What do you think of these mozbar stats?
-
PA: 50 / mR: 5.39 / mT: 5.56 / DA: 41
Would you say from a website point of view these are ok stats and a guest post on here would be ok?

If the site is not relevant, I would do as Anthony suggests and try to spin it to be relevant. Yes, some links from non relevant will give positive effect, but remember: Most people want to do link building the easy way, if you do it the right way you will end up ahead of them.
The best written info on link building (that is still reasonably concise) is contained on this site. Here is the link: SEOmoz Article - Pro Guide to Link Building
Here is a good post on directories by Cyrus Shepherd: Conquer Link Directories
Again, Do it right for the long term. If you need a bit of immediate punch a few ??? links won't hurt you. Too many will. Also, try submitting to DMOZ and consider Yahoo Directory submission if it is that important for immediacy's sake.
Best

As long as its related to your field, then yeah. I'd also take a look to see if a link from here will generate either reoccurring traffic or a sale. It gets monotonous when you link build without any benefits in the near future.
For example:
I received immediate traffic and achieved goals from a low quality blog with a lot of followers.

I would only shoot for a link or a guest blog post if you think the site is relevant. If you think that the website is a good one, and you can find a way to spin your guest blog post to make it relevant for that site and also tie in your link, go for it.

Cheers for reply.
I understand that the referring traffic would not find the site relevant in your example but would it still give some sort of benefit regarding link building?
Lets say my competition all have low scores regarding the mozbar (me included) so PA:12 / mR:3.49 / mT:3.29 / DA:17 would you say gaining links from guest blogging (even if the sites are not relevant) will still doing something?

If the only thing that you are looking at is this set of numbers or a Google PR, then, OK. I would give consideration to whether or not it is germane to what you are doing. If it is a guest post on a site for Happy Better Sex Gambling and your site is religious, it is probably not best. So, given the distance between those two examples, you have to decide what works in it for you.
Hope that helps.

In my Google Search Console today, I saw a link from Creative Market. In Moz last week I saw a link from Instructables. In Moz, they have high numbers. What does google think about legit link exchanges where one is follow and one is no follow?
Hi Experts! Here is my Question for you. I am doing a link exchange in a legit way to increase sales for my site and my associate's site. My associate just wants a sales increase and no link juice. He has a very low DA so I want to give him a no follow link. Is it suspicious of fishy that I give a no follow link and receive a followed link in return? Please let me know how to proceed, I don't want to take any changes. Can you tell me the best way to proceed with this link exchange? Thanks

I recently had someone say a resource page is a bad idea. What do you think?
I have a resource page on my website: www.joeborders.com an admin on the google webmaster forum said I should get rid of it. That google might look at it as spammy and gaming the system. Either that or greatly expand on it and make it more complete. I haven't updated it in a while and its far from complete. What do you think? Boot it or grow it?

Do you think this is a good idea?
I have an idea that might help people evaluate casually the strength of backlinks. I'm thinking of building an upvoting list of backlink pages. People can vote on how they feel the strength of the backlink site has personally helped them. This would not be algorithmic or scientific, just a community of people rating their actual success with the strength of the backlinks for particular sites. Thoughts? Thanks!

I'm thinking about buying a competitor and 301 redirecting? How much SEO value?
I'm thinking about buying a competitor and 301 redirecting their site to mine. The high level stats are as follows. My site has a DA of 46 and the homepage has a PA of 55. 375 root domains, 170,000 links. The site sells millions of dollars worth of product each year. The competitor (who I had never heard of) has a DA of 58 and a homepage PA of 64. They have 634 root domains and 260,000 links. They aren't selling much of anything (less than 100,000 per year). We might be able to operate their site but I'm concerned about maintaining 2 platforms. My question is about the value of buying this site and 301 redirecting it to my site. Would this create long term SEO value or not? Any examples that have been documented are greatly appreciated.

Thinking about deindexing 200,000 pages
So I was hit with Panda and Penguin. Since then I have been trying to figure out what is it that Google is seeing as "low content" on my site along with links. Concerning low content I am a dictionary based site and I have over 200,000 pages which link to sepecific definitions to words like /dictionary/word/a and so on. Most of these pages if not all have a bounce rate of 100% and very little to no traffic. I used to link every word in my database in my site which is where Google got the links from to begin with. Since then I have removed those links with no impact to my rankings, but Google still has them indexed. I am thinking about deindexing all of them from Google. So all my pages with /dictionary/word/[word here] would be removed. Just wanted to get some opinions on that. Maybe a good idea? Also what would be the preferred method to deindex them. Robots.txt? noindex tag?

Do people think it is worth setting up a twylah.com page? Does it have value in adding link juice and content from our tweets?
I have seen the site www.twylah.com which produces a permanent page of your tweets for your fans or search engines to see. Has anyone experimented with this, and does it provide benefits, or is it just another distraction I should stear clear off. Any advice, thoughts or discussion appreciated.

Do you think 3-way link exchanges help in keyword rank and overall PR authority?
I know traditional link exchanges aren't very valuable and Google doesn't respect them as much, but what about 3-way link exchanges?
