Does concatenating two words make them lose their SEO value
-
I'm working with a client whose product titles are things like "InternetSecurity" and for branding purposes has thus far required any reference to the products be concatenated in this fashion (on page, links, URL, title tags). It seems to me that would greatly reduce their SEO relevance. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark

There was a school of thought a number of years ago that thought that Google would ignore the fact that there were no spaces between two words - and for some phrases that are not as highly contested, you might find this is still the case - but I can't think of any occurrences of anything that I am working with now where concatenated words will yield the same or better results - separate the words wherever possible.

I agree, I used to promote a company doing Internet Security and if you do a search for both in Google.
- Internet Security = 243,000,000 other results
- InternetSecurity = 135,000,000 other results
it will say did you mean. You will also see less searches for this... Personally I would break it up, Google will show the result but you will have more luck with that word broken up other words words are fine put together such as halfprice vs half price.
Hope this helps.

Change SEO focus from homepage to other page on the domain
Hi, we are (were) ranking top 5 with gietvloer-wand.nl by focussing the homepage for a certain keyword. We're trying to change to focus from the homepage to /gietvloeren with more content / information. How to go about this? how to tell Google that /gietvloeren is more relevant / important then than the homepage? Or any experiences how long it will take for Google to see that the page has more information than the homepage? It's a test and any experiences you can share would be great. Thanks!

Is Wix still terrible for SEO?
In Australia, I hear it over and over again that Wix is literally the worst site builder you can use due to it's poor site build for SEO. Has anyone here got some tangible reasons for why this is? As I am constantly getting asked this by clients who are using Wix and want me to help with their SEO.

Ranking for a word when your image is showing up as #2?
I'm trying to rank for several specific words in my industry. I've noticed that many of the pages I'm trying to rank for the specific words, the main image of the page is being ranked. So my question is should I still try to rank my page even though the image is ranking as the first image displayed in the google results. Will this count against me by Google if I do? Or should I try to make the image being ranked more enticing for google searchers to try to increase traffic? Right now the images are not generating many clicks.

Does anyone have any experience with Instart Logic, and its effects (if any) on SEO?
Instart Logic is a content delivery network CDN, which claims to have a positive effect on time to first bite (TTFB). Faster site = good for SEO, right? Our initial investigation seems to confirm its claims to some degree, which is great, but at the same time we think it may lower our score on Google's PageSpeed Insights tool, which sort of negates its effect in other areas. If the user experience is worse (according to Google's own tool), are we effectively shooting ourselves in the foot by concentrating on TTFB as a ranking algorithm factor? How many times should a word appear in an article?
Hi My site is maily about growing fruit and vegetables and was badly hit after the September Panda update. Each page is about one type of fruit or vegetable and discusses how to grow that particular plant. Each page targets two keyword phrases, "growing abc" and "how to grow abc" so e.g. "Growing garlic: a guide on how to grow garlic" would be the page title and then the two phrases used a couple of times on each page. However the plant, in the above example "garlic" can appear upto 30 or 40 times per page, also the phrases "how to grow" and "growing" will appear on just about every page, would these facts be hurting my overall site rankings? Many Thanks Simon
