Unsure of sudden dramatic drop for target keyword(s)
-
Even after studying the latest Panda algorithm, which frowns upon templated looks (kind of odd), I have been doing some thorough research trying to find out why a site I have been optimizing plummeted. It was hovering around 10, and fell to 37 in one to two weeks. After I read all about the Panda update, I assumed it was that. But the site falls in line and shouldn't be affected. I used that 3rd party duplicate content checker and the content checked out okay.
I looked on my SEO Pro campaign and noticed that the on-page report got an A grade, hitting on all factors except having the keyword in the URL. So, I have a site that loads in good time and should be fairly well optimized, and falls in line from what I can tell with Google's guidelines, which I read through. So why the drop?
I'm not saying this site is 100% perfect couldn't be any better, optimized to the hilt. It was designed a few years ago, but still, I am just having a hard time finding out why this site got slammed the way it did.
Target Keyword(s)
- Roseville Chiropractor
- Roseville Chiropractic
I welcome any on-page critiques, but mostly would like to know where to look or have some kind of insight to why the rankings dropped, so I can try and fix them the right way. Thank you,

Never tried the geotag, I will give it a shot. I am redesigning the HTML format, to try and better fit it into Panda's regulations. So, if it looks a bit "wonky", that is why.
I appreciate the advice. I still don't know why it plummeted down so fast, but I will certainly implement your techniques.
Lastly, another tidbit of info, I performed a lot of social bookmarking and other forms of link building in August, September, October... I have yet to see ANY backlinks from the work I have done on SEO Moz or in any other 3rd party tool. Don't know if that sheds any light on anything

First, I would say, not bad. Your on page can use just a little: Your address is rolling west and roseville together as one word: WestRoseville. A lot of your internal links use Home as anchor text. You could use a little broader and deeper link profile for these guys.
One thing you need to change is the meta description as you have loaded it with keywords. Meta description is not part of SEO, but is what a potential client will see when they are choosing a site. If the others have a better meta description, then you may have less click throughs which will affect you.
It also looks as if you recently verified their places listing and there is one review from 12/22/2011. I would suggest geo tagging the photos and use photos from the actual office instead of stock. You can geotag in Picasa. Your recency with the owner verification may initially effect your ranking organically.
I have a client who is a chiropractor for both an NFL team and a MLB team. I would suggest not putting any emphasis on things like equipment for specific modalities. (Arpwave, Grafton, etc). Make sure each of your images has alt text that is real, up to about 140 characters and would describe what is going on to a blind person. Don't keyword stuff. Also, why not use an H2 where you can make it work?
I noticed on the site there is no message about pain. In my experience, that is a keyword that is searched on around chiro. Yes, you have TMJ, Migraine, etc. Try pain.
Now, as to where you rank. First if you use Roseville without MN in the term, you are on page 3 or 4 for most terms. When I added MN, which dropped out CA, LA, etc. you moved up to 11 on both (top of page two). I would think if you geotag photos on places, make sure you have done Bing Business portal and citation sites and local directories, you will get to page one - fairly quickly. Remember when you make changes you will see moves and need to wait a short period to see what reality is.
Overall though, I would say you are on the right track.

Stop Words and keyword optimization
Ok, so I understand Google doesn't use stopwords (like "a" or "the"). Therefore if I am optimize for a keyword phrase, and say find an opportunity for say: "how to create stuff something" But it actually reads better as (although doesn't sound completely out of place as above) "how to create stuff in something" Which is better for SEO? (ignore usability \ readability in your replies please and assume it reads reasonably either way as that was just an example)

Web Page Dropped Out of Google?
One of our web pages seems to have completely dropped out of Google after featuring on page 1 for a number of years. It can't be a site wide issue as all other web pages are performing as normal. The page is http://www.contractormoney.com/income-protection/ and the key phrase it was performing well for was 'contractor income protection'. Any ideas??

Ranking Drop and Google Disavow Requests
My website, www.nile-cruises-4u.co.uk has fallen dramatically for the top industry search terms (nile cruise, nile cruises) over the last 12 months from previous page one rankings to page three which has very badly affected us financially. I found, using Linkdetox, that we had thousands of back-links for non-related anchor-text, mainly porn terms, viagra, etc. I have submitted a Disavow file and request about a week ago and wondered firstly if the enormous amount of these links would have helped cause the drop to page three and secondly if the Disavow request will eventually help the website return to better rankings? Thanks,Colin

Steady, but continous Google traffic drop. Help?
I am facing a steady, but deteriorating Google traffic drop and i am struggling to find the real reasons. The site is in the video entertainment niche. Here is some data regarding the site in general: Site redesign happened around June We are not doing a lot of off-site and link building in 2013, besides social activities and content distribution to partner sites (top links from OSE are gained long time ago) GWT crawls errors are clean (besides 404s) No manual actions from Google or penalty notifications Serious fluctuations in indexed content in June, but no real effect on traffic Removal of old content during August Top keywords are dropping (may be caused by category pages removal and flattening site structure) Robots file disallows only search-generated pages No sitemap errors or warnings 2K of duplicate meta-titles and descs Thank you and appreciate your help. wyOyoA9
