Blog Ranking NOT home page main website?!

Hi,
Our Blog (http://blog.thailand-investigation.com) is ranking for some of our major keywords but not our home page (http://www.thailand-investigation.com)!?
Our blog is WordPress and our main website is HTML.
It seems like the search engines consider that they are 2 separate websites!? When I check the incoming links to our website, I get also the blog links!!!??? Is it normal?
Do I have to build a relation of some kind or write some code saying that it is our Blog... I don't know!
I'm not a SEO specialist or even a webmaster. I'm a small business owner and take care on my website. I created by myself but never learned! So, please help!

OK... so you have a penguin problem too.
You may need a new site on a new domain.... or perhaps this one can be salvaged. I don't know. You need assistance from someone who can spend the time needed to understand your penguin problem and help you with the suggestions that I made above.
I don't think that you need an SEO who is going to put you on a program that will costs thousands of dollars per month. You need a consultant who can make a decision about your penguin problem, get your blog set-up properly and coach you through fixing the other problems.
If I was in your situation I would visit http://www.mytrafficdropped.com/ and consider hiring Marie Haynes for consultations.

HI Michel, as I understand things, a sub domain is classed as a separate site in Googles eyes

This site has lots of problems.
I don't know what terms you are trying to rank for... but... if this was my site I would...
-
remove the links page from the navigation and would probably delete it from the site
-
decide what is important and focus my homepage title tag on that (it is currently way too long, suffers from keyword stuffing, repetition, does not elicit clicks)

rewrite the homepage, eliminating the bold and color text from the paragraph copy
-
fix homepage canonical problems ("home" goes to index.htm)
-
blog is on a subdomain but the link in main navigation goes to index.php in a folder
-
move the blog into a folder
-
get rid of the tags in the blog
-
create alt attributes that support your keyword targets
-
develop a persistent navigation that directs visitors to your essential pages and employ that navigation on the main site and the blog
-
develop article content for each of your business services
All of that is from a quick look, there is probably a lot more that a detailed study would find and which I am unable to offer.
If you are getting business from this website I think that it would be worth the investment to have a professional SEO spend the time needed to learn about your business, determine the keyword targets that will attract business, help you get it optimized, and develop a content strategy. (I am not looking for a job, I only work on my own sites.)
The reason that I would hire someone is that it will get the job done right immediately and eliminate the loss of revenue that will occur while you are learning. Or, you can find an SEO who is willing to consult and coach you while you do the work yourself.

I just checked our website Sitemap (www.thailand-investigation.com/sitemap.xml) and realized that our blog is not mentioned!!!???

Hey guys, for some reason my homepage has gone down in rankings though other pages on my site have not.
This is not something I have ever seen before. The site is still indexed if I search for it directly, but not in top 100 rankings for keywords even though sub-pages are ranking for the given keyword. Changes I have made recently include site transfer to wordpress, force redirect http to https removal of www by redirect and adding new property instance in Google Search Console. Home Page Deindexed Only at Google after Recovering from Hack Attack
Hello, Facing a Strange issue, wordpress blog hghscience[dot]com was hacked by someone, when checked, I found index.php file was changed & it was showing some page with a hacked message, & also index.html file was added to the cpanel account.All pages were showing same message, when I found it, I replaced index.php to default wordpress index.php file & deleted index.htmlI could not find any other file which was looking suspicious. Site started working fine & it was also indexed but cached version was that hacked page. I used webmaster tool to fetch & render it as google bot & submitted for indexing. After that I noticed home page get deindexed by google. Rest all pages are indexing like before. Site was hacked around 30th July & I fixed it on 1st Aug. Since then home page is not getting indexed, I tried to fetch & index multiple time via google webmasters tool but no luck as of now. 1 More thing I Noticed, When I used info:mysite.com on google, its showing some other hacked site ( www.whatsmyreferer.com/ ) When Searching from India But when same info:mysite.com is searched from US a different hacked site is showing ( sigaretamogilev.by )However when I search "mysite.com" my site home page is appearing on google search but when I check cached URL its showing hacked sites mentioned above.As per my knowledge I checked all SEO Plugins, Codes of homepage, can't find anything which is not letting the homepage indexed.PS: webmaster tool has received no warning etc for penalty or malware. From page 1th to page 18th @ Google
Hello Mozzers! I have a question, you may help.. How may it be possible that a page ranking well (1th result) goes from 1th result to the 18th page just in 1 day? It doesnt seem to be any kind of penalization.. I now had all suspicious outgoing links to be nofollow (they were not before), this may be a cause .. (?) Do you have any other suggestion? Thanks

Moving content from CMS pages to a blog - 301 or rel canonical?
Our site has some useful information buried in out-of-the-way CMS pages, and I feel like this content is more suited to our blog. What's my best method here? 1. Move the content to a blog post, delete the original page, and 301. 2. Move the content to a blog post, leave the original page up, and rel canonical. 3. Rewrite the content so it's not a duplicate, keep original page up, and post rewritten content on the blog. 4. Something else. Some of this content has inbound links and some does not. Quite a bit of it gets long-tail traffic already. It just looks kludgy because it's on pages that really aren't designed for articles. It would look much nicer and be much more readable/shareable/linkable on the blog.

Page Rank gone - technical difficulty?
Hi all, after coming back from the holidays, I noticed that our PR (6 on the homepage) has vanished into "Unranked". All other sites are also "unranked". I tested other domains - PR still there, so the problem does not lie in the PR checker. There are no drops in traffic, rankings, no messages in the GWMT, the same numer of indexed pages, inbound links okay (all natural)... As you see, I checked everything I thought could be a hint to a solution, but found nothing... This goes on for the 3rd day now (after my holidays, maybe even longer). Home Page Not Ranking... Need an EXPERT
Hi, for about a year now, our home page seems to have been "removed" from Google (except for our branded keywords). The home page is clearly indexed, but none of the keywords for the home page rank in the top 500 (again, except for our brand, trophycentral). Other pages in the site are fine and we rank in the top 10 positions for hundreds of keywords. We are also okay on Yahoo and Bing. So the issue is the home page from non-branded words. There have been no manual penalties, but since the words, such as trophies and trophies and awards are all but gone, something is going on. It has been almost exactly a year now and I have tried everything from removing backlinks (although I still can't tell which are "bad links", to changing titles, to improving speed and structure. I have had quite a few really nice people try to help, but their suggestions don't seem to work or are too vague. I really need an expert as the impact to the business of not having a home page performing is very damaging. Thank you!!!
