Website not appearing anywhere on google
-
Hello, we launched www.comparetravel.ie in June but it is not showing up on google search, we have submitted it to google twice but still no sign of our site.
I thought it would at least show up for the "Compare Travel" search term, it only shows up when you type the full website address into google. Any ideas on what we are doing wrong?
Alll advice greatly appreciated. (The website is Irish based)
Thanks
P

Google knows it's there, there is no need to re-submit for indexing.

I suggest you start with the basics. Work on keyword optimizing the content of your website, and then building links where you can.
All the best.

Have you been doing link building? My sites seem to get indexed straight away....

There is not one instance of "compare travel" on your homepage.
Doing this is the best way to assure that your site will NEVER rank for "compare travel"

Also, it's only a 11 page site with poor SEO, it takes more to rank for a moderately competitive keyword than having it in your domain name.
FYI, pull your CSS code out of the body of your page and reference it in an include file.

Hi,
I understand that "Compare Travel" is your brand, but I would think, that would be at least a moderately competitive keyword, so just existing would not dictate a high position. (until you establish yourself as the "brand" compare travel - which is tough, cause compare travel to what and how?
I also, am not sure that "Compare Travel" would be interpreted as a brand signal, right off the bat either.

This just seems like a list of keywords, with your "Brand" thrown in (you even have a similar keyword to "Compare Travel" in your title, not helping your Brand Distinction (in my opinion)

I have a similar situation with my website. I have submitted it to Google once in Webmaster Toolsbut it only appears when you enter the URL ....a brand name search doesnt dictate a position in the SERPs.
Its been live for around 2 months now. Im sure most answers will be to be patient...but its hard! Relying on PPC for brand searches at the moment which isnt ideal.

HTTPS websites in Directories
Hi Everyone, Whilst trying to submit some client sites to directories we have been struggling to post any of our clients sites that use the HTTPS protocol. When trying to submit they usually come up with an error stating that the website could not be found etc. It doesn't accept it if I remove the HTTPS or replace it with the HTTP version either. Any ideas, or has anyone else had any issues with this? Couldn't find much information about it online anywhere. Thanks 🙂

1000 of links on my website ? is it good or bad
Hi guys my site: www.dorchdanola-netbutik.dk is a e-commerce store, and generally we have many links on all pages because of the many products and categories. Im not sure if this is actually bad or good? I've been told that it will definately harm my site when google crawls it. The thing is that google visit my site often and I still have good pageranks in google. So does it actually harm my site having all these products and categories? And what can I do about it if google see every page as duplicate content? I also link to my social pages like FB, G+, e.g. Should I put rel="nofollow" or rel="me" on these social links? Thanks guys!

How might Google differentiate between an artificial link exchange and partners linking to each other?
Hi, All! Artificial link exchanges (contacting a vaguely connected site and requesting to exchange links to increase your PR) is, as far as I know, considered an outdated, not-so-smart technique, as Google might devalue them. Yet, for real business partners to exchange links seems to be an entirely accepted and encouraged technique. While that would be intuitive to a human who's viewing the pages. how might Google detect when two sites that link to each other are linking because they are trusted business associates (valuable) as opposed to when they are doing a link exchange (devalued)? Thanks! Aviva

Is backlinkbuild.com considered against Google policy?
I guess it IS buying links, but I have read many reviews saying they are ok (Which might just be part of thier network of sites :)) It seems like cheating, but they say they do the leg work, that it's not just automatic junk links. Any experience with them? Thank you!
