Zemanta For link building -Is it Worth the money?
-
Im looking to the community to help me decide if zemanta.com is a good link builiding method. Is it worth the money?
-
In our case it wasn't worth the money at all. All we received was very poor links from unrelated or 0 authority sites with no traffic. It's risky so you should first ask for a free trial. (if they offer it)
-
I'm using both Zemanta's article recommendation and their in-context program. It is an extremely cost-effective way to get links if you a publisher. You'll need to have a baseline level of articles or other information-rich content types in order to succeed.
Note that with Zemanta, you pay for the impression with the blogger—the blog still has to choose to include your recommended link. As a result, you control your own destiny with Zemanta, as your cost-per-link will be a function of your content quality.
-
i guess ill give it a try
- Anyone try the image or text link feature they offer
They want a 3 month commitment and cost a lot more for those.
-
We've published a few infographics on our blog , and they've gotten picked up no more or less than other top pieces of content. Most of our content is article-style, but I'm sure graphics would perform well on a consistent basis.
Your headlines are actually really important too. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of their bloggers pick recommended links based on the headlines (and then verify that the content is good).
So you could experiment with and without having "Infographic" in the headline, and see what performs better.

would a quality info graphic work or more the blog post type - Thanks for the answer

I've been using Zemanta for several months, and I really like the service. We're at their minimum monthly budget and usually get between 45 and 70 links/mo. A few things to keep in mind:
-
We're a client for their recommended blog links only -- not their in-context, text links.
-
You should definitely have other link building tactics you're employing. Zemanta is great for adding a steady stream of links, but it should compliment other efforts.
-
Keep in mind that while some links will be from excellent sources, some will also inevitably be from blogs with very little traffic and/or domain authority.
-
Most importantly, you need to have excellent content. Our content performs extremely well on Zemanta because of the quality of content we publish.
I would definitely recommend Zemanta if you have great content and would use the service as part of a more comprehensive link building plan.

Quickest way to build links?
I'm in furniture e-commerce. I'm not new to e-commerce but I am new to SEO as I used to just hire everything out. What is the quickest way to build or should I say earn links? So far I've just been contacting bloggers and I've built about 4 links through guest posts in the past month. The problem is I can't tell if this is good or bad. I also contacted a niche directory and they liked my content so they are going to include my website in their directory for free next week. Should I continue doing what I'm doing? Do I need to be more aggressive? Suggestions? Thanks guys.

Gained my first quality link, was it worth 2 hours of work?
Hello,
Link Building | | wppseo
I'm a newbie. I'm building a brand new site. In a niche service business, worldwide.
Today I gained my first link, I tried to reach to the highest qualify link I could identify.
I'd like to know if you think my two hours effort was worthy, or laughable. Because I can gain other 3 or 4 links from other domains working like that. I tell you where is my first link: the top domain is in the same niche business, DA 79
My link is in a subdomain page (always in the same niche business) that has: 20 other links (mine is the only external dofollow) Domain Authority 79 /100 Page Authority 31 /100 Page Link Metrics Just-Discovered 79 in 32 Days Established Links 1 Root Domain 4 Total Links the homepage of the subdomain has Page Authority of 66 /100 Page Social Metrics 0 0 0 0 0 I'd appreciate any feedback.0 -
How do I find and can I trust link building companies
I'm finding it hard to build quality links. I don't want to employ a link building company as I can't find anyone I can trust. I also don't know what is a realistic rate of pay for link building work.

Link Building
I noticed another SEO builds backlinks (tons) on a social media profile that then has a link to his client's site. Another site he builds backlinks are a bitly account that 301's to the clients account. Why would you do this? Is it that you can build links indiscriminately to build a page up in PR to 3-4-5 PR, then pass that higher PR to your site (safe). Is that PR building method better than placing 100's of smaller PR links on your site? It seems logical that if you passed in a tremendous amount of juice to juice a site up to PR4, you won't make your main site PR4 by JUST that link. You would need to build a lot of PR4 sites to make your site PR4. Why not just put all the backlinks on the main page instead of building up secondary social profiles etc... Please reveal this secret. I know a lot of SEOs are using this method. Help 🙂

Looking to outsource some of our link building...
Hi Everyone, We are a small online marketing firm in the UK and we are starting to hit a bit of a bottleneck in terms of the resources that we have that can be devoted to link building. As a result, we need to outsource the link building for some of our clients (around 10). Obviously, we only want ethical, white hat link building to take place and it really is a focus on quality rather than quantity. As you can imagine, being a fairly small firm, we also have a very limited budget! We would ideally like to work with UK link builders but would definitely look at overseas partnerships if it worked out more cost effective and the standard of the link building meets our standards. Just so that I'm not wasting anyone's time, we have a budget of around £200-300 for this (I know, its a very limited budget!). I understand that with this budget comes limitations so we would be more than willing at looking at some stripped down packages (for example, we already have in-house bloggers, so we wouldn't need that). Let me know if you are interested or if you would be able to recommend anyone to me. It would be a great help. Matt

Link building options...slim
I am in a smaller town and sell real estate. I have seen a lot of the competitors links and some of them are just blog commenting spam and things like that (although they are ranking well for certain terms and their links are coming from sites that have nothing to do with real estate.) I guess what I am trying to say is should I start going after links from other towns/cities in my state or should I go outside of my state and start looking for other links in other cities and states? I have bought my townstate.com from someone recently and it ranks highly for town, state. I am trying to find different ways to get to number one for my "town, state real estate". What would you do? Would you continue to add content once a week or so as well as build links? Thanks!

Building Links
Hi everyone, I am new to SEO and in the process of building links the clean way. Any suggestions on how exactly I can find websites that are linking out to quality websites already? I went thru most of my competitors link building strategy - and 90% of their links are done either thru link exchange or paid links. So looking at my competitors strategy does not really help. So I need to find websites/blogs/forums that are ready to link to me if I can show them some useful content. How do I find these websites first? Please help! Cheers! Arjun
