What's the best practice for submitting to YouTube?

Hi all, I'm looking to start having video on my website and have chosen YouTube to host. But what I am asking is "what is the best practice for submitting a video to YouTube". I would have thought that having a transcript would be good, as this will explain what is in the video, a good title to indicate the subject and then just a few keywords/tags for what I believe the audience would be searching for to find my video. Is this the best practice? Or am I totally wrong? Any help would be appreciated

Youtube Views
We have a Youtube channel that has a 7+ years of history and a bunch of views. With that said they are not tagged or described very well on youtube. For business reasons, we are considering creating a new Google/Youtube account, then moving the videos to the new account and properly tagging. Why does YouTube NOT appear in my backlinks?
Hello, I am looking through my backlinks in OSE and i have noticed that there are no inbound links from YouTube. I absolutely have a Youtube account that has links to my social profiles as well as my website, and all of my videos have links to inner pages of my site. Still, no links shown from Youtube. Here is my YouTube page, http://www.youtube.com/user/simplastics ... Any idea why I don't see any inbound links from either my profile page or the individual videos? Thanks!

Best Video Sitemap plugin for wordpress? And do I need both a video sitemap and a normal one?
Hi all, I currently use the Google XML Sitemaps plugin on my wordpress site. But we've recently began adding (self-hosted) videos that we've been careful to markup with the relevant schema. However, there's a couple of things I don't understand and am hoping someone could help: Do we need a separate video sitemap that either works alongside Google XML Sitemaps or replaces it? If we do need a video sitemap, what's the best video site map to get? (we are using the Thesis theme so can't use the Yoast one unfortunately as they don't play nice together...) Practice Name vs. Dr. Name in Local Search
I wanted to get some opinions on an interesting situation for local search. Many doctors and dentists are found in one of two ways online: Their name and title, e.g. Dr. James A. Smith, MD Their practice name, e.g Smith Plastic Surgery, P.C Often sites like Healthgrades are providing data on the doctor him or herself, and the information can be tough to switch out. At the same time, there's a tendancy on the Dr's part to want to be listed as their practice name. Their site is often set up that way. How are you handling this kind of setup? Have you found a way to reliably associate (and format) a practice and doctor's name in a listing, in such a way that doesn't violate Google's quality guidelines? I know the drill for handling a doctor within a hospital, but this is a slightly different situation...

What is more relevante, host my video and embed with HTML5 (and offer an option for user go to youtube) or embed a video from my youtube channel directly?
