Need people's opinion on if this is good advice for link building
-
What google wants is authority, relevancy, quality and engagement. If you have an authority in your niche and place relevant content on your website plus grammar free, unique and a lot of words, and social influence via Twitter, Facebook, Google +... You shouldn't be worried about the speed of building back links.
I checked your website and it seems like an authority site. PR5, 18K backlinks plus $38K SE free traffic (according to SEMrush)... You just need a social influence to boost your authority. Create Twitter, Facebook, Google+ accounts for this website and also Facebook and Google+ pages. Then Create 30 web 2.0 accounts and on each one post three articles. Two of them are an account activation (this is what I call it), which can be just grabbed from ezinearticles and spun. Keep the links to the articles at the bottom of the pages. Once your web 2.0 sites are indexed by Google publish 800+ words quality relevant content with two links to your website. One to your root domain and one to the most relevant page your website (I mean relevant to the 800+ words article). Do this on each of those 30 web 2.0 sites.
After this blast all of the 800+ articles with all kind of backlinks. Forum profiles, blog comments, article directories... Just use Senuke and other software.
And don't forget to create a facebook fan page for each of the web 2.0 sites.
In one month, you'll see a heck of a move in rankings.
Where does the bookmarking part go? You need to bookmark every single URL you want Google to see.
And if you want to outsource it, I highly recommend you to get a full time VA who would do this for you.
Hope it helps. And your answer to your question about speed, if your site is older than 3 months don't care about the speed. Care about the quality.

And for the rest, give that advice to your competitor, right EGOL?

It doesn't make sense that the person giving this advice starts out talking about authority, relevancy, quality, and engagement, then goes straight into recommending anything but.
SEnuke is trash. Don't waste your time. It works well for what it promises to do, but you'll be getting terrible links within spun content. I also don't know why the person would recommend creating 30 web 2.0 accounts and pushing links at them. If he's trying to build authority to those sites to make the links more valuable, why the heck wouldn't you just save your time and point all those links at your own site.
The suggested strategy used to work, and still does for some niches.
Please, please, please don't do this. You've done something right so far with a decent site (according to the metrics he included, even though PR isn't much help). Don't mess it up by pointing garbage content at your site. Like Rand likes to say, take all that time you were going to spend doing this stuff, and just do something meaningful. Write a great guest post or update your site content.
I really don't want to go through the advice and pick out every little thing that's wrong (there's a lot). Hang in there bud and write some killer content.

Multiple language redirect, link building and social sharing
Hi all, I have 3 questions bother me for weeks, thanks advance for any answers. We are an online langauge school, provide many content about learn Chinese , the site is http://www.chinesetimeschool.com/ 1. Langauge issue. As you can see, It's a multiple language site, when a user first time visit the site, it redirects (302) the user to his own language. I have read many articles about this, most said 301 is good than 302. But 301 is a permanent redirect, so it can only implement on one language, right? For example, if we 301 redirect http://www.chinesetimeschool.com to http://www.chinesetimeschool.com/en-us/ for english speaking users, we have to use 302 redirect for other languages, ie, 302 redirect http://www.chinesetimeschool.com/ to http://www.chinesetimeschool.com/fr-fr/ for French speaking people. Or in other words, we cannot use 301 to redirect home page to different language page, right? In my understanding, it will mess up google which language page the home page redirects to. 2. Link building. Our editor created a lot content, but from Alexa we only see 85 links back, which means our content has few exposure. We want to get more links back especially for the English version, any advice? should we find a US company help us since we are in China not famliar with US? Any good company or guys good at link building/content exposure suggested? 3. Social sharing. We have around 300,000 followers on facebook, many content pages has hundreds of shares, for example, this page http://www.chinesetimeschool.com/en-us/articles/new-years-greetings-in-chinese/ has 129 shares and 333 likes (I use Moz open site explorer tool), but if I check http://www.chinesetimeschool.com/, only has 130 shares and 414 likes. So I think shares of a page won't be counted in the domain shares. This makes me thinking of 2 things:

A. Will social shares of home page be more important than other pages? If so, we need share more of our home page.
B. Even if we have a lot page shares, I didn't see any google traffic changes (for at least half year), will it mean social page shares has very few influences to google seo? Many thanks!

Special result for linkedin when you search for 'link'
Hello everyone, I found this merely by chance. I wanted to open linkedin on chrome and hasty as I am i just typed 'link'. Wanted google to understand and return linkedin as the first result so i could just click on it. This is what it returned. Google allows you to search directly on Linkedin from the results page. Its quite fascinating for me. I hope my knowledge isn't too outdated. R0mp9aO

Competitor has 50 linking root domains, 2500 facebook likes
Hello, A competitor of ours is ranking way higher than you would expect. They have very few links, half the DA and homepage PA of us, yet they rank several slots higher. On analysis, the only difference seems to be that they have 2500 facebook likes. Did they buy likes? Have you seen anything odd like this before? Thanks.

YouTube Listing Videos That We Didn't Upload
Our Company has recently started doing videos on installation and product features. As we were going through our Google YouTube Analytic, we noticed there are random letters and numbers that are coming up as a video (example:YsQgAQPykMI), although it is not a link. _Where we are finding this information: Google YouTube Analytic under the Comment section. The bottom section will list the videos that the channel has uploaded and its respective link. _ 1. What and why is YouTube pulling this information? 2. How can I remove this from our listing? 3. What are future measures we can take to prevent this from happening again? Unfortunately, I'm not able to upload an image to show you exactly what the issue is. Thanks for your help, Tamara HzS9DYi

Scribit - A good deal?
Hi there! There's a new platform on the web which says that it can crawl on the web to get the best content around social media and blogs in order to allow the developer of website "x" to public this content on their websites (with all rights reserved - that make me believe that it generates automatically rel="cannonical" tags). http://techcrunch.com/2012/04/18/scribit-launch/ http://www.scribit.com/ I aways heard that all kind of automatic content applications suck, and my fist impression about this one was the same. But my business partner found it really interesting, mostly because we have a small team to generate constant great content. So I said to him that automatically generated content commonly suck in any case, and google sometime will find that our blog has 1kk rel="canonnical" tags for every post and they might find it suspect. Anyway he asked me to research more about this specific platform and I wanna know what you guys think about it. Forget speech errors. English is not my native language. Regards.
