Strange behavior of Mozbar
-
Hiz,
if i click on the mozbar button in chrome it shows me in red that this page contains multiple meta description tags. please see screenshot attached.
while if i vew source of my pages it only contains 1 meta description. can anyone check and verify please.
cheers

Hi,
I see but it can be a reason, they are identical. Try to change twitter and property and check. It is possible that SEO MOZ crawler/scaner looks only for "description" ?
-
That's funny coz twitter:description and OG:Description are two different metas, not the same as description
-
Hi,
As I see in the code you have exactly the same descriptions
"A photographic collection of hunting animals. See how these built for the kill creatures rule the jungles. A nature photography extravaganza."
for:
meta name="description"
meta name="twitter:description
meta property='og:description'
and it can be a reason.

H1 Mystery with Mozpro and Mozbar
Moz's crawler has notified me that the H1s for all the blog posts are missing but Mozbar says the page title is designated as the H1 for each post. In Wordpress, the code to the page title is not accessible in "text." I viewed page source and took a look through the code to find the H1 connected to the page title, but couldn't locate it. Usually, Wordpress themes automatically give the page title an H1 tag. Interested to hear any further insights on this topic...

MozBar in Chrome hides the top of the web page
I prefer the MozBar at the top of the browser. When using the Firefox browser the MozBar does not hide any of the web page. When using the Chrome browser the MozBar (depending on the site) often hides the top portion of the web page. Is there a way I can use the MozBar at the top of Chrome and get the same functionality as Firefox? Best,

My Mozbar SERP overlay stopped working when I updated to Firefox 20.0!
I tried restarting Firefox, rebooting my computer (Mac), uninstalling and reinstalling the Mozbar, still nothing. I use that data a lot, so I'd love to get it back...

Strange nothing site ranking
Hi There. If you check who ranks for "credit cards" there is a website https://www.woolworthsmoney.com.au/ that is in position #5 This is a highly competitive keyword, but OpenSiteExporer.org cannot give me any backlinks for it. it says "No Data Available for this URL" The same thing happens in Market Samurai - no data 1. What are these guys doing that the others are not? 2. How come OSE can't pull any data for it?

Strange Links in OSE
Hey seomozers, The most recent Linkscape update has created some strange links to our domain. They are links which when I navigate to are download links, here is one example: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4.9/updates/x86_64/headers/kernel-largesmp-0-2.6.9-89.0.25.EL.x86_64.hdr Now this links has nothing to do with our site and I can't see how it would count as a link to our domain, can anyone shed some light on why these types of links are being crawled as a link to our domain? Thanks Nigel

Strange Ranking On 1st Page Of Google For Competitive Keyword
Hey all, So, I've noticed a site ranking on the first page in Google for a keyword that I have been targeting for years. The keyword is "mixtapes" and pretty competitive. The site, http://www.newyorkmixtapes.com is ranking around #4 in Google. It seemed odd to me so I looked into the site using some of the tools here. Open Explorer showed that they have minimal links. The actual site is pretty spammy also. Does anyone have any idea how this site ranked so high so fast? Is it ranking because I am located in New York? Does Google still put lots of weight on exact match domains? It's just been bothering me because it's a keyword that I put a lot of work into and then the site rolls around an ranks well for it with barely any backlinks. I just wanted to put it out there and see if I'm missing something obvious. Thanks everyone!
