Custom Web Fonts
-
If we decide to use custom web fonts - using CSS + linked .ttf files - will there be any sort of issue in terms of being looked down upon by SE's?
I realize there would be a slight increase in download time - but other than that has anyone experienced any negative effects?
-
We have never had any negative SEO effects from this. Just make sure you handle it the correct way - its a bit more than just uploading a ttf file. Use either Google fonts or a create your own "kit" with font squirrel which converts your font to all of the necessary files and gives you the sample css and html codes to implement it correctly.

Inserting Keywords in Web Pages
Hello! Question: When I add chosen keywords to my site (in urls, title tags, meta description, page content, headers, etc), do I need to put the words on my webpage exactly as they appear in my keyword research? So if I searched "therapist bay area" and I want to include these keywords, for example, must I use those words in that order in a sentence or header on my homepage? Or is it enough to include each word somewhere on the page?

Responsive web design and SEO
Hi guys, Do any of you know about responsive web design? In short it's a method that ensures that your website adopts to the resolution on the users screen. The point is that you don't have to make a site for each format, it's all there in your overall design. So, to the question: Does, to your knowledge, an integration of responsive web design harm your SEO? I tried to search for "responsive we design + SEO" but I really didn't get any useful information. Thanks a lot - all comments are very much appreciated.

SEO capability on web pages v blog posts
firstly, apologies if this is a daft question, I am very new to this! We are about to launch a new website (very exciting) and our CEO is mad about incorprating a "tag cloud" because it looks good! Our web designer therefore has to convert all our web pages to "posts" in order for the tag cloud to pick up the "tagged" words associated with the specific pages (soon to be posts). Question: With regards to SEO, will the change from "web page" to "post" have any positive or negative effects? Thanks in advance

Does font size matter?
I have a two-part question: 1. I know that bold and italicized font can help keywords rank better. I have a block of regular text on my site that is really more for SEO than anything else. If I reduce the font size, will it have an impact on the importance of the text? 2. If you reduce the size of font enclosed in header tags, such as, reducing h1 text to 8 px font, does that have an impact on the importance of the text within that h1 tag?

Why isn't SEOMoz using File Extensions (*.html etc) on any of their web page URLs?
...and what is the SEO benefit of this? This video from Matt Cutts suggests using file extentions, except for a directory.
