Example of a service site using 100% white hat tactics in a competitive niche
-
Could someone show me an example of a service site that is using 100% content generation/brand building tactics in a boring niche? such as plumbing/electrical/movers, etc. All I see are paid nav/footer links, profile spam, directory submissions etc ranking in every niche. I'm looking for a specific example. Any site will do.

That's a pretty amazing example of using locally sourced content to create unique pages for each city/state and to build local trust.

I'd also check out Meathead Movers at http://www.meatheadmovers.com/. I can't speak for all of their tactics, but I know one thing they do is create local content for many of their areas. For example, the Santa Maria page (which is my hometown) http://www.meatheadmovers.com/movers/santa-maria.aspx includes a video they shot about Santa Maria style BBQ, information about the city in their own words, resources, etc.
They sponsor local athletics, especially at Cal Poly, and also work with the battered women's shelters to help move women out of bad situations for free. I don't know if they get any links from this, but it's something that they could go after that would be very natural.
I'm not affiliated with them, beyond using them as a case study for a blog post and talk about negative keywords earlier this year, and having read about them in the local paper when I still lived in the area.

A lot of blogs use wordpress or blogspot, are these blogs still useful for SEO in terms of linkbuilding, or should they be avoided?
I am very new to linkbuilding and SEO as a whole, so please forgive my ignorance. Reaching out to bloggers is a common tactic, but I've found a lot of people tend to blog with the assistance of wordpress or blogspot. I was wondering whether these blogs are still useful for SEO or if it is best to avoid them? Thanks in advance, Lewis

Has anyone used seolinkvine
Has anyone used seolinkvine? They talk about it being very good but sometimes too good to be true with these prices. It seems legit and simple but obviously results will vary for everyone.

Feedback on Link Removal Services
Hi Guys, Not looking for a debate on whether or not to use link removal services (linkdelete.com, deletebacklinks.com etc), I'm just interested in hearing any feedback you may have after having used one. What was your experience with the service? Do you believe it helped you recover from a penalty? Cheers.

Are you using ArticleBase.com for link building?
I'm digging my way through my competitors' link profiles on OSE and came across one that had been using a site called ArticleBase.com Apparently you can publish articles for free and browse other published articles for usage on your own site (provided you follow their TOS). It actually seems like a nifty idea. I'm wondering if anyone has utilized this site for re-publishing content and building external links. Worth the effort? Thanks!
