROI
-
In addition, look at what keywords are actually converting in your Google Adwords Campaigns. I didn't know what my keywords were until I saw what people were converting on Adwords.
-
It's not on SEOmoz, but I use Google's Keyword tool - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal - and Google Insights to see which keywords get the most monthly searches. If your field isn't super competitive, go after the highest traffic keywords first. If there's a lot of competetion you may want to start with the more specialized, less competitive keywords first.

Hi There, 1- Does MoZ provide the data on “which keyword searchers are searching in a particular market”, so that I can make a better decision regarding my own keywords? If MoZ does not do this what other best tool is out there in market for this particular purpose? 2- Suppose I decide some keywords for my site and start doing optimization for them. "Does MoZ tell me “how much traffic my those keywords are receiving with the passage of time”. If MoZ does not do this what other best tool is out there in market for this particular purpose? 3- Does Moz give "data on competitors keyword activity also"? If MoZ does not do this what other best tool is out there in market for this particular purpose? Hope somebody with concrete knowledge and experience will enlighten me. Cheers Tanveer

Tools for Monitoring Hundreds to Thousands of Keywords and Rankings
Hi All, I am in process of doing and SEO overhaul for our five global sites in: US, UK, Canada, Sweden, France I'd like to track hundreds of keywords and rankings per site - I'm talking at least 300-400 keywords each site. Each site has its own country domain with both www and www2 domains. So, I need a keyword tool that will let me track massive amounts of keywords. I know that the Moz Pro tool helps, but we only have 350 keywords on this account. I think on this. Any suggestions on something reliable that will provide good data? I'm sure I can get some budget to purchase something, but I also can't spend too too much money. I'm not looking for a massive analytics package. Right now, I'm concerned mainly with our keyword rankings Thanks in advance!

The right GA account is not populating as an option. Can I redirect to a GA account not listed?
When setting up a campaign, Moz provides a number of Google Analytic options, however not the one that pertains to the specific URL for the campaign. Is there a setting I need to change to allow for the right GA account to populate? Or, can I enter this manually?

Results of keyword rankings way off??
I just did my first crawl, and a bunch of the keywords show my rank as being like 76 or 102 and I'm number 1 for the search when I search manually. **I of course have personal results turned off and I'm not logged into gmail when I search.

Anyone know how/where to get keyword yield ratio?
I'm trying to incorporate keyword yield ratio (the ratio of keywords to pages yielding search traffic) in my seo report. I want to be able to compare on a monthly basis the percentage ratio of keywords to a landing page yielding search traffic. So for example, in July we might have 5 keywords that earned a click to landing page A. But in September, the number of keywords grew to 8 keywords that earned a click to landing A. I would like to be able to report monthly on the % ratio growth of number of keywords to landing pages that yield search traffic. Aim is to grow # of keywords per page... Is there a way I can get this data through seomoz tools or google analytics? Thanks, Gemma

Tool which shows site ranking for a given keyword
Hi all. I have a client with a specific request and wanted to ask if there is a reliable tool which allows a user to enter a given site and keyword, and it will return the site's ranking for that keyword. More specifically: Needs to work for Google, Yahoo and Bing Needs to work for various countries such as Google.ca, Google.it, etc. Needs to show at least the top ?10k rankings, not just the top 50 The last requirement is the challenge. I clearly recognize anything past the top 50 or so ranks is really off the map, but the client would like to view his current standings.

How many keywords can I look at at once in keyword difficulty tool?
Can I do like 15 at once? I'm also looking at a way to export all the data from multiple keywords in one view, it seems I can only export individual keywords. Is there a better seomoz tool to accomplish this?
