Using display: none in h1 tag

Hello,
For the h1 tag on my landing page, I currently have 'Welcome to Edison Ford'.
I was thinking of adding the keyword I'm targeting (property maintenance bristol) to the h1 tag which would look like this 'Welcome to Edison Ford Property Maintenance Bristol'
Would it be a good idea to wrap the property maintenance bristol part in a span tag and add 'display: none;' to the styling?

Yeah, its better to ask then do something bad such as hidden content which google would not like in the slightest!

Of course, I didn't think it would be a good idea but there's no harm in asking the question, right?

Have you not read the basics about what google does NOT want you to do to manipulate rankings?
I'm quite sure showing bots and humans something different and hiding content are towards the top of the don't do list! And is something very basic you should know not to do already

I don't think it would be wise hiding any content in the header as you are essentially cloaking, so I would either have all your H1 visible or I wouldn't include the part that you are trying to hide from visitors. The likes of Google won't look very kindly on this in my opinion as it is not much better than putting some keywords in a white text on a white background, which the search engines cottoned on to years ago....

H2 tags always recommended? Or ok without?
Is it ok to have no h2 tags? There are no "keywords" relevant to the product in these example h2 tags. Also, is it ok to not have a PRODUCT DESCRIPTION header, or is it better with that header? It's for a "product page". Title Tag Change - Drop in Organic Placement?
I've been working on increasing CTR my changing the title tag & meta descriptions. Has anyone ever noticed a drop in organic SERPS from doing so? Even if CTR goes up? It seems to me that if the CTR goes up and user experience in that way is improved these changes should yield an increase in the average position. Would you agree? Thank you!!

Should I Use WooCommerce Tags & Attributes?
I'm helping an online furniture store search engine optimize a WooCommerce store and I'm trying to make sure our taxonomies make sense. I'd love any help you guys can give, but I'm particularly interested in determining whether we should use tags. Product attributes make sense to me, but I'm concerned to use tags because of the propensity for creating duplicate content. Thanks in advance for any help you guys are willing to give.

Use of '&' in meta title
Hi, I know that use of '&' would be helpful to save space and also add more keyword variation to the title tag. But just want to make sure if it matters if I use '&' in most of my title tags? And also is it common to use more than & in one title? Would the following title be different in Google's perspective regardless of the title length? I am thinking they are all targeting the keywords 'fruit cake' and 'fruit bread', but the first one is the best. buy fruit cake & bread buy fruit cake & fruit bread buy fruit cake and fruit bread Thanks in advance.

Google pulling in wrong title tag!
Has anyone else seen their title tag different in the SERPS to what you have called it in the <title>?? </p> <p>I work for MITIE and when you type in "facilities management" it shows our title tag as "<a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.mitie.com/services/strategic-outsourcing/integrated-facilities-management">Integrated <em>facilities management</em> - Mitie</a>" and it should be "<span>MITIE | Facilities management - Facilities management companies - Facility management UK" </span></p> <p><span>The only thing I can think of is that it's picking it from the H1 on the page but why it'd do that! Title Tag, Internal Categories, Long tail
Hello, For internal categories - those that are not in the main navigation - we're optimizing for the long tail. How do you optimize the title tag for the long tail? For example if the internal category is about Men's shoes -> "Adidas Crosstrainers" and you already have a page in the main navigation with "Adidas Crosstrainers" in the title, what kind of title do you use for the long tail category? These categories are usually for the convenience of the user. I assume they should each have at least 500 words in them to do the best long tail searches. Thanks.
