Has Google changed its algorithm? My traffic has almost doubled and I don't know why.
-
My traffic has nearly doubled over the past few days, and my conversion rate has doubled as well.
It looks like our rankings haven't changed...
We haven't done anything to the site recently, although we did submit a couple of press releases through the wire not too long ago (within the last few weeks).
I do not think that this is a cyclical/seasonal jump in traffic because last year this did not occur.
Any ideas?

Product feeds are typically for eCommerce. It looks like you're in the mortgage business, so I don't know if there is something comparable or not. Perhaps someone in these forums can help us out on that. There may be a news feed or something similar.
Google, Bing and The Find will let you send them a product feed for free (as opposed to running a pay per click or pay per acquisition campaign).
Let's use Google for example. In short, our feed automatically sends Google our products with images, product name and info snippet with updates every day. Products in the feed are displayed in Google organic search and Google shopping. There are no pay per click or pay per acquisition charges.

Whats a product feed?
-
heh..... Christmas Bills was my guess.. but you said this didn't happen last year.
Is there a mortgage program or deduction in play?
-
Did someone add your site to a product feed while you were on a holiday vacation? Nothing like a product feed to put you on page one and increase your traffic/conversions by 30-50%.

This site resell affiliate traffic - so if you've visitors from this source, than somebody definitely register account and add you site.. if traffic stopped it can be trial $10.
-
My popular landing pages are all the same...
We're getting more referral traffic from searchcaveman.com - what is that? It still doesn't account for everything though.

Awesome news!
Check out you analytics account and track where the traffic came from...Has it come from a variety of sources or just a single source?
Maybe another website has just linked to you? or your being found for many more key terms?
Or your ranking well for a phrase your don't know about?
Analytics will be able to tell you.

Google Analytics View Filters
Using the same GA property, I would like to set up three filtered views: 1. Tracking across one subdomain and one primary domain (example: shop.example.com & example.com) 2. Track only primary domain (example.com) 3. Track only subdomain (shop.example.com) Can this be achieved by using view filters? If so, how do they need to be set? Also, according to this article: https://moz.com/blog/cross-domain-subdomain-tracking-in-google-analytics, with cross domain tracking, I need to ignore self-referrals, which can only be done at the property level. If set up to ignore example.com referrals, will this cause problems with filter 2 and 3?

Google Analytics Code
We have a quick question about our Google Analytics code: We recently updated to a re-marketing Analytics code, and some of our traffic numbers seem to be off by a bit. I used the Google Tag Assistant Chrome Extension today, and noticed that it's finding our old Analytics code on our pages, but it's coming up as an error due to "no HTTP Response". I am attempting to remove this code from the website, but it is nowhere to be found in the HTML coding. Only the current one is there. So I'm wondering if this second Analytics code is effecting our traffic and reporting, even if the code is currently non-functional? and if it is, how could I go about removing it if it's not currently in our HTML? Thanks!

Google Analytics Content Experiments
Has anyone else found that Google Analytics Content Experiments seems to quite quickly favor the best performing variant in an experiment, and then show that variant many times more often than other/s - not split the traffic evenly? What is Google's thinking behind 'optimizing' during an experiment? It seems odd to me.

Tips for migrating Google News traffic?
We are about to relaunch a site that gets a lot of Google News traffic. We are not changing domain, but the site structure is changing greatly, with the URLs of both news index pages and articles being shaken up. Obviously, we've 301-ed every page to its closest equivalent on the new site. We've also got a news sitemap. As we are not changing domain, is there anything further we need to do to help protect our Google News traffic. On a related note, does anyone have a relaible way of measuring traffic from Google News listings in universal search?

Results Google in different browsers
I have changed one of my company pages. Now I saw that the Google position is different using IE of Firefox. In IE we are at position 1, in Firefox we are at position 4. Does anybody know, why this is? And how I could change this for different browsers? At the end the results are from Google.

Google analytics tracking
Is their a built-in or easy way to track the amount of times an exit link is clicked on a page and show that with other links of the page. For instance: I had a page with several external ad links on it and I want to track how many each got and rank them in google analytics
