Indexation problem
-
Hello,
I have an online store specialized in offers and discounts (http://www.offertazo.com/) with an indexation problem. The products are not updated correctly. I think the problem is that when I publish a new offer, it doesn´t appear on the top of my page´s SERP. I would appreciate any suggestions. Best regwards.

Yes, search engines wont crawl a page indefinitely without finding content

Alan I agree with you 100% the json data needs to be put in they external JS file that way you will have much better flow when the bots come to crawl your site.

If you look at your source code and find this variable "availableLugares" it has a value that is so large that the search engine may not be reaching your content, I mean it is really large.
it looks like some json data, you should put it into a external js file

have it run through the http://www.domaintools.com/seo-browser/ it will show your if you're content is not being seen by the search engine. If there is a issue they see run your site through Google Webmaster tools https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
I would highly recommend looking at the you can receive buy running your site through the campaign tool here on SEOmoz
if you are concerned primarily about SERP I would use https://serps.com/
they have a 14 day trial it is a great tool.
I hope I have been of help to you,
Sincerely,
Thomas

No index for http version of website
Hi, I've had a message from Google search console to say the sitemap for the http version of my site is tagged as no index. As the https version is indexed, do I need to change the http version to be indexed as well? Do I need to keep the http version of the site in search console alongside the https version, or should I remove it? Advice appreciated!

Help, a certain directory is not being indexed
Before I start, dont expect this to be too easy. This really has me puzzled and am surprised I am still yet to find a solution for it. Get ready. We have a wordpress website, launched over 6 months ago and have never had an issue getting content such as pages and post pages and categories indexed. However, I some what recently (about 2 months ago) installed a directory plugin (Business Directory Plugin) which lists businesses via unique urls that are accesible from a sub folder. Its these business listings that I absolutely cannot get indexed. The index page to the directory which links to the business pages is indexed, however for some reason google is not indexing all the listing pages which are linked to from this page. Its not an issue of the content being uncrawlable or at least dont think so as when I run crawlers on my site such as xml sitemap crawlers it finds all the pages including the directory pages so I am sure its not an issue of the search engines not finding the content. I have created xml sitemaps and uploaded to webmaster tools, tools recongises that there are many pages in the xml sitemap but google continues to only index a small percentage (everything but my business listings). The directory has been there for about 8 weeks now so I know there is a issue as it should of been indexed by now. See our main website at www.smashrepairbid.com.au and the business directory index page at www.smashrepairbid.com.au/our-shops/ To throw in a curve ball, in looking into this issue and setting up tools we noticed a lot of 404 error pages (nearly 4,000). We were very confused where these were coming from as they were only being generated from search engines - humans could not access the 404s and so we are guessing se's were firing some javascript code to generate them or something else weird. We could see the 404s in the logs so we know they were legit but again feel it was only search engines, this was validated when we added some rules to robots.txt and we saw the errors in the logs stop. We put the rules in robots txt file to try and stop google from indexing the 404 pages as we could not find anyway to fix the site / code (no idea what is causing them). If you do a site search in google you will see all the pages that are omitted in the results. Since adding the rules to robots, our impressions shown through tools have jumped right up (increased by 5 times) so thought this was a good indication of improvement but still not getting the results we want. Does anyone have any clue whats going on or why google and other se's are not indexing this content? Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you need any other information to assist just ask me. Really appreciate anyone who can spare their time to help me, I sure do need it. Thanks.

Issues with Product Pages Getting Index In Google
I just started working here the other week and one of the big issue is that a lot of the product pages are not getting index in google. We have an xml.gz site map they submitted a long time ago. My guess is it might be something with not enough content on the pages? Here are a few example of pages that are not getting index in google. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/-/439/716/-/33097/Alpinestars-Dual-Motorcycle-Gloves http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/47/-/201/803/-/28948/Camelbak-Blowfish-2013 http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/46/-/203/836/-/6996/MSR-Head-Case http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/44/54/208/764/80/1220/Galfer-Brake-Pad-Sintered-Metal There are 100's that are not indexed just trying to figure out what we need to do! We are working on new content to them all but we have over 5000 products so it will take a long time. We also have the reviews on the pages and are looking at starting a Q&A on page to help get more unique content.

Does Google index dynamically generated content/headers, etc.?
To avoid dupe content, we are moving away from a model where we have 30,000 pages, each with a separate URL that looks like /prices/<product-name>/<city><state>, often with dupe content because the product overlaps from city to city, and it's hard to keep 30,000 pages unique, where sometimes the only distinction is the price & the city/state.</state></city></product-name> We are moving to a model with around 300 unique pages, where some of the info that used to be in the url will move to the page itself (headers, etc.) to cut down on dupe content on those unique 300 pages. My question is this. If we have 300 unique-content pages with unique URL's, and we then put some dynamic info (year, city, state) into the page itself, will Google index this dynamic content? The question behind this one is, how do we continue to rank for searches for that product in the city-state being searched without having that info in the URL? Any best practices we should know about?

Prevent indexing of dynamic content
Hi folks! I discovered bit of an issue with a client's site. Primarily, the site consists of static html pages, however, within one page (a car photo gallery), a line of php coding: dynamically generates a 100 or so pages comprising the photo gallery - all with the same page title and meta description. The photo gallery script resides in the /gallery folder, which I attempted to block via robots.txt - to no avail. My next step will be to include a: within the head section of the html page, but I am wondering if this will stop the bots dead in their tracks or will they still be able to pick-up on the pages generated by the call to the php script residing a bit further down on the page? Dino

Google indexing Internal Search Results
Greeting, Currently I have noticed that Google is starting to index our internal search page results. Should I block those pages in our robot txt file or have you ever heard of any websites that actually gained traffic or rank by letting Google index those pages? Thanks
