For better SEO I understand I should be using Google+, but under what identity?
-
It appears one way to rank more highly is by using Google+. But should I start to build a community myself or as my company?
I have a good Twitter following under my own name, which links to my company page and a facebook page (for my business).
I much prefer to be a face on social media than hide behing a logo, but am faced with a dilemma and not sure where to begin: Will Google recognise the relationship between me and my business if I set up an account under my own name?
Primarily it's my business I want to promote, so from an seo perspective it seems should I use Google+ as my business, but I really dislike 'corporate' social media?

Be transparent, be yourself, and gain influence. Otherwise, suck at everything.

I have a Plus page for my company, I don't use it but wanted to capture it. I use my face, and my personality to brand. I do the same thing on FB and Twitter as well. Having "company" profiles for all of them, I rarely actually use them.
I think you answered your own question

From the sounds of your explanation you are the business. You may be "doing business as" a name but your customers and future customers are purchasing your services because of you. I have seen a lot of people claiming their Google+ business page and using it in a tactical way but very personal as well. It's going to be a different strategy but can still be very personal.
I don't know Google personally but... (a little joke there) I can only assume with the new rel="author" and rel="me" tags and all the connecting of Google's infrastructure that it understands people are becoming the face of their companies.
I would recommend claiming your social network identity for "branding" and creating a strategy around it. Begin posting strictly business news to Google+ page and only referencing it. Same thing with Facebook and Twitter. Claim your brand identity, use the networks intentionally but keep your own personal pages so that you become the authority of your market AND your brand.
At least that's what I'm trying to do.

I understand Authorship is Dead, but here's a question on the Google+ Profile
I guest write for some blogs, as well as several blogs I manage myself. What is the correct usage of the "Contributor to" field and the "Links" field? Contributor to: The overall blog itself and; Links: To individual blog posts themselves? Or the reverse? Thank you!

Separate Google+ page per blog language?
Our corporate blog is currently online in four different languages (English, Dutch, German and French): blog.com blog.be blog.fr blog.de For these different blogging domains we have one single Google+ page on which we share the blogs' content in different languages. Would it be better to make four separate Google+ pages (per blogging domain)? What would be the advantages/disadvantages? Also, each article is posted in four different languages. But the author stays the same for all different languages. So one author always posts content in English, Dutch, German and French. Could Google consider this as spam?

Gain Access to Google+ Profile
We are having trouble accessing a Google+ profile for a client. We know the profile we want to gain access to, but the client doesn't remember the email or password. The marketing company they worked with before also doesn't know what the email or password is to claim the profile. We have tried contacting Google to gain access to the email, but they were unable to give us the login email due to privacy issues. If you have any suggestions to gain access to this profile, it is greatly appreciated. Please take in mind the following: We do not know the email nor have access to obtaining it We do know the profile we want to gain access to

Google+ for Business
Google+ has thrown a bit of a monkey wrench into my SEO plans. Over the last few weeks, Google+ listings started showing up in the SERPs for my money keywords. The good news is that once we launch our new site, we have a good chance of getting into the Google+ 7 packs. The bad news is that SEO on a national level just got tougher with the local Google+ listings crowding natural listings down the page. Questions: 1. How does Google+ determine who goes into the 7 pack?
Social Media | | CsmBill
2. Is there always a 7 Pack? Can there only be a 4 pack?
3. I see Google+ listings for companies that don't have a Google+ page. How is that possible?
4. Through my keyword research, I have about 20 keywords that are triggering Google+ listings in the SERPs. Some SERPs are only showing 2-4 G+ listings. Is it safe to assume that this is because no one has put those keywords in their Google+ description, and hasn't optimized for those words on their site?0 -

Anyone do SEO for facebook business pages? I'm having trouble with timeline layout.
I am working on my facebook business page and am frustrated with the new "timeline" facebook layout which really does not make sense as a business page. I have not found a way to change it to a traditional layout and have read some posts that said facebook does not allow you to go back from timeline. Does anyone have a good layout suggestions for a facebook business page with SEO in mind? Thanks.

Is there any SEO benefit to hosting your Facebook photos on your own site?
I will often post photos that I have taken to my Facebook page (either personal or my fan page). Sometimes these can get lots of likes. I got thinking that perhaps I host these photos on my site (i.e. www.example.com/images/photo1.jpg) and then share that "page" on Facebook. That way any of the likes would be counted towards my site. What do you guys think?
