Incorrect country listed in Google organic listing.
-
Hi,
I have a client called 'Ivana Daniell'. She is a Pilates/ Movement Therapy/ Postural Assessment practitioner based in London.
She has been based in the UK since 2011. Prior to that her studio was in Singapore.
Her website URL is:
If you Google her using the UK engine (www.google.co.uk) using the term 'London Pilates' she comes up in the top four, but her organic listing appears with a small tag which reads "- singapore".
I have attached an image of how it appears.
This makes many searchers overlook her, believing that she is based overseas.
We host her website here in the UK and have removed any reference to Singapore from the website. We have even put an h card on her site to indicate that she is London based.
The client believes that this might be the result of an old Google places account of hers, from her time in Singapore. However I have not been able to find any such listing by searching for it in Google and, because it was allegedly set up by her former marketing manager, she does not have her username or password to the account. She has lost touch with the marketing manager and has no way to get the login details.
To reiterate however I have seen no proof to suggest that this listing even exists.
So, the question!
1. What could be causing the word 'singapore' to be appearing next to the organic listing?
2. If it is the result of an inaccurate Google Places listing, how do I delete this listing without either the username or password?
3. If this is not what is causing 'singapore' to appear by the organic listing, how do I get rid of the 'singapore' word?
Thanks very much and Happy New Year mozzers!
Edward

Brand name not ranking in Google
Hi Moz'ers, Could you help me with something I cannot seem to figure out by myself. In June 2017 my company started a rebranding campaign. We've changed our brand name and launched a new website: https://spotler.com. Everything is going fine, but if you Google our brand name "Spotler" our website doesn't show up. How can it be? Our domain authority is 38. It would be wonderful if you could help me. Let me know if you need more information. Best, Simone

Google Page Speed
Is it worthwhile going after a good score on Google page speed? Had prices but a LOT of money, and don't know if it's worth it or not. Also to add to the complication it is a new site. Does anyone have any experience if it helps rankings? Thanks

Country specific results
Our country specific pages reside as a subfolder under the main domain. So for example in US it's /us/, in Canada it's /ca/. What we've noticed is that Google Canada is showing US pages in some of the search results. Does anyone have experience with how to direct Google to display country specific page results?

Hi Guys, I have a website that received unnatural link message. We had started link removal process, disavowed not approachable links and file reconsideration four times but all the times Google sent some samples of unnatural links and rejected our reconsideration. Last week we again disavowed non approachable links and planned to file reconsideration after a week but today when i tried to file reconsideration, Manual action message was disappeared. We haven't received any message from Google. The same case was happened with one more of our site earlier. Manual action disappeared means it has been revoked or something else??

My own brand name disappeared from google?
Hi, about 20-30 hours ago my own brand name disappeared from google results (We redirected old domain to new one about a month ago) My website is: www.websiteplanet.com If you search for Website Planet in google you will not find our homepage any longer.

Not only that the brand name disappeared but we also dropped in rankings and lost about %50 of the organic traffic we had. It's important for me to say that we have never done any sort of blackhat or even greyhat SEO, at all. I could probably come up with many ideas of why it happened but maybe one of you mozzers already experienced this and could enlighten me. Will really appreciate any kind of response/help. Thanks.0 -
