"Linking Root Domains" Authority 100 ?
-
In All of my competiitors appears Wordpress.com, google.com, w3.org, yahoo.com
and all of them have Domain Auth. 100. How is it possible?
And how can in get links from domains like thath.

I can back up Nakul's answer: When checking out a competitors backlink profile: don't be blinded by backlinks coming from a high DA website. It might look impressive, but most of the time the links are worthless (e.g. a link in the comments of a blogpost, completely unrelated content-wise). Services like Open Site Explorer remain just a tool, and DA/PA just a statistic.

I would recommend to look at Page Authority as well in those scenarios. It's not always accurate to just use domain authority. A domain maybe very powerful, and a link from that domain is helpful. However if the page is not that powerful, it's still a good link in most cases, but not all, EG the wordpress.com example.
On Wordpress.com, anybody can setup a blog like yourname.wordpress.com but even though the DA for wordpress.com is 100, yourname.wordpress.com might be nothing/minimal. So from the 4 examples you gave, this is the only one where you have to look at page authority. On the other 3 examples, it really is more research as to what exact page the link is on and what you can do to gain a similar link.
I hope this helps.

My competitor's sneaky link building technique
Hi, I can't figure out how my competitor seems to fit four invisible nav menus into her home page. If you view her page source and type "/about" for example, it shows five examples of the text linking to her "about" page. But four of them can't be located on the web page (they are hidden). How does she do this? She basically has four duplicate links that are counted for SEO but can't be seen on the webpage. address: http:// camilla peffer.com. au/ Any ideas?

How can I estimate annual traffic for this deep link?
I need to estimate the traffic patterns for the last year at a minimum...preferably 2 or 3 years for this deep link: http://www.amazon.com/Boating-Water-Sports-Outdoors/b/ref=sa_menu_btwt?ie=UTF8&node=3421331 I have ran a url comparison in open site explorer against amazon.com but want to put some traffic estimates around this. Is there a tool in moz to do this?

Ranking and Domain/Page Authority
I'm not seeing a very good correlation between ranking and domain/page authority. Am I missing something here? ie., 2nd raning at 1/0. Also seeing competitor as "12" domain authority in "competitive domain analysis", but shows much higher here for same competitor? <colgroup><col width="94"> <col width="171"> <col width="108"></colgroup>

Slight keyword variation domain name
I have recently changed a clients domain name from a long (23 characters) to a shorter domain name that has a keyword plus a single character variation. For example and without revealing the clients real domain name, let say they are in housing. Ithe first letter in the company name is "p" so i created the doamin name as www.phousing.com It has only been two days since i submitted the new domain name and did a 301 redirect to the new page. When i do a google search i get back the result: housing.com and "did you mean housing.com Will this domain name cause me problems? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Subdomain vs Root Domain Metrics
My site has everything in the root - test.com. www.test.com is redirected to test.com and all content is in the root; there are no subdomains. So I'm completely confused as to how the mozrank and moztrust are different. They have the same number of links yet: Subdomain: MozRank - 3.72
Competitive Research | | Optimise
MozTrust - 3.23 Root Domain: MozRank - 3.05
MozTrust - 2.79 This seems consistent with all my competitors too so just wondered if someone could explain why the root domain is usually/often lower? Surely the root domain numbers should always be equal to or higher than the subdomain?0 -
How much do internal links help?
So I noticed in Site Explorer that my competitors mostly have internal links all over point to a page with the term I want to rank for, while very little external links. How much do internal links help? Should I have a link somewhere on every page pointing to my target page with the keyword, and then grab some external links? I link internally only when I see relevant, but maybe I'm not doing it enough. Looking forward to replies!

Important link building question for me!
Hi, When building backlinks how important is the location of where the website resides? For example, if I was targeting a search term in Google UK, will link building from websites hosted on UK servers have a higher positive impact on rankings then building links from websites hosted on US servers? Lets say in the above UK hosted is better, what if you have 2 websites hosted in the UK but one with .com and one with .co.uk, I take it from a domain point of view the .co.uk will have a better impact on SERP's then the .com. Now looking at the above from a more wider scale lets say I have the following: A .co.uk website aimed at a search term in Google UK. Example: 1. 100 backlinks from websites hosted in the US with .com extension. 2. 100 backlinks from websites hosted in the UK with .co.uk extension. Is it a FACT that number 2 will 100% be more beneficial in UK rankings? Cheers
