Question about Competitive Link Comparison

Hi,
I am trying to see where backlinks are coming from into my site using the competitive link comparison tool but it only seems to be finding those from my own site, even when I click on 'only external'.
I know there should be links from Twitter, forums and our blog so I don't understand why these aren't being picked up.
Any ideas?

Yep - tried that and it doesn't seem to make a difference unfortunately.

What page are you checking? As well as picking "only external" have you tried selecting "pages on this sub-domain" or "pages on this root domain" to check for any links to any page on your site?

Hi Steve,
SEOmoz's linkscape doesn't update in real-time, so it could take a few weeks to see any new links. Possibly a lot longer for links from sites that aren't as well connected.
Can always use Google Analytics to see where referrals are coming from - handy for picking out useful backlinks.

Internal linking
Hi, I currently have built my website with internal links to boost my category pages (the ones that are the most important with the most traffic). Is the way to go or nowadays or doesn't it matter what pages you boost. I beleive what I did is some sort of "page rank sculpting" but is it still useful ? or I should I link natural across my website even though some pages will get a boost and some won't ? The link that I have are at the bottom of my content (not in the footer) but at the bottom of the page next to each other ? does they count or is it really bad to have them that way ? I have a blog and I was wondering if when I link from my blog page for example about "Barolo" to my page about "Piedmont" if I should also link from my page about "Piedmont" to my Barolo page or if the link only has to go one way from my blog / Barolo page to my piedmont page to boost Piedmont. Uk link building
Hello mozzers, I have a UK website that I have slowly been building high quality links to from highly trusted websites, traffic is slowly but steadily rising. So far all the links i've built are on UK websites. I've discovered there are many opportunities to get links from loosely related US websites. Would links from highly trusted US domains help my UK rankings? Would they help, but not as much as UK links? I'd be very grateful to hear anyones thoughts on this. Thank you so much!

How do I find links that link to several competitor sites?
I want to find linking pages that link to several of my competitors. Those are likely to be lists of tools I can also add my website to. My application is a dashboard tool/kanban board. So if I find a page linking both to say kanbannery.com and kanbanflow.com it will be likely to be a collection of links to kanban tools, ad my application can be relatively easy added. Magestic SEO has a "clique hunter" - is there anything similar in MOZ suite of tools?

Spammy Links in MOZ but when I go to the external link I can't find a link to us
I was going to try to contact webmasters to see if they would remove some of our spammy links. I see alot of them in MOZ but when you go to the site our anchor text is not there. Is this good? How often does MOZ refresh external links. Another Footer Links question
I have reposted this as a new question as I posted in an old 'Answered' question but not had a reply. Footer links We have generated new business from links that we have on client sites linking back to us. The new client will call/email us saying "we see you did example.com website, which we like, would you mind quoting for a redesign our website". Without that link we may never have got that new piece of business. We always ask the client if we can place on link on their website and they all say ok. We don't do this for purely for SEO. The only thing we have done previously is to include the link in the footer of every page on the client site, which we are now in the process of changing to being only the client home page. With that in mind, is the following ok to do? Place text/image link in footer of client home page Link to be "nofollow" which goes to specific page on our own website e.g. oursite.com/portfolio/clientname.php on oursite.com/portfolio/clientname.php page we link back to client's home page, again this would be a "nofollow"

Do links from the second page of an article pass link juice?
I have been writing for some sites with a high overall page rank and the articles are being viewed as quality by search engines as well. However, they usually put a link to my site at the very end of the article and then break the article down into two pages to increase ad revenue. It seems that I'm not getting much credit for that link even if the page has a high SEOmoz/PR score. I want to know if I am getting the benefit from these links. If not, how do I make sure I get the most bang, even if my link is on a second page of the article?
