Best way to get my Blog traffic
-
I've recently began blogging on my site. The content is all unique and useful and written properly without keyword stuffing...
My question is, how do i go about getting people to see the blog (getting traffic to it) so that it can get linked to. I've created content that i believe people will naturally link to, the only problem is they're not finding my blog.
Any advice on how to get my blog out into the world?!
thanks

The only thing I add to the comments already made is, give it some time. It can take a couple years sometimes to get a good amount of blog traffic. Just keep writing and over time visitors will come. Don't give up!

Here is the low-hanging fruit.
Tweet about your best post... share it on FB. Ask your mum to link to it from her FB and blog.
If it is really good content, one of them might share it along to their friends or post it to reddit or slashdot.

Outreach. Post to your social media accounts. Try and get re-tweets, maybe areas such as social bookmarking and reaching out to other bloggers who might mention your article (if it is worth it to them)
You can't always expect people to come your way, sometimes you have to go after them and be pro-active.

Another website copying our blog content but credit us. Still bad?
Hi Moz community, A few businesses that we work with are asking if they can leverage our content such as blogs by basically copying it and post it on their site. They will give us credit for the content though. My concern is that going to cause duplicate content issue and hurt us with our SEO? We'd like to provide it to them in a way that would benefit us or at least doesn't hurt us. I can think of a few possible options... 1. Have them only copy part of the content and link back to our site with a link "Read the original article" or something similar 2. Have them implement rel=canonical back to our site 3. Have them just copy the whole thing (because it doesn't really hurt us?). In that case, do we have them link back to us or no? Is there anything I missed? What's the best option for us? Thank you for the help in advance!

Blogs, blogspot, tumblr etc
We currently have our own wordpress blog on our site using wordpress, is it worth while having others such as blogspot, tumblr etc for seo purposes? Or would I be wasting my time and efforts?

How to Get Rid of Duplicate Content Captured on Article Lists
We have a ton of articles and blog posts on our site. Currently, we display summary lists of articles that contain the first paragraph of the article in the summary list. However, in my reports, this is coming back as duplicate content with the full article itself. How do I fix this? Ex: article main page- http://www.robots.com/articles/10 First article on that page- http://www.robots.com/articles/viewing/grippers-for-robots (which shows up as duplicate content with the main artilce page). With our blogs, we have the most recent 5 blogs (in the same summary format) listed on our main blog page. We then have categories that people can sort by. But again, this is causing us duplicate content because those pages show the first paragraph of the blogs related to that category. Ex: blog main page- http://www.robots.com/blog. First blog listed on that page- http://www.robots.com/blog/viewing/robots-and-automation-bringing-jobs-back-to-the-united-states (which then shows as duplicate content with the main blog page). And then you can also select categories to see related topics: http://www.robots.com/blog/category/buying-a-robot which is showing as duplicate content also. Help! How can I prevent this? Thanks! Blog Categories
I am working on redoing my blog and there are many posts that fit into two categories. Should I keep them in only one? or place them in both? For example- Category 1 - Gucci Category 2 - Shirts Should a post about "Gucci shirts" go in both places or only the "Gucci" category and the "shirts" category would then only include posts about my more minor brands. Thanks!

Should I publish several blog posts at once or stagger?
I have several blog posts that I want to publish (40 or so). For freshness is it better to stagger their publication over several months or is it fine to publish them all at the same time. The comments are closed.

Blog Anchor Text SEO Query
Apologies if the following is a basic question but I am just starting out with SEO and I have seen this quite a lot recently on sites I have been on. My question is if you have a self hosted blog e.g. blog.site.com or site.com/blog and you use keyword anchor text in your blog post does that bring SEO benefits in itself or does the blog post have to be shared/commented by readers to have an effect? I have seen/heard of many sites spending a lot of money getting copy done or spending their own time and resources starting a blog but the blogs remain unshared or comment-less. I am starting my own blog to go with my social media and website so I wanted to establish the basics. Thanks in advance guys.

Sub Domains or Multiple Domains? Which is a better way to go for blogs?
We just can’t decide what the answer is, particularly from an SEO perspective. We want to run multiple blogs on different categories, please assist on deciding should we go with different blog domains or create subdomains for each category.

Are you sure moving a wordpress blog to a main website is a good idea?
Sorry to ask this question again but I left out some background info...... My blog sits at www.gardenbeet.wordpress.com I have been using the blog as my main linking page for my main website at www.gardenbeet.com - the blog links to relevant sites in both blog articles and on the side of the blog. The blog links to industry websites that in turn link to my main website at www.gardenbeet.com. If I was to move the wordpress blog to my own domain will my mainwebsite loose its strength. Will all those blog links pour my link juice out of my website? Will the current three way links become two way links and thereby lesson their linking importance? Is the previous recommendation (combine the blog and the main website) still the best course of action? Should I keep the two sites or perhaps close entries on the existing blog and start another on my own domain? thanks for your time AGAIN
