Have you seen Phishing scam around WhoIs data?

Got an email this morning on a domain that is not privacy protected. (One of mine that I own significant extensions for).
I am attaching the email and the link. The thing did not throw me off because I know where all is and it had nothing identifiable, but to those with a domain and they want to keep it, this has to have some real chance of taking some peoples money.
The domain you land on is SecureTrans32456.com/order/.........
Just keeping the world alert...

Just amazing how people must be in the industry in some way or they are just lambs for these guys. I can understand how someone who is not used to what all we deal with would just go, oh yeah, gotta renew.....
When I am uber rich I am going to hire a bunch of the best devs in the world so that we can develop mind numbing bot worms that seek out and pee on these guys while they sleep...

I liked that EGOL, I did not catch it at all.

I got one of these PCI notices. It grabbed my attention... I was fooled for a moment but didn't click their link.
Weasels are getting smarter all of the time following Charles Darwin's theory.

We got similar notices about SSL certs needing renewed, PCI compliance needing purchased and more recently PCI complaint certification needing filled out. All phishing attempts trying to scam.
The one company for the pci compliance seemed like a legit company that somehow got roped into a very "used cars" sales tactic. (SecurityMetrics) trying to scare you into using their service, and sounding like we were already their customer.
Sample:
"... We appreciate the opportunity to assist with your PCI compliance.
Your PCI compliance service with SecurityMetrics has expired. It is our
understanding that this will result in your merchant processor charging
a monthly non-compliance fee ranging from $19.95-$39.95 for each merchant
account that is not PCI compliant. We understand that you will be charged
this fee for each merchant ID that is not compliant by the 25th of each
month."

ha ha... they are Phishing for Robert Pfisher.
They should only catch suckers with a $75 renewal price.
If they were smart they would charge $7 and grab your CC data.

So, does performing dozens or hundreds of search queries a day dilute your search console data, or does google filter this out or how does this work exactly? When you do an icognito search and click on your site does this information get recorded in search console?

Submitting url to link directories seen as un-natural link building?
Hi I have been a lurker for a long time, so I finally took the step to make my 1st post, and will hopefully start giving back more in the future since I have gained invaluable info from this great site Background I hired a new freelancer on our team of SEO consultants ("specialists") During the course a month he (the new consultant) submitted our website to numerous link directories (he assured me this is good), today I received the report of the work he had been doing for the past 4-weeks. I opened the report and I was furious and wanted to sack him there and then The Problem / My Question He had submitted our website to 150 directories with various levels of page rank, ranging from 7-1. Most of the directories are totally irrelevant to our niche (we are in the catering business) and he had gone and submitted the site to directories such as "finance busters", "questfinder" etc For all 150 submissions he used: exactly the same url exactly the same title exactly the same description exactly the same keywords My Concern Am I right to be worried about this? Or am I completely wrong and may this actually have an effect (even if none)? The way I see it is that Google is seeing 150 duplicate links coming from irrelevant directories all within a months time, which will trigger a red flag and possibly do major damage to my site, which has always been strictly white hat and been doing pretty well. p.s does link directory submissions even count these days anyway? Thanks for reading and advice very much welcome

Has anyone seen this kind of google cache spam before?
Has anyone seen this kind of 'hack'? When looking at a site recently I found the Google cache version (from 28 Oct) strewn with mentions of all sorts of dodgy looking pharma products but the site itself looked fine. The site itself is www.istc.org.uk Looking in the source of the pages you can see the home pages contains: Browsing as googlebot showed me an empty page (though msnbot etc. returned a 'normal' non-pharma page). As a mildly amusing aside - when I tried to tell the istc about this, the person answering the phone clearly didn't believe me and couldn't get me off the line fast enough! Needless to say they haven't fixed it a week after being told.

Ever seen a black hat SEO hack this sneaky?
A friend pointed out to me that a University site had been hacked and used to gain top Google rankings. But it was cloaked so that most users wouldn't notice the hack. Only Googlebot and visitors from Google SERPs for the spam keywords would see a hacked version. See http://www.rypmarketing.com/blog/122-how-hackers-gained-an-easy-1-google-ranking-using-a-university-website.whtml (my blog) for screenshot and specifics. I've dealt with hacks before, but nothing this evil and sneaky. Ever seen anything like this? This is not our client, but was just curious if others had seen a hack like this before.
