Copyscape premium fails to deliver- Concern and question
-
Recently i have been using Copyscape premium to check the outsourced worked, but on many times it didn't caught the duplicate/plagiarism contents.
One article run through copyscape get passed without any plagiarism and when i recheck the same article second time it caught plagiarism with five different sources. I am really concern about this, does some one else find this thing with copyscape?
Copyscape have set the content limit to 2000, but what is the ideal length to run through it?
I am also using palgium and grammarly for the same purpose. What other reliable alternatives are available to use?

I often feel like Copyscape was created by the owners of automated content spinners to falsely prove themselves legitimate. The place that I've seen it talked about, by far the most, is in any spammy blackhatworld.com or warriorforum.com offerings, talking about how they pass Copyscape.
You should find that quickly, Google is a much more accurate at understanding similar copy, if you paste a few lines into search and thumb through a few pages. I would never trust Copyscape alone. There are a number of reasons that it may be wrong; as there's definitely a lot to consider when analyzing copy.

My Question About SEO
I'm working on a new website and attempting to make it as efficient as possible. I've put it through a few scanners and have a few concerns. Is it true that having long titles is beneficial? My contact page, for example, is just titled contact, while my FAQ page is simply titled commonly asked questions. What about meta descriptions for each page? Do they still serve a purpose nowadays? Because my site title is a graphic header, having a big text title doesn't really suit with the style, the H1 tag is missing on a few pages. Is there any way to get around this?

Question About Embargo'd Dates and SEO Timeliness
Hello, this is a very specific SEO issue my company and I often have so we want to get a definitive answer for it. Let's say we're writing a guide about a product. Would we be better off releasing that guide as soon as we can (the information embargo date) or is it better to post that guide on the day the product officially releases for the public? We really don't know the answer here, because while we understand being first is very important, we wonder if timeliness with when people are searching for the information matters more. Thanks for all the help, Moz community!

One Page Website Blog Content Question
Hi guys, I'm new to the art of SEO and am learning every day from all the fantastic content here, I have a question that I can't find an answer to, hope it doesn't stump you like it has me... I have a one page website (www.neilwilliamsvoiceover.com) that I need to put more content on for SEO purposes but needs to be kept as one page. I've set-up a blog via blogger, and have that on the website but it's in iframe, which I've now discovered is ignored by search engines. So, my question is, is there a way to pull my blog feed into the website and have it recognised by search engines as content for the website? Would I use an RSS feed or feed burner or something else completely?! Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Guest Blogging Question!
Hi, The anchor text link connected with an article used for guest blogging, say the anchor text has 3 words and the link is in the byline, do these 3 words need to be used within the article content? For example if the article is 500 words long and the anchor text from the link is not used at all in the article content will this have a massive negative effect against using the anchor text in the article a few times? Cheers

Simple question: How many words optimal for blog posts
Hello, We're adding a blog to one of our sites. How many words should be in a blog post for it to be optimal for the search engines? If it varies from industry to industry, please give a couple of examples. We were going to do 500 words but that seems a bit long. Thanks!

Your Site and Google News Question
My site has been in Google News for about 3 years. Over the weekend, I received this message from Google Hi John, We periodically review news sources, to ensure Google News offers a high quality experience for our users. When we reviewed your site, mainstreetmonroe.com, we found that we can no longer include it in Google News at this time. We reviewed your site and are unable to include it in Google News at this time. We can't include sites that don't have a formal editorial-review process for submitted content. If this exists on your site, please let us know where and we'll be happy to review your site again. Mainstreetmonroe is scheduled to be removed from Google News for a period of at least 30 days. After this 30-day period has elapsed, you can re-apply for inclusion in Google News provided your site meets our guidelines. We appreciate your assistance in this matter. Please note that you'll still be able to find your site in Google Web Search and other Google services. Thanks for your interest in Google News. Regards, The Google News Team What exactly do they mean? I submitted my website news section, but they have been displaying our forum area in the news too. I think the forum is what GN is talking about. What is the best way to fix this problem? Move the forum to a subdomain? Question about Google News Sitemap
I'm submitting my site to Google News, have a few questions for creating my sitemap. The majority of my articles (800) are in a category called 'Disability News' (which is one of my main keywords). Around half of these posts are we're automated RSS feed posts (first 200 words of an article directly copied with a link thru to the original). The past few weeks I've been posting tons of unique content so I was thinking about moving all duplicate content into a category called 'Syndicated News' and excluding that from my Google News sitemap. Is this advisable? or should I just leave it as is?
