VSEO - Is backlinks help youtube video to rank well??

hey,

I made a test & got backlinks to 2 youtube videos of mine and saw what should happening in next few days..but nothing got! I didn't get update or change in my videos even if the keywords are low competitions..

but when I read many posts & experts say that getting backlinks to your youtube video or VSEO count by google and we should doing it!

the only way I've found to improve your youtube video ranking in google is to add it in blog & use video sitemap!

but I'm also use video to direct affiliate link & there where I think backlinks should work to help me.

I would to know from your experience is that worth to do or not or if backlinks for youtube are link ping we should do it directly when we upload video?

PS: any info or idea you've it can be a very helpful solution for all!

Unusual Google+ Local listing ranking well

If you search for locksmith Phoenix, this Google+ page is ranked #3 in the local results: https://plus.google.com/117543374216451236579/about?hl=en The phone number is a VOIP number, they don't appear to have many/any citations, no reviews, etc. They've listed the Yelp search results page as their website. Strange. How are they ranking so well? Is Google ranking them well because it's associating them with Yelp.com? Any thoughts?

Improve rankings for keywords...you can't display!

Hey, I've read the art of seo (great book!) as well as numerous publications and blogs, forums, etc., but i cannot quite figure that. We are trying to improve the ranking for a website. Now, our partners don't want to tarnish their image, so we cannot use certain keywords, that we need to rank for (i.e. the users are looking for). With meta keywords being dead, what are the ways we can optimize for these keywords not being conspicuous? All onpage efforts seem vain. To be more concrete, let's say your site is selling widgets from brands A, B and C, and users will look for "widgets" in search engines, but A, B, and C don't want that you advertise/display "widgets" on your site, as it might hurt their brand image. Hos do you do that?!

Video Transcription

Does anyone have any best practices for video transcription strategy. We download the file at youtube, edit it, remove the time and upload it again, where youtube adds the time according to the edited file I've seen some transcripts under the video section that have not time on that? Does anyone know how that's done? I've also seen keywords added into those? Any recommendations around that. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I've trying to make one specific page of my personal blog more relevant, and today i recorder a video to improve my content. What is more relevante, host my video and embed with HTML5 (and offer an option for user go to youtube) or embed a video from my youtube channel directly? How Do I Know My Videos Are Indexed?

Hey Mozzers, Ive followed a few tutorials around the web and created a video sitemap and submitted it to GWT. The results were that 7 videos submitted and only 1 indexed. I cant view this information any deeply. However, if I go to videos.googlecom and conduct a site:domain.com, I can actually see that all 7 of my videos appear as results. If I then go back to universal search and search for the exact match title of the video along with site:domain.com, the page appear perfectly but without the Video thumbnail. Are my videos indexed? If yes, why are my thumbnails not showing? Thanks in advance.

Video xml sitemap: how to build with 1000 videos on your site?

Hey Mozzers, We have a vacation rental site where every property has its own video of the property. (i.e. YouTube embedded video) So, with more than 1000 homes, how do you make a video xml map? Or, should we have an xml map with 1000 links on it? Can't wait to see your insights!
