Paste 'do a barrel roll' into Google - See what happens!!
-
Hi,
Paste the words 'do a barrel roll' in Google and see what happens!
-
LOL that is funny!
-
You have to disable google instant predictions in your search settings, if you really wanted to know! Bit daft isn't it.
-
Same Happens when you search "bskew"
-
Search 'Google Gravity' then click back into the search box and remove the 'y' and it should predict (looks like it only works in Firefox and Chrome)
-
How does one hit "i'm feeling lucky" now with the suggested searches jumping straight to the live serp?
-
When I first sore it I honestly thought my PC had been infected with something for a split second.
-
I almost threw up!
-
What Sorcery is this?
-
Uh more, I thought I found something hidden then.
-
Not really a "Q&A", but here are a few more:
- Enter "Google Gravity" in the search bar and hit "I'm feeling lucky"
- Enter "askew" in the search bar

Google number one search result looks drastically different in firefox compared to chrome
I just noticed this today that some websites and brands look like this on firefox only, and others while still being number one result for their brand name, do not appear like this at all. also, this does not happen over chrome at all. both images provided for comparison are using the same google apps account logged in. It would be nice if someone could shed some light on as to why this happens sporadically and what does it take to be distinguished like this for your own brand if you own the identical domain.com or whatever. Google Webspam Algo Update 24/4/12
Having just checked our clients rankings 95% have not been affected, in fact many have moved up rankings. 1 or 2 have had big drops 😞 Who has been effected by this? The forums are full of people talking about sites being floored from the serp's. it will be interesting to follow the aftermath of this and get some insight into what exactly has changed!

Chrome blocked sites used by Googles Panda update
Google's Panda update said it used Chrome users blocked sites lists as a benchmark for what they now term poor quality content. They said the Panda update effectively took about 85% of them out of the search results. This got me thinking, it would be very nice to discover what are the exact sites they don't like. Does anyone know if there is an archive of what these sites might be? Or if none exists, maybe if people could share their Chrome blocked sites on here we might get an idea?

SEO hosting (EU/Spanish IP's) any1?
Hello all, I'm currently trying to find a great hosting company which can offer a fast and stable service and more important, with the possibility of geolocalizing IP's of Europe and concretely for Spain. I've found Ixwebhosting but they only offer US Ip's, as their datacenters are there. I don't know if it's the same thing outside spain, but here the hosting companies only use to have a single "C-class" range so even buying them different IP's doesn't help that much, and it isn't cheap (2€/month/ip...). So if you know someone offering what I'm looking for (or really close to it) drop a line, I'll appreciate your help! 🙂

I'm looking for solid internet usage / traffic data.
Hi there, In a week or two I'll give my first internet marketing presentation to a local business club. Ill walk them through the basics of what is happening online, and how both B2B and B2C business can use their online assets as marketing tools. I want some basic statistical data to back up my story, like: Current web usage distribution (social/search/media etc) Growth of Mobile vs Desktop Search Engines distribution (google bing yahoo msn) Online retail numbers To top it all off, I would also like to be able to show both worldwide and The Netherlands data. What is my best bet for some serious datamining ;)? Thanks in advance for helping me out!
