Does anyone know of a US or Canadian company that writes stellar content at good rates?

Looking to spend $10-$25/article on 125 articles.

500 words, unique content, linkbait

Link building has really become less important. It seems to be much more 10X content now. Loads of quality content but not getting links!! What should I do?

Hi I have been working hard and creating valuable content for 2 years now, we create a weekly news letter with around 10 articles and all our customers love it. But still we are unable to get links to our sites. There are no active bloggers or sites for our industry and content is highly technical and scientific. My competitors have thin content with bad links and they still rank better than us............. Please help me by answering the questions below - Should we start submissions to directories? If yes which directories should we submit to? What else can we do to build links?

When pitching a whitepaper as Push Content for Link Building, is it ok to give the person I'm pitching a link to a landing page with a form on it?

When pitching a whitepaper as Push Content for Link Building (i.e. pushing out content that my client has created), is it ok to give the person I'm pitching a link to a landing page with a form on it? Or should I create a landing page with the whitepaper included on it? I’m not sure if the client will be ok with this b/c I know they use the whitepaper for sales purposes to gain leads. For example, my pitch email would include a line such as this, "the whitepaper can be found at LINK and I'd love if you could share it with your readers." I think it may be weird/a little wrong to ask a webmaster to include a link on his site to a landing page with a form to get the whitepaper. Does this make sense? What have others done with whitepapers as Push Content for link building?

What type of interlinks are best from articles I write?

Hi everyone, I run a job board (job website) - www.hawaiijobengine.com - and on the homepage I have 50 job categories ("Accounting / Finance" is one another is "Admin / Clerical" etc). I write your typical 400 word article length, giving career insight. Questions: should I 70% of the time try to use exact keywords in the article and link to those categories and other 30% of links should be to more specific search terms like "accountant in CITY NAME". The 50 categories already have decent rankings already and those are the once I am trying to push higher. Obviously, I also want weaker pages (more specific search terms) to rank higher too. I am writing genuine and original content, it is just a matter off whether I should adjust my keyword focus. On average how many different interlinks from a 400 page article is acceptable. Range of 1-3, with 2 on average sounding about right? Most of the times I have only 1 or 2 interlinks from each article, but once in a while I want to link 6-7 places within the article. I don't know if that is appropriate. thank you, Kristian

I'm hiring a link building company - need help choosing

I asked this question before and got mixed feedback. Companies vs. Freelancers. Well I have a couple questions here. At a certain point it is definitely worth going in house, but what about the knowledge that we could gain from working with a big agency? Does that really add any value? Can I hire a freelancer and trust him as much as a big agency? or vice versa? Can I hire an agency and trust them as much as a freelancer? I have also been advised to make sure they offer competitive / site analysis as a first step, AND inform you of exactly how many links they plan to build per month, how much time they will dedicate to you and your account, expect turn around times, and light strategy details that they would likely use. Will Google penalize for redirects related to a company merger?

Company A is set to acquire Company B. As part of the merger agreement, Company A will be redirecting the linking domains of Company B's website (over 1,000 links) to company A's website. Will Google penalize Company A for redirecting Company B's 1,000 linking domains to Company A's website at one time? If so, would it be better for Company A to redirect Company B's 1,000 linking domains in waves?

Can I use canonical links outside of the head section?

I been implementing a Joomla site and my site has different ways of accessing several links therefore I need to use the canonical tag. Now I'm using Joomla 1.6, and most of the extensions that I've seen until now don't provide me the expected or they do other things that I just don't want. Therefore other than modifying the code or creating an extension myself I've decided to look into placing the canonical elements in the page.
