Count of words in all urls in a subdomian

Hi, I am trying to understand in a simple way how much content (words per url) are included in all urls under a subdomain. Is there a way to get this information from any of the tools ? thanks!

Thanks, a bit manual as you say! it could be an idea for one of Seomoz reports since I understand that google panda counts total words in each page.. if seomoz could include an automated report that would help. thanks

So did some searching, and the only tool I found is a bit manual to use, but it will give you a running sum of your count. Though it only counts one page at a time. http://www.kwintessential.co.uk/translation/website-wordcount-tool.php

Tool to check page size for multiple url's at once
In Google Analytics under Site Speed > Page Timings, you can see all pages and their loading time compared to the average. This is very handy to check which pages maybe need some optimization. I would also like to check the size for these pages in a similar way. There are multiple tools out there like GTmetix and Pingdom that give specific information and performance insights. The problem is that they are limited to check one url at a time. Does someone know about a tool to check the page size of multiple url’s at once (and if possible to easily export to Excel)? That way I can check which pages are big in size and research/optimize them. Thanks in advance

How can I make sure that we are only tracking for single URLs?
Is there a way to track in Google analytics where part of the URL is excluded. For example, we need to track when customers complete an application form, however whenever a new form is completed a new URL is created. This makes it difficult to track pages in GA as there are so many URLs.

URL Formatting for Internal Link Tagging
After doing some research on internal campaign link tagging, I have seen conflicting viewpoints from analytics and SEO professionals regarding the most effective and SEO-friendly way to tag internal links for a large ecommerce site. It seems there are several common methods of tagging internal links, which can alter how Google interprets these links and indexes the URLs these links point to. Query Parameter - Using ? or & to separate a parameter like cid that will be appended to all internal-pointing links. Since Google will crawl and index these, I believe this method has the potential of causing duplicate content. Hash - Using # to separate a parameter like cid that will be appended to all internal-pointing links. Javascript - Using an onclick event to pass tracking data to your analytics platform Not Tagging Internal Links - While this method will provide the cleanest possible internal link paths for Google and users navigating the site and prevent duplicate content issues, analytics will be less effective. For those of you that manage SEO or analytics for large (1 million+ visits per month) ecommerce sites, what method do you employ and why? Edit* - For this discussion, I am only concerned with tagging links within the site that point to other pages within the same site - not links that come from outside the site or lead offsite. Virtual Pageviews vs. Destination URL for Goal tracking
I am working on setting up goal tracking. Currently when we receive a new signup, the person gets sent to their dashboard homepage and this is not a valuable a goal tracking destination. My suggestion was to build a "Welcome" interstitial page to send a user to when they create an account. Our tech team suggested using a Virtual pageview instead as it is their thinking that a "Welcome" page adds little value. Is there any downside to using Virtual Pageviews with regards to goal tracking?

Question about cannonical URLs for a site redesign
Hello folks, I've redesigned a site completely and I ended up changing their CMS to wordpress as well. So their URLs which mostly ended in .html and folder organization have been thrown completely out the window with wordpress' '/' format. I'm just wondering what the best way is to approach retaining all the site's previous "link juice". What should I be doing here? How do I make sure their organic rankings don't fall? (They've left their previous SEO firm so they can't help me out on this). Thanks!

URL ending with ?cpc=1
Hi, In the analytics data (SEO - Landing Sites) on a site I just started working with - 2 different url's show up (when I filter the results): /example**.asp** /example**.asp?cpc=1** The first recieves 2/3 of the visits (among these 2 pages) and the other recieves 1/3 of the visits (among these 2 pages). The second (/example.asp?cpc=1) is apparently getting the clicks from Adwords, since it isn't indexed by Google.. Can someone explain me: 1) why the cms is producing this kind of double landing page? is it possible to avoid it in any way? (it is not the only example on site - so it makes analyzing data more difficult). Thanks Christian

Google Analytics: Do url redirects show up
Good Morning from 6 degrees c mostly cloudy wetherby UK 🙂 A redirect has been set up with the effect that when you key in www.hyload.co.uk it forwards to www.ikogroup.co.uk My question is please...within Google analytics will referall traffic from www.hyload.co.uk show up in referral traffic or because its a redirect will it be counted as direct traffic. GA - how returning visitors are counted ?
If a visitor comes to my site from 3 different traffic sources within a session, does GA report shows 1 visit and 2 returning visitors ? Previously ( before Google made changes in session ) it used to show 1 visit and zero returning visitors. right ?
