How Benefitial is Guest Blogging?
-
So my question is, if you are getting guest posts on sites with high Domain Authority, is it really that benefitial since the actual post will have a low page authority? Is just getting a post on a high domain authority that good?
-
If the blog has good DA I would suggest it does have good benefit especially if it is on topic for your website.
I think its a combination of several factors such as:
-
New audience that you wouldn't normally have access to.
-
Related website giving you a link.
*Author/Brand awarenes & trust.
Not to mention I have had guest blog articles become extremely popular on twitter and facebook far more popular than I would ever been able to generate on my clients site alone.

Great answers by Justin and Aran. One thing that I'd like to add is make sure that guest posting or any other specific kind of link building is not a major portion of your links. A decent mix aka Natural Links. In simple words, don't over do any one kind/technique of links and you should be good. And as Justin and Aran said, the intent behind guest posting should be to get branding and exposure. Getting your brand in front of the readers of that website. As far as the DA/PA and other metrics are concerned, they would come with it. I would look at what brings you more readers, maybe some traffic. You would want to try and engage with the community. So if you look at Guest Posts in terms of exposure instead of PA/DA, you tend to get better results long term in my opinion.

Agreed with Justin, however I would also hope that my guest post page authority would grow over time.
I generally like to do a social campaign on guest blog posts to ensure I get the URL in front of as many people as possible in the hope of helping the PA grow.

Although this doesnt strictly answer your question.....
In my opinion, guest blogging has negligible benefit in terms link juice, sure a blog with a good Domain Auth and Page Auth will certainly do no harm in the eyes of Google, it certainly isn't main reason you should guest blog.
Guest blog's real benefit come in the form of brand awareness and recognition, great content will equal click throughs to your site, the blog has the potential to be linked to and shared on social networks (which in turn means more click throughs and links).
So when writing a guest blog, i would be far more concerned on how relevant it is to the community of that blog and the potential reach of your post rather than the domain auth and page rank.
Hope that helps (even if it doesn't strictly answer your question!)

Does Google crawler understand & flag a blog post has text asserting sponsorship with dofollow outbound link?
I kind of know the answer, but just wanted to get some feedback from others. For the sake of argument, assume there are no other issues with the linking blog, such as: too many ads, thin content, etc. Question: If you make a payment for a blog post with a dofollow link, and in the blog post there is something to the effect of: "this post has been sponsored by..." Will Google crawlers detect that and flag that as an unnatural link?

Blogger relationship - One Off VS periodic monthly blogging (which is best)
Good day all, I am interested in building relationships with my bloggers (i.e...people that are interested in my website and blog about it regularly). I would also propose to them the idea of blogging about our page regularly, perhaps recurring monthly. If the strategy is in place, could receiving links from the same bloggers each month cause any negative SEO effects? Thanks for your input.

Blog commenting - dos and don'ts
Dear Community, I'm getting into blog commenting heavily now for the relationships I'm building with other bloggers. I think the relationships I will build with these other influencers will be helpful. But I'm concerned that Google may penalize my site if I have a lot of links coming from blog commenting. If I sense that a blog is spammy, obviously I stay away. I've also noticed that a number of CommentLuv sites include a link to my latest blog post, and that has helped me greatly in promoting my posts and building readership. I am also interested in the follow links I get from it, but concerned in that regard that (1) Google won't count those follow links (won't pass page rank) and (2) Google will penalize me for some reason or in some way. What does everyone think about this approach of blog commenting, and in particular, including posting some comments on CommentLuv blogs. Thanks! Mike

Link Building on Blog Posts w/ Ads & Mostly Pictures
I found a group of similar websites that offer anchor text links with good to great domain and page authority (30 to 75), but I'm not sure how "safe" they are. Most of their posts are compilations of images/logos and there are a lot of ads on the page. Would links from sites like TutorialChip.com help or would Google discount them because of the nature of the site? Thanks!

One Blog Comment Now on Many Pages of The Same Domain
My question is I blog commented on this site http://blogirature.com/2012/07/01/half-of-200-signals-in-googles-ranking-algorithm-revealed/#comment-272 under the name "Peter Rota". For some reason the recent comments is a site wide link so, bascially my link from my website is pretty much on each page of their site now. I also noticed that the anchor text for each one of my links says "Peter Rota". This is my concern will google think its spammy if im on a lot of pages on a same site for one blog comment, and will I be penailzied for the exact same anchor text on each page? If this is the case what could I do in trying to get the links removed? thanks

Links In Blog Posts: 1 Paragraph VS. Full Article
Hey guys, I've been using an article network to post unique articles (not spun). Been posting 1 paragraph articles with 1 text link. Just wondering what the main difference would be if I were to post a full article with 2 or 3 text links vs 1 paragraph with 1 text link, besides the fact that you get more links and save more time writing only 1 paragraph. Will the full article with 3 backlinks improve keyword ranks more or not by much? Cheers!
