Site submission to site explore
-
Is there a site submission process like google.com/addurl for site explore?
-
Yeah I have several sites that are in site explore all of them have links that point to it but still no luck, the twitter thing is a good idea. Ill make sure FB and G+ have them as well. I need to know my DA and PA on those sites
-
No, there is no submit form for site explorer.
However, if your site is not in the site explorer database, make sure the site is not "cut off "in a far away galaxy, far from site explorer reach.
Have some inbound links build and it will get higher as far as " domain authority " and it will get picked up fast.

I had a new domain registered in january that of course was blank in site explorer, we've build 4 links (one from a twitter account , one from a niche directory with low authority (about 20), one from an article we've post, a press release with a no follow link actually and one from another site we own in the same niche.
It got picked up by google in less then 24 h and by site explorer in less then 30 days.
Hope it helps even if it's not the answer you are expecting - maybe.

Open Site Explorer: Facebook Shares, Likes, etc.
I don't fully understand what this means in the report for our site: http://screencast.com/t/aG5jbkYWLA here is our site: www.discountqueens.com & we have thousands of fans & facebook likes and all the time on all our posts. For example yesterday we had 73 likes on this post alone: http://www.discountqueens.com/amazon-ultimate-shrinky-dinks-jewelry-designer-1495/ So here's my questions: Is there an error in the reporting? Are we using a social sharing method that isn't giving us valid credit for these links? What should I consider doing differently & why isn't our likes, shares, tweets & Google+ being calculated into our score?

Does Open Site Explorer purposefully not crawl some sites?
I use both SEOmoz's Open Site Explorer and Web Master Tools to find backlinks when conducting link audits. WMT always finds more links than OSE; I understand Google's database is bigger. But what is interesting to me is that it seems that a large percentage of the links WMT finds that OSE does not are real crappy links that I don't want. That makes me wonder if SEOmoz decides not to crawl certain, low quality, sites? Just curious.

Moving from a dynamic site to nopcommerce
Hi, First question since becoming a member so be gentle with me ;o) We are moving from a site using a dynamically generated ecommercetemplate to a nopcommerce site. I have two questions about this I know that 301 redirects are the best way to pass "link juice" but with the site being dynamically generated a lot of these links will simply disappear when we move to nop, meaning that they wont actually be there in order to add a 301. Any advice on this would be appreciated. How can i get a list of the pages on my current site which have the best rank in order to create the redirects. Unfortunately due to some technical issues we had with google analytics we were unable to install it so dont really have any analytics to give us some extra info. I was hoping that there would be somewhere within seomoz where i could be directed. Many thanks Chris

Finding page authority for a list of sites
I went to Distilled's linklove conference earlier this week. Many of the presenters showed spreadsheets where they had pulled in Page Authority for a long list of sites. What tool can you use to quickly do this? For instance, I want to be able to copy a list of 100 sites into a tool and have it spit out the PA for every site...anybody know how to do this?

Keyword research & how it's relevant to my site.
How do I know if I can compete on a particular keyword. Say the keyword analysis tool shows the keyword difficulty is 59%. How do I know what 59% means to my site, other than checking domain and page authority relative to my site (i.e. if sites in the top 10 are higher or lower authority than my site). Is there a way of showing what keyword difficulty percentage is a cut off point for my site? Thanks, Dan

Link Diagnosis and Open Site Explorer
I work at a web design firm that's starting to offer SEO to its clients. They want to keep costs down until the SEO side becomes more established, so I've been using mostly free tools to do the SEO. I've been using a website called LinkDiagnosis.com to check backlinks for clients. It says the data is provided by SEOmoz, so I thought it must be pretty reliable. However, I just signed up for the PRO trial to test out all of SEOmoz's tools (& hopefully convince my company to sign us up), and I find that the link information between the 2 tools can be vastly different! Sometimes the number of unique linking domains is very close, but other times it can be off by hundreds, even thousands, with Open Site Explorer typically providing the higher numbers. Is the Link Diagnosis tool really powered with data from SEOmoz, or does it just receive a portion of the data, since it's a free tool? I'm just trying to figure out what will be the most reliable solution for me to keep using, and the discrepancies between the two tools has caused me to question the reliability of both. Thanks, Hector
