Can anybody recommend me a softwear to create sitemap?
-
I am trying to increase my website traffic and I know that sitemaps are super important to google and not only. So far I spent some money on softwear from several companies and the results were terrible. Money spent on nothing. I really need sugestions from you because I'm feed up to spend money on nothing.
NB: I am not a programer or website developer so my knowlegde is rather basic in this stuff but I like learning new things.
THANKS A LOT!!!

Forget this tool. I have only trouble with that. The functionality is not even $5 worth it...and I payed $25 - stay away!

This information is invariably going to come too late to you now but I've used this freeware program with great success in the past:
http://wonderwebware.com/sitemap-generator/
Their website isn't much to look at but it really does work a treat.

Thanks! I just bought the one mentioned. I will let you know how it is....so far it has scanned 5065 pages and is blocked in an error I have to solve in the website.
I keep you posted.
On a scale from 1 to 10 how important is a sitemap for search engine?
Can I see huge improvements in the traffic after I upload it?

You could use A1 Sitemap Generator:
http://www.microsystools.com/products/sitemap-generator/
It's 30 days for free but i think it is worth every dollar/euro/pound you spend on it.
It also lets you create lots of differtent sitemaps (HTML/Google sitemaps divided in sitemaps of a 100 links each or one really big one).
Hope it helps you (or someone else)..
kind regards
Jarno

Never heard of it or used it.
You just need a program on your mac that can read xml files. Download https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/smultron-5/id543634397?ls=1&mt=12.
This will allow you to read the xml file once you create it using whatever program you choose.

Do you know something about this one:
http://www.ragesw.com/products/googlesitemap.html
I've seen it being recommended on codes.google.com.
For the one from xml website i was looking at it but I think the version they have does not work on Mac.
Thanks a lot!!!

Try using the paid version of the site I recommended. I'm sure there are other quality sitemap builders out there as well besides the one I'm mentioning.

My website is big. More than 14.000 pages in this moment and is continuing to grow each day. My computer is a macbook.

How many pages do you have? If it's less than 500 (I think), you can use http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ for free
Once it's complete, download the uncompressed file and upload it to the root directory within your hosting as "sitemap.xml". Then, go to yoursite.com/sitemap.xml to verify that it's working, it should just look like a bunch of code.
Or, if you're running Wordpress, download Google XML Sitemaps. It's a plugin that will create it for you and keep it up to date (unlike the site mentioned above).
Once you have your sitemap generated, submit it within your Google Webmaster Tools account. This will increase your odds of being indexed.
Does this help?

Question About creating seperate websites or using a subdomain or just subfolders...Thanks!
I am working with a company who has created a reservation software...We have been advertising this software aggressively and have been doing well with companies coming on board...Let's call the company ABC and the url was ABC.com...Now they are launching a customer facing side of things that will have all the clients listed for consumers to book at their location...So an online marketplace...Like VRBO or AirBnB...They are taking the name of the software company and making it the url for the marketplace site...So now the marketplace is ABC.com and we need to figure out if we go with a new site for the software side or if we use subdomains or a subfolder.... Do we go with ABCSoftware.com - New root domain ABC.software.com - Subdomain ABC.com/software - Subfolder There are a few other intricacies with this...Not all the companies that use the software will be on the marketplace side...And people who book through the company but using the software have a url embedded on their site that books there directly...This booking costs the company less than a booking that comes through the marketplace so this needs to be kept separate... Thanks for the help everyone!

Can someone kindly explain what 'Crawl Issue Found: No rel="canonical" Tags' means? Is this a critical error and how can it be rectified?

Page Rank Report says #6 in Google but I can't find the page anywhere
So SEOMoz says that I've consistently ranked #6 for a certain keyword. But when I search I'm no where to be found. I've done regular searches, incognito and some non-seomoz reports and all come up with nothing in Google. I noticed it a week or two ago, but didn't think it would continue. This is no bueno. I wouldn't be surprised if I got penalized (luckily my homepage relatively well for similar keywords), an old seo consultant used very spammy tactics. I recently removed them, but not before I started to notice that I fell off the map. Why would SEOMoz not recognize this, and continue to say I'm ranking well? The keyword is bpi building analyst the page is http://www.cleanedison.com/courses/bpi-building-analyst

Can I rely on Keyword Difficulty tool?
I just ran into a problem that I hadn't expected. Testing the Keyword Difficulty I saw the results contained a result for a page that has Domain Authority=1 and Page Authority=1. As a result, Keyword Difficulty was reduced (compared to last month), which may actually be reversed if the site is crawled. Sadly, I didn't run the report on the figures as it was a small project. Questions: Can I rely on results shown by Keyword Difficulty? Are results where Domain Authority =1 are used to calculate Keyword Difficulty? If so, why is that? Is there any difference between a page that has received no links and a page that OSE/Mozscape has no link data for? The problem Using the Keyword Difficulty tool, I found swings of up to 14% in Keyword Difficulty (between Oct -Nov). Dr Pete may suggest that this is because of changes in Google's index ( http://www.seomoz.org/blog/a-week-in-the-life-of-3-keywords ). However, It would be helpful to have a figure for Keyword Difficulty that isn't affected by the gaps in the Mozscape data. The (bad) solution You can mirror something close to Keyword Difficulty using: =(Sum of Page Authorities + Sum of Domain Authorities )/20 Right now, I have resorted to manually calculating keyword difficulty. I use the SEOMoz Page Authority & Domain Authority figures and a quick splash of Excel SUMIF and COUNTIF. I find the results don't look as 'easy' when I can ignore results where the data is unknown (PageAuthority=1 & DomainAuthority = 1). Background Info One result I still have a report on is for the phrase [fixing your business puzzle] using US Results on Google. For the specific result, I found the additional information about the site: DNS lookup shows the domain was registered in 2010

Can Google see all the pages that an seomoz crawl picks up?
Hi there My client's site is showing around 90 pages indexed in Google. The seomoz crawl is returning 1934 pages. Many of the pages in the crawl are duplicates, but there are also pages which are behind the user login. Is it theoretically correct to say that if a seomoz crawl finds all the pages, then Google has the potential to as well, even if they choose not to index? Or would Google not see the pages behind the login? And how come seomoz can see the pages? Many thanks in anticipation! Wendy

Can I add more than one domain in a campaign?
There 5, 12 and 30 campaigns limit in Pro, Pro plus and Elite plan. Does that It mean that I the number of domain we can monitor per plan is equal to the number of allowed campaigns? Lets say I have 50 domains and I want to track them all. Can I manage them like the way Google Analytics do. Thanks

Where can I find documentation for the different SEO Pro Tools?
I apologize if this has been asked and answered or if the documentation is right in front of my nose, but I can't find it. I'm looking for information that explains what the various tools do and in particular, what each of the fields in the reports mean? For example, what does the "Find Links on this Domain" link mean in a Juicy Linkfinder Report? I know there are lots of resources on SEO and best practices and so on, but wondering if documentation on the specific tools exists. Thanks.
