Bringing a Google+ business page and a Google+ Local (Places) page together

We have a Google+ business page @ <cite>https://plus.google.com/105699067779457680386</cite> (therefore the managers of that page log in with their personal Google accounts to use Google+ as the business page). We had/have a Google Places listing tied to our company Google account, and that does show up in Google+ Local.
I simply would like to marry the two so they can live together in perfect harmony. But that does not seem straightforward at all.
If I'm logged in with our company Google account, I am asked to "join" Google+, but I don't want our company to be a "person" on Google Plus (just a Business Page).
If I'm logged in with my personal Google account, and switch to using Google+ as our business page, and then click to claim/edit our Google+ Local listing, that doesn't work because I'm not logged in under our corporate Google account.
It's an Internet mystery. Mozzers, assemble!

Empathize with the confusion on this. Here is my understanding of how this works: if you've got a separate Google+ Local Business page and Place Page right now, you've got to manage them separately for the moment. Eventually, they will merge. Hang in there!

My understanding of the changeover Google is enforcing of Google Places -> Google+ pages is that they are automatically switching them over, but over a period of time.
You're right to not create a business 'person' account in Google+ because that goes against their guidelines. So for now, work with the two solutions and if it hasn't changed over in a week or two, maybe contact the Places Team directly.
Oh and Google historically have not made anything straightforward on the Google Places side of things, so I would just say have a bit of patience marrying up your Google services

Google Play rankings?
Hi everyone, I've spent the last hour or two googling information on Google Play app rankings, and a few websites mention that standard pagerank of the app page is taken into account when calculating rankings. This seems to make sense, though I'd estimate it's probably not a large factor, with daily downloads being a much higher factor IMO. So my question is, how much of a factor does standard link-building for a Google Play app webpage have in the rankings?. We're trying to increase exposure of an app we've built (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.onedirection), and though we seem to have more downloads, reviews and +1's than others, we seem to be ranking beneath them. Is it worth setting up a Google Plus page for your blog?
Hi All, OK we all know the merit in G+, Authorship etc. I'm a regular user on G+ and I work hard to keep my profile up to date and with fresh content. I have no doubt my increased number of followers has helped my blog rank (which my G+ account is linked to). My question is - is there any merit at all in setting up a separate page for my blog so I can get +1s for it (probably very few). Much like any company page that gets +1s and people to follow that company. Or is this just plain silly and I should concentrate on building my personal profile? Thanks

Hi Have just read an inspiring post by Cyrus @ www.seomoz.org/blog/tips-to-use-google-for-seo But before I ask my existing social media contacts and email lists who have a Google account to +1 my site, what offers most benefit from a search visibility perspective? Should I ask my contacts to +1 my homepage (there is a +1 button on there) or Click on the +1 button on my businesses Google+ page and also ask them to join my circles? Hope this makes sense?
