Tips to know best adwords keywords of competitors?
-
I am about to run adwords campaign. I have questions-
-
I want to know best adwords keywords that competitors are targetting. Is there any good way to find out the best keywords that competitors use which generate large amount of traffic to them?
-
Can someone guide me how to use adwords in best possible way such as how to pay less and yet receive large number of targeted traffic? Tips are welcome from the community.
I am about to start a campaign for this website which deals with Independent Sales Reps. So the adwords keywords will be related to Independent sales representatives who help in establishing new businesses and exporters.

Check out SpyFu. It is bar none the best search ad research tool I use. Beyond that though, performing your own searches, actually going to your competitor's landing pages, and so on can give you a wealth of knowledge about the user experience that tools will not give you.
As far as learning goes, Advanced Google AdWords (which was already mentioned) and the old, but still relevant, Search Engine Marketing would be where I would start.

1. If you use the Google keyword tool, you can search the competitors website, it will supply a list of keywords it thinks is relevant to their website - It's not the keywords they are bidding on but might unlock some potential terms.
Apart from that you could grab some data from something called 'Hitwise' which uses ISP data.
2. Here is the idea - In order to bring your CPC down you need a high quality score, you gain a high quality score through landing page and ad relevance to the keyword combined with a high CTR.
You bid high to start off to gain high positions which gives you a good CTR, this increases quality score and drops your CPC.
Hope that helps a little.

how about searching for terms you think a visitor would find relevant
Doing this alone is great advice.
The best way to assure mediocre performance is to copy a competitor.

It isn't very easy finding out the best performing keywords of a competitor, but how about searching for terms you think a visitor would find relevant, and seeing if your competitions shows up for it? Then search for variations on that.
When you create your own campaign, make sure you do phrase matching or exact matching, that's the only way to know how well a certain keywords performs, I've seen google send clicks for completely irrelevant searches for broad match which their algorithms thought was relevant.

What you are asking for (especially #2) requires a lot of time, study and research to accomplish.
So, I recommend that you begin with self-study by getting a copy or "Advanced Google Adwords" by Brad Geddes and reading it carefully twice and practicing the topics as you read.

It is really hard to make money in some niches with adwords - especially for common retail items. To win you must have access to inventory and shipping at very low costs. If you don't have that you will be eaten alive.

Competing Pages for Ranking Keywords?
Hey there, My client has this existing page which ranks for rentals-related keywords that are product type specific - i.e. electric wheelchair rentals, mobility scooter rentals, etc. https://mobilityequipmentforless.com/pages/rentals I recently made a rentals page for each product type to try and really target those keywords that the rentals page is ranking for. Is this a problem? Is the potential nature of the pages competing for the keywords a real issue? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Mike

Different Blog Articles - What about Keywords Cannibalization?
Hi everyone, I have a question in regards to blog articles and long tail keywords variation. I usually create landing pages for the services of my business and create related topics for my blog with long tail keywords (tips, best practice, etc.). However, by using this method, I am a bit worried about the ranking of the different pages/blog posts. _(See Attachment - in this example, I tracked it with Serplab. MOZ keywords tracking is giving me the same result anyway). _ I created a blog post with a related topic 'office interior design tips'. Unfortunately, when looking at the ranking, the previous page (office-design) is not ranking anymore for this keywords and instead, the blog post office-interior-design-tips took his place. It moved from position 11 to 29 only because I created a blog post related to the topic. Therefore, what happened to the previous page? Does it stop to rank for this keywords once there is another blog post that is related to it? How can we avoid this fluctuation of ranking due to cannibalization? One can assume that by creating relevant content related to this topic, it should rank higher no? Thanks in advance for your answers. serp.png

Is the Adwords keywords planner accurate ?
Hey guyz,
Keyword Research | | atakala
As you guyz do, I base all my seo effort into the keywords' traffic and quality which I can get from Adwords Keywords Planner.
But this post has confused my mind .
It' says the average searches doesn't exactly the average searches.
And everything is okay here now I can say that of course it's not %100 accurate.
But the shocking part is he gives an example of how a big gap there is between real searches number and adwords keywords planner tools give us . What do you think guyz?
Can it be true ?
(And also last time I asked a question, Randy has replied me, If possible please Randy do it again :D.)

Keywords + Country?
Hey guys, Let's say that I'm doing on-site SEO for a website that sells football shirts. This website targets 5 different countries. We only have a .com domain and no other country specific domains will be added at this point. When I choose the keywords, do I opt for product name + country or only product name? football shirts france or football shirts? Some info: Countries have been added in the title of the pages. Countries appear in the footer. Thank You.

On-page Keyword Optimization
So I have created a page for the term "denver buick" but the next largest search term is for "buick denver." Should I create another page focusing on this keyword, or optimize one page for both? It's hard to come up with unique content since they are the basically the same term. But most importantly, if I make this new page, how do I incorporate it into the site architecture? Thanks!
