Modal Windows SEO
-
The new company site is almost finished, and I've just learned that instead of the home page linking to a few internal pages (it's a tiny site), they are just using modal windows instead of deeper pages. Is that bad for SEO and what can I do to optimize with this setup?
-
I ran into this situation a few years ago. We set up inner pages with the modal content anyway and loaded the content via ajax. For users without javascript it would gracefully degrade. Who doesn't have javascript right? Well, Google crawlers for one. The additional pages won't hurt you. You can craft this so it's a transparent process for the end-user.
If you're in a competitive market and you only have the single page it will be extremely difficult to compete with other sites that are pushing new content and consistently expanding their web presence.

Will it make any seo impact if there is not any Content available in Mobile responsive site
If we will not show our existing content(Available for desktop views) on product listing page in Mobile responsive site, will it make any difference/impact from seo point of view? Mostly people don't read content in product listing pages and we place content mostly for seo point of view. So intentionaly we don't want to show our content in mobile view bcz it may distract users. As per my knowledge google using same ranking algorithm for both desktop and mobile. So I want to know will it make any impact from ranking and other seo factors?

Homepage SEO
Hi I have designed my site with about 10 pages which focus on my main keywords. My question is what should I do about the homepage? Do I focus on a keyword on just my brand name? The homepage is a showcase of all my services and a bit about us. Thanks

Wordpress SEo Plug In
Hi, I am researching SEO plug ins for Wordpress - WordpressSEO by Yoast and All-In-One SEO Pack - and I have a question about implementation: In general, what is the impact these plug ins have on blogs with a large archives? Will they make any changes to old posts that may break incoming links or require me to go back and make edits to each of the old posts? Also, the main thing I want to do is allow for custom total tags. Is there another way to get this functionality? Or should I stick with a plug in because of all the other SEO benefits? Thanks

Seo'ing Sub domains for images
We are currently adding some performance improvement to our websites, to improve user experience. One of the things we are looking at is splitting of images over several sub-domains, to increase the number of images that can be downloaded at the same. We have seen that using key phrases within image names has an improvement in rankings. So, the question is should we create sub-domains as key-phrase.example.co.uk or as i1.example.co.uk? K

Adding dynamic item to static page - good for SEO?
We have a static page we want to rank for a competitive phrase. Would it help, or would it make little to no difference, if we added a small dynamic item to the page so that each time the googlebot visited the page it wouldn't be 100% the same as the last time it visited? The reason to do this would be because of the belief that Google likes pages that update once in a while. The dynamic portion of the page wouldn't be as simple as a page counter, but it wouldn't be very elaborate either. A tiny portion of the page. Think of something like current temperature or current CPU utilization (it won't be that, but it will be a small updating number that is not incrementing like current time or a page counter). Would that make any difference at all? (I know there will be responses that I should add real updating data to the page to make it dynamic; let's take that one off the table for right now --trying to see if there's something I can do that is simpler for now). Thanks.

Another SEO's point of view
Hiya fellow SEO's I have been working on a site - www.hplmotors.co.uk and I must say it has become difficult due to flaws with the content management system . We are speaking with the web site makers to be able to add a unique title, description to all pages. I know what is wrong but I would also like some 2nd opinions on this and welcome any suggestions for the site. A burnt out seo 🙂 thanks
