After enthusiastically telling a client we had a new offering where we could offer more insights into social media activity i enthusiatically dived into SEO Moz's social reporting tab with the ainm of synching the report to the clients facebook page.
But after 20 mins of getting an error message it was clear I could not get SEO moz's socail media reporting tab to sunch up with http://www.facebook.com/#!/TennantsAuction or
http://www.facebook.com/TennantsAuctionHere is a screen shot of my frustration:http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/cant-hook-in-facebook-seo-mozcopy.jpg
I realise i have to have admin access to the facebook account which the client can give me but i need to know please is the feature broken or am i doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance,
David

Hey David,
It looks like our engineers found an update that Facebook has made some changes to their API that has disabled the type of authentication that we use to connect the Facebook page to your campaign. We are looking for a solution to this issue right now, but I'm afraid it may take a while for us to find a way to work with the changes that Facebook has made, so thank you for your patience in the meantime.
If you have any other questions about this issue, I would recommend that you write in to help@seomoz.org, where the Help Team will be able to answer you directly.

Hello David,
I can confirm that the Facebook feature in seomoz is working. In your screenshot it looks like you used the whole Facebook url but you only need to enter your username.
Also there is no way around it of having admin access to the Facebook account. Facebook will ask you if you want to allow seomoz to access information from the Facebook Page (for instance "Insight").
Hope that helps.
Johannes

Does having a sub-domain on a different server affect SEO?
I'm working with a company that has a hard-coded website on the root domain, and then a WordPress blog on a subdomain on a separate server. We're planning on implementing a hub and spoke model for their content, hosting the main hubs on the root domain and the linked articles on the blog. Is having the blog on a different server going to hinder our SEO efforts?

Does a tag inside H1 affect SEO?
We are using a tag inside our H1 tag to display a second line of text, usually for extra information and making the tag appeal like a intro text for the visitor and not just a optimized SEO tag. Transfer of website to maintain SEO
I am nearly finished building a new wordpress website to replace the old static HTML site which is currently doing very well in SERPs. My old site is currently hosted by a company who owns the site, my domain is registered with a different company and I have the nameservers pointed at Cloudflare. I have built my new site and have it hosted with a different company and I wish to keep the domain name registered with the company it is currently with.Is there an order that I should follow to move from the old site to the new site using my current domain name so that I minimize any impact on SEO. I built the new site with the same URL structure to maintain linking benefit. thanks

My lp is above well know domain names such as: wikia.com , blizzard.com , and also above a keyworded domain name: www.wizardbuilds.com/ Is just because my website is focus in brazilian google( .com.br ) or is because my landing page are better than the others( i don't think so)? ECommerce Platform Switch and SEO Loss
Hi - We're switching eCommerce platforms, and naturally we're worried about losing organic search ranking. From what I've read on the message boards, I understand it's important to try to minimize as many 301 redirects as possible. Here's my problem: Our Product URLs are like this (ex: http://www.stupid.com/fun/TOLMG.html). On the new platform, URLs cannot contain capital letters. 😞 According to the new eCommerce platform's design team: "Google and other search engines do not see that as a change in URL, they are not case sensitive and will not affect search listings" How accurate is this? And how come on our current platform, if I use an all lowercase URL, it get a 401? (ex: http://www.stupid.com/fun/tolmg.html) Will we be fine switching our Product URLs to lowercase on the new platform? One thing also to note: Our Category URLs will remain the same. Are there any other areas of a typical eCommerce store that I should avoid changing URLs if I want to prevent SEO loss? Thanks! -Justin
